Good valued in a shoulder plane
This plane more than met my expectations. Checking with a straightedge and square revealed a flat bed and squarely machined cheeks. The mouth was also machined squarely and accurately. The iron was accurately beveled. It was a simple task to polish the back of the iron and hone the bevel to a sharp edge, something I would expect to do with any plane before using it. The iron depth adjustment worked smoothly and allowed fine adjustment without excessive slack. In use the plane took remarkably fine, smooth shavings and can also be adjusted for slightly more aggressive cuts. The sharp iron easily cleaned up tenons and rebates and shaved off end-grain shoulders with no difficulty. The plane does well what it is designed to do. Chrome plating and overall finish is adequate but not equal to that on the expensive premium planes. Hidden areas of the castings are rough. The modern premium planes might have a better feel in the hand but this traditionally shaped shoulder plane is comfortable to use for the fast, light cleaning up work it is intended to do. This plane is a reasonably priced working alternative to the extremely expensive trophy planes that flood the market.

Not evil as described in many reviews
I received this item and thought I had been sent the wrong plan. It is sold under 2 names, Shop Fox and Woodstock. A similar Shop Fox plane gets horrible reviews. The plane I received is no beauty queen. However, it is straight and square and after a very brief sharpening of the blade, it works very well. I have only tried it as a shoulder plane. I have not tried the bull-nose or chisel modes. If you want a beautiful plan to fondle while you show it off to your friends and drink fine Port, buy another one. If you want an affordable shoulder plane that will do the job, this one will probably work for you.

Chisel configuration
The good: very well made, I'm bummed out it didn't work for me. When its screwed together you can't even see a seem unless you know where to look. If I didn't have a bull nose plane and a shoulder plane I would keep it. I bought it for the chisel feature. The bad: the hex head screw is painted and it took quite a bit of force to break it free. Same with initially separation, needed to give it a tap. The third feature doesn't work. 1. Shoulder plane 2. Bull nose plane 3. Chisel plane The chisel configuration: The nose of the chisel protrudes about of a quarter inch PAST the chisel. So you need to advance the chisel way too far to get it to line up with the nose. The cut wood be crazy aggressive. This is an issue if you are using it to get into corners and index it against the side, bottom and nose to smooth everything out. You won't reach the corner on a smoothing pass. See pics. Two stars because it only does two of the three things it was made to do.

A quality plane
When you need a shoulder plane nothing else will do the job. The big trick is getting a quality hand tool that not only works well but "feels" good in your hand. Tools like that are hard to come by these days. The local small lumber yards and hardware stores can't afford to stock them and the big box stores wouldn't know a good tool from a donkey. Buying any hand tool on line can be iffy and Woodstock really came through here. Got a good product at a reasonable price, and fast too. I have seen better machine work on hand tools but at today's prices this one cannot be beat! Just the right weight and hand feel for planing oak table ends to match their breadboards. As expected, right out of the box, the edge of the blade looked sharp but had a way to go to be really right. Happily, it's really good steel and only needed honing on my water stones for a few minutes on each, from 1,000 grit to 4,000, to 8,000. That got me a mirror smooth surface that peeled off see-through layers of oak on each of my table ends. Each pass took a nice, neat, uniform peel thinner than an onion skin until I had this job done just right. Great little plane, well worth the money. God folks to do business with!

Nice plane, but..
She Fox plane came in packaged well, covered in packaging oil of some sort that I had to clean off. I used Boeshield T-9 to protect body (it works on all my other steel - squares, etc.). I am new to woodworking (1.5 years) and this is the first "expensive" plane I purchased. I read other reviews of it coming in machined subpar but figured I would give it a shot. As you see in my pictures the machining is subpar, with a large nick in the body. It does not effect the performance as far as I am concerned and it shaves soft and hardwood very nicely right out of the box. The steel is sharp. The steel doesn't sit completely flush in the shoe (?), seems like a machining issue, but still it works nicely for me. It is very heavy and after cleaned looks pretty good, it feels very nice in the hand. It wasn't worth it for me to send it back although I showed my wife and she told me I should, especially when she knew I paid $75. Anyway, thought I would share the info, and confirm at least some are shipped with subpar machining. I know there are woodworkers out there that would not find the plane I received acceptable.

I have to write a headline or amazon won't let me submit a review
I count this among the nicest planes that I own. I took a chance on this and was not let down. It's heavy and well-machined enough for the work I do. I wish I had purchased a 3/4" wide for 3/4", but this works for many tasks since it's so large. I've used all three functions on a cabinet I made and it worked without flaw at all. I would purchase this again if something terrible befell this little plane.

Missing aligning pins on bullnose
The plane appears to be well made and is a reasonable price. However, the bullnose part is missing the aligning pins and does not align with the main body.

Great buy for the money.
Bought it. Like it a lot, especially for the money. No, it's not a $250 Veritas and appears to be a SOBA made in India and marketed by a few folks including Shop Fox and Woodstock. I followed a youtube video "SOBA (India) 3-in-1 shoulder plane tune-up and review" to tune it up out of the box and it is truly a very nice hand tool that shaves continuous thin ribbons.Gave it 4 stars only because of the work needed to tune it up.

"Muy buena opción"
A veces pensamos que una herramienta con un costo menor significa una baja en la calidad y la eficiencia, en esta ocasión no es así, este cepillo está tiene un desempeño y acabado muy bueno, su costo, que no es muy alto ofrece sin embargo un producto de muy buena calidad, en lo particular lo recomiendo.

With some work it can work
The plane sole was not flat and needed to be flattened. This took me a good 4 hours to do with sand paper and a good flat plate. The nose for the bullnose was a good 1mm higher than the base before I even flattened the sole after that it was even worst. This took also quite a while to fix... The blade was not too bad and took me only half an hour with my diamond plates to fix up. To sum it up, if you are willing and able to work on it, this is actually usable. If you are not able to do what I did, it is not worth buying.

Excelente cepillo de hombros
puedes usarlo como cepillo de hombro, como cepillo formón o cepillo narizòn cambiando la parte frontal, se siente solido y en mi caso llego con los costados a 90 grados respecto a la suela

Seems alright
I have not had a good opportunity to give it a good spin yet, but it seems to be very well put together and very solid. I will be giving the iron a tune-up this weekend and put it to the test
