Quicker cleaner upper.

This is for you if you have a pet that poops on a carpet or rug. A 3-minute quick clean is all it takes (most of the time). For me, the 3-minute quick clean is perfect. If you use the deep cleaning mode, it may take out the color of the carpet/rug, or so I've been warned.

This thing is magical for dealing with cat puke on the rug

One of my cats is on prescription food because she has stomach issues. When she hairballs or pukes on the carpet, it's dark orange because of the food. It used to be that my wife or I would have to use sprays like Resolv to clean it and it would take many applications to finally get the stain out of the light colored carpet the previous homeowners put in. With this, though, I pick up as much of the solids as I can with a paper towel, put the SpotBot down with it's scrubbing circle over the stain, press the deep clean button, and 5 minutes later it beeps, I lift it up, and 90% of the time the stain is completely gone. Occasionally it takes a second run to get it all, but even then it is much less aggravation than cleaning by hand. My wife was very skeptical about buying this, but after the first time we used it (and the cat "conveniently" puked while I was unpacking the spotbot) she was convinced and said we should have bought one years ago. It even cleaned up some leftover bits of stain that we'd given up on.

Must have for pet parents

I tell everyone who has a pet to get this. My one cat has a sensitive stomach then you add in hairballs and it's cleanup time about once per week. Carpet cleaners like resolve would fully rinse off so carpet looked weird after drying. This you just push a button and walk away. Hand hose is great for cleaning up small spills on couch. Another must have.

Love this thing

I bought this to replace the first one we had bought in 2017- the hose cracked all the way around & not worth trying to replace the part so I bought a new one. We have 2 dogs & 2 kids so we get A LOT of use from this amazing little machine. I even bought one for our friends as a wedding gift as they also have 2 dogs. I really have no negative feelings for this thing!

The only consumer carpet cleaning product I recommend.

I'm a former professional carpet cleaner, and as a professional, when you hear a customer say "I tried to clean it" usually the product they used made it worse, or was entirely useless, unless one of these were involved. There's a couple small caveats to using these, but they're all covered in the instructions. I bought one for my sister as a wedding gift, and she calls me at least once a month to thank me for saving her from another disaster.

Great - most expensive portable unit should come with stair tool

Great item, very simple to use. Ensure to read the actual chart below showing all of the models. This will confirm the 2117a model DOES NOT come with the stair tool and only one solution. This is transparent if you read into it; however, given this model is $250 (regular price; now on sale for $200) which is the highest priced portable unit, it should come with the stairs tool. Your cheaper $180 models come with it and you offer it online for $75… this should really be the other way around as it makes absolutely no sense. Other than that, this is a great item, works well, overall happy with purchase.

No scrubbing. But you do need to suck up the excess liquid.

First off, i was missing some stuff from the box but amazon corrected that quickly, not a big deal. I got a puppy in December, and before his neuter, this little nugget would pee everywhere. It was BAD. I spent a solid day with this and this machine is great. Funny thing about urine, is even after you clean it, it tends to stick around; so i do intend to have the carpets professionally cleaned. But if used Immediately, you're good to go. Also i dropped some coffee on my bedroom floor and this worked great. I do suck out more water with the attachment afterwards, which it seems a lot of people dont like. But its just so easy. Im no carpet cleaner aficionado, but this is so hands free and easy. I love it. No more scrubbing.

Cleans disgustingly well

Works disgustingly well... I have a grey couch and I kept a couch cover on it since I have two young kids - easier to clean but starting to get holes and not the easiest to take off.. I’ve tried hand washing my couch but not quite the same as this amazing tool. I was so grossed out to see how brown/dirty my couch really was. There were stains on the couch (soaked through from spills) that I was able to clean and you could see a major difference once the couch was dry. I cleaned my parents couch too which has never had a cover or anything on it, over 10 years old. Their couch is chocolate brown so it wasn’t as noticeable for cleanliness. I suggest cleaning the couch with the solution then once again with just water as it dries a little crusty from the soap. Overall, 100% recommend!

Lean, blue, cleaning machine

Works amazingly well on cat barf stains! Very easy to use. Great suction. Not as big as expected, which is great - not as heavy. Goes through a lot of cleaner - we used about 6 Oz of cleaning solution to 1 tank of water.

Effective and easy to use

This is an essential tool for cleaning up marks and stains on small areas, and is a must-have for pet owners. It's tricky to use on stairs if stains are in corners, but good if you are cleaning the tread area. The danger is that the cleaned area, or “spot”, may appear TOO clean against the rest of your well-trodden carpet areas. Highly recommended.
