Fixed big gap

But a new house door downstairs had a huge gap this work perfect very easy to put on last 4 inches needed a 2 x 4 and a hammer to slam it in but if it's tight works good.

Really cuts down on drafts

I had 2 door that had old original sweeps on them. The wind was crossing thru the house and creating a haunting wind noise. Took off old sweeps, measure and cut these to size with a hacksaw. Taped into place with rubber mallet. Perfect fit and no more wind noise in the house. The new sweeps needed time to break in. At first the door was really hard to close or open, But after a few days, that issue stopped and the sweeps are great!! Highly recommend if you have light shining thru at bottom of any door or wind nose coming thru.

A Pain to Trim. Still needs screws.

I got this because mice were coming under my garage door and under an exterior door to get in the house. I bought 3: one for my pantry, one for my linen closet, and one for the exterior door leading to the garage. 1. The linen closet was the exact same width as the sweep so it was easy to glide on in mere seconds. Problem: However, when I close the door, this sweep moves and doesn't stay in place. It tries to roll under the door and come off, which scraps and damages the wood on the door, so I am going to put two screws in to keep it in place. 2. The pantry door is shorter than this sweep so I had to trim it several inches. Thank goodness for the guy who suggested a hacksaw! My utility knife wouldnt' cut this hard vinyl at all! The hacksaw barely cut it and ended up getting bent and taking a lot of elbow grease to saw through it. I wish the company would recommend the right tool to cut it. Maybe a circular saw would have been great but mine no longer has a battery. Once I cut it, it glided onto the pantry door easily and closed easily. No screws needed to stay on. 3. The exterior door . Fitting the sweep on this door gave me the most problems. First the door is thicker and it was very hard to attach the sweep. I had to laboriously trim it again, praying my hacksaw would last. Dont' try to trim it while it's on the door because it's impossible. Measure and trim first. Next, I had to find a way to get it on because the fit was very tight and while I pushed and pulled with all my might, I couldn't get it on. Thankfully, I read that using vaseline inside the sweep could help as well as a mallet. So, I greased the sweep and got a hammer. That worked. But once I got it on the door wouldn't close! Since it was so hard to get on, I couldnt' take it off. So I had to force the door closed and ended up jamming the lock. Now the door won't open. So, for this door, I wish I had gotten a seal that just adhered to the outside and that did not have to go under the door. Still, this is a very good product for the right door.

Not metal

The description of this product says Vinyl. But the product details say Alluminum, metal. I had only noticed the product details prior to buying, so I thought it would be metal. This product is Vinyl (or plastic). It is definitely a nice product and went on great, and just what I wanted, but it is not metal. -1 star for incorrect product listing.

Works as advertised.

First, measure twice cut once. Even though I know better I cut one I got from the local BBS too short. So I ordered this one. It slid on with some force, tapping with a hammer which is good IMO. Through no fault of this product and because there is no actual threshold, just the kitchen tile under the door and the tile isn't perfectly flat and square with the door there is still a small gap, but it's much better than before. A threshold that is flat, square with the door and slightly higher than the floor would make this work perfectly.

So easy to install

It was a perfect fit for our 20 year old steel front door. The original strip was breaking into pieces each time we opened the door so I was thrilled that within 2 min we had the new one in place and closing beautifly

Stays put and blocks the draft.

Installed 10 days ago. Easy to cut its length. Stays in place. Tight for our gap - makes swinging the door difficult. But it stopped the air coming in.

Funcional

Este protector lo compre para puerta de entrada quedo ajustado a la puerta en lo ancho pero en la parte de abajo esta muy forzado de manera que la puerta se atora un poco, pensaba comprar mas para otras puertas que lo requieren pero el claro que hay entre la puerta y el piso no es mucho y no entra, así que te recomiendo que verifiques este claro antes de pedir el producto por que puede ser que no entre.

Solo se adapta a un grueso de puerta

Las puertas de exterior suelen ser más gruesas que esta barrera, así que solo sirve para puertas delgadas usualmente usadas en interiores. Además requieren una abertura de la puerta al piso mayor a 1 cm porque en rendijas menores el sello impide cierrar la puerta. Lucía mejor opción pero resultó poco útil. Al final no lo pude devolver porque pensé que podría resolverlo haciendo un pequeño corte con cuchilla pero lo arruiné y terminé desechándolo a la basura.

Bastante bueno

Generalmente no hago una reseña de un producto adquirido sin antes haberlo usado por algún tiempo especifico. Adquirí este producto por su calidad y accesibilidad de precio; el mismo viene de un tamaño considerado y solo tuve que cortarlo de acuerdo a la puerta donde lo colocaría, se ajusta bastante bien a la puerta lo cual evita que se filtren insectos y/o polvo basura para la hendidura; debido a los resultados obtenidos es que puedo recomendarlo.

En general muy bien

Muy util para evitar el polvo y luz, sin embargo no asila el ruido, y necesita del espacio perfecto en la puerta para funcionar óptimamente. Tuve que recordarlo personalmente para que funcionara en mi puerta que no es completamente recta.
