This was tricky but we got it on
First off we should have measured and cut before trying to install the first time however, we did get it cut down and tried to install it and there was a lot of pushing and pulling for two adults to get it on our door. it was just a slip on device. You need some major elbow grease to get it to slide on. This could be cause our door is thick but i did measure it and it was the correct size. I would possibly look into a bit larger one if i did it again. However, after installed it fits like a gem and helps keep the air from moving under the door and critters from coming in. Overall we are happy with this product and will be searching for some strips to go around the sides and top of our old doors.

Easy DIY project
The direct door seal is an easy to install once you get the original seal off the door. My doors had the seals in tracks under the door, but with a little prying with a big screw driver and a hammer I was able to get them off. Cutting the Direct Door Seal is easy but you do need a miter box to keep the cut even. It is a tight fit (which you want) so it will stay on. I was able to get the door seal about 50% on and the friction was making it hard to slide it all the way on. I used a two by four wood block on the end of the door seal to gently tap it on using a hammer (never hit the plastic directly). It slid in place perfectly. I have white doors and the color matches very well. This is a lot easier than taking your door off the hinges and installing a bottom seal (which would be less visible). I was able to do a door in under 15 minutes, so pretty easy. It will be even easier if I ever need to replace it.

works great; here's an installation tip to make it easier
Spray both sides of the door bottom and the insides of the sweep with glass cleaner before installing. It will make the installation much easier and then it evaporates. Great product and value.

Finally
I've tried three other products similar to this and none of them lasted a week. This one is on week 4 and still going strong.

Easy to install and door still opens and closes easily
Product was fairly easy to shorten with hacksaw. Easy to install on door once my husband (who is twice my weight) used his big feet to kick the seal onto the door. I had been sitting on the floor pushing with my arms and got stuck about halfway. A hammer would probably work in lieu of large feet. I like that there's no tape, screws, etc. to install. Probably depends on how thick your door is how well it will stay attached to door. I can no longer feel the cold air under the door and can easily open and close the door.

Works well
Fills the gap under the door. Work good for the draft. It does bother at the edge of the door. Minor adjustments needed.

Solid value if your door meets the specs
My expectations weren't very high for a cheap sweep but I was rather pleased with what I got and the results. The material (vinyl) in the photos make the thing looks somewhat hard/dry/plastic-y so I was somewhat uncertain how well it would work, but it's actually nicely balanced. The walls of the sweep that adhere to the door are thicker and more rigid to create a very tight grip while the fins are thinner and bend more easily, vinyl soft and durable to create a good seal. One side of my door has a 1/2" gap and the hinge side has a much much narrower gap but it adjusts on both sides perfectly well to create a perfect seal. There is zero light leaking in from outside now. If you have a standard 1 3/4" door this thing definitely installs without adhesive or screws and can maintain grip. This might have to do with what surface your door has - mine has a coat of latex paint. In fact, the thing is so tight that installation is much easier with a rubber mallet. Sliding it in manually is probably going to be an effort so be aware. Aside from that, installation is a breeze. Measure twice, cut once. Also, once you actually install the thing, you might run into some minor issues with the door not closing if you for example, push the sweep a tad too deep and it bumps into the hinge. Recommend having a utility knife or clippers to do some fine trimming at the ends and this can clean up these sorts of issues. Glad I went with this product.

Great product!
So easy - slides on to bottom of door (Use a hammer to tap it along, into place). It was a little too long - Instructions recommend trimming with saw, but I managed to use a kitchen knife to make a groove, and then I twisted off the extra plastic with a wrench. Just be innovative! Now door closes perfectly and no gap under the door. Once I took off my old door stop piece to replace with this new one, I saw why there was a gap - the old one had all the vinyl flaps worn off. Seems we need to replace every 3 years or so. Worth it for 20$ and so easy! This one has lots of vinyl flaps to keep the cold out.

Good quality door seal
Easy to install and to cut to size. Forms a good seal. I did use screws to ensure it stayed in place and did a final trim to size once it was in place with a utility knife.

I used this product as a replace ad my was not working efficiently any longer. It was simple to install and fit my door perfectly. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking forward a replacement.

So easy to install.
Got a replacement for the old one from a big box store-it didn’t work. This is simple to put in place and works great.

Fits Well
Replaced previous door bottom seal that had failed, rubber seals tearing off. This one appears to be a more durable and is a nice fit. It's providing 100% seal while there is less interference when opening and closing the doors, so I'm hoping the rubbers will last. Time will tell.
