Replaced an older Dustbuster

I grew up with them and as an adult, I have always had a Dustbuster in my homes. I have four small dogs, hardwood and tile floors. The previous Dustbuster started to die, would lose power after using for a few minutes. I had it for 5 years. This replacement was also my Christmas present, so I got the super powered wet/dry version. Can't say I'm as overly impressed as I thought I would be. Yes, it has better suction. I like the wet pickup option. No, I don't like that dog hair quickly clogs the machine. I usually have to stop and empty a few times when I am cleaning around the baseboards. The way the unit's dirt up is made, you have several steps to empty as opposed to the older version. It was easier. Also, do not like how it hangs on the wall. I put the new DB where my last one went in the kitchen. You have to contort how you plug the cord into the DB and as a result, the cord is always falling out of the hanger that is screwed into the wall. I guess they want people to charge it standing up on a base more that the "old fashioned way". I guess I just feel companies like Black and Decker are trying to improve on their tried and true products, but are taking away simple features that made people love to use them to begin with. I like the simplicity of the Dustbuster. It helps me clean around baseboards and use it after I sweep instead of a dust pan. It's my go to cleaning machine.

Not happy

This product does not measure up to my previous Shark Dustbuster. That being said, this product does not perform well. I dislike it very much.

Good but not great

I bought this because I have a dog who sheds quite a bit so I have to sweep or vacuum almost every day to keep up. I initially didn't like this at all, the angle of the vacuum nose is awkward and it wasn't picking up anything at all at first, because of how I was holding it. I figured out the angle was the issue and it's better, but not great. Takes some effort to figure out how to hold it so it will work every time I use it, and sometimes it doesn't work at all, like on fabric surfaces. It only seems to work on hard, flat surfaces. I've switched back to my broom and dustpan.

Love it!

So glad I brought this. I use it in my home and its great in my car. Had a 12 cup coffee disaster recently and it sucked up all of the water. I was a little hesitant but it worked great. Definitely recommend!

Excellent little vacuum - does Wet & Dry - convenient

This little guy works well for its size - sucks up dust and debris. And a big plus is that it can handle spills with no problem - which is the main reason I bought it. E.g. a spill on a carpet is hard to mop up. So i use this to suck out as much liquid as possible. Then I finish off with paper towel. Works great for the car too!

Decent suction, but held back by tiny intake and limited capacity, especially at this price

After the abyssmal experience we had with the Dirt Devil competition - https://www.amazon.com/review/R1OMA3Z02ZNN7E/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm - we decided to go ahead and pay the premium for this model of Black+Decker. This time, I did my research. If I need to claim on the warranty, I can do so by hand delivering it to a servicing location - of which there is one here in Austin, Texas. Brand new, this vacuum works well enough, but then so did the Dirt Devil, so we'll see how the battery holds up. We use a handheld vacuum for cleaning up after ourselves after we clean up after our pets, so it needs to be able to handle cat litter and hamster leavings, including popcorn kernels. This one does the job pretty well, though not as well as the much cheaper Dirt Devil did, when new, for the reasons detailed below. That said, the Dirt Devil is in the garbage less than a year after it was purchased, as they wanted me to pay to ship them the $18 vacuum when it died in order to claim on the so-called warranty. The tiny mouth and small capacity hold this thing back. All of the manufacturer's pictures do a really good job of hiding that, so I have included pictures with a United States quarter for reference. For the price-point, the capacity and mouth size is somewhat ridiculous, but there seems to be a strange lack of competition, so I guess this is about as good as it gets right now. I could live with the capacity if they sold a cheap wide-mouth addon or something. If such a thing exists, it doesn't seem to be attached to their web page for the device, or anywhere on Amazon. On the plus side, at least the exhaust vent doesn't exhsust onto your hand like some models I read about, and the vacuum itself is pretty light, although I'm not sure if I wouldn't take a heavier machine if it meant I could get done with the job more quickly because it had a reasonable intake and capacity.

Aspira bien los líquidos, con el polvo se tapa rápido el filtro

La compré porque aspira líquidos y sólidos, y cumple bien estas funciones, pero con el polvo se tapa rápido el filtro, por lo que hay que limpiarlo seguido, en general funciona bien.

Descepcionante..

Esta es la tercera aspiradora de mano que tengo, las 3 de la misma carta, pero esta queprometia aspirar hasta liquidos, no solo no cumplio con expectativas sino que se apaga constantemente: no dura ni un minuto encendida. Quizas tuve mala suerte de recibir una con fallas pero no me dan ganas de sustituirla por otra igual.

Muy práctico, fácil de usar, ya que efectivamente succiona la basura pequeña de rincones de mi casa así como las migajas que tira mi bebé
