Better than the original seal.

It takes a lot of time and effort to get the seal installed. But once installed, it works better than the original. I had to use my heat gun to heat up the rubber so that it was pliable enough to install.

Easy replacement

My door jamb is between the garage and the house. It’s concrete. It was a choice of replacing the rubber or replacing the whole unit. Much easier to replace rubber than drilling me hole to mount a new threshold. ????

Direct replacement for old and worn transition strips

Was unsure if this was even a replaceable part. I was happy when I discovered this replacement piece! Our old one was flat and allowing some water to seep in during heavy rain storms. This replacement strip created a like-new and tight seal between the transition and bottom of the patio door. Simply tear out the old one with a flat head screw driver, clean the channels. Measure what size the new one need to be and trim with a sharp blade. Then align it in the channels and press it in with a rubber mallet or a little elbow grease and viola! ☺

Perfect rubber replacement

This was absolutely the best price and, it fit the threshold perfectly. I might just order another just to have as a back up.

Perfect replacement for existing threshold

Fits the existing M-D threshold perfectly and at a reasonable price. The big box stores quit carrying M-D products in my area and their new brand does not carry a replacement rubber insert for the threshold. They want to sell you the complete aluminum threshold when you only need a new replacement rubber seal. I bought two on Amazon and now have a spare.

Doesn't fit their standard threshold

Purchased a threshold assembly at Home Depot and within a year the insert split. Surprisingly none of the insert replacements mentioned the model I had but I decided that this one looked like it would fit but it doesn't. The problem isn't the insert quality but the lousy product support from M-D.

Good Replacement

Perfect replacement and good quality so far. The original collapsed due to foot traffic from garage/laundry room door step.
