Pulp free strainer

There really needs to be 2 strainers with this unit. Everyone doesn’t want pulp in their juice like myself. I have to actually use 2 strainers or cheese cloth to get no pulp. You could even add ten dollars more to this product to add a pulp free strainer.

Finally found the right one!

After many years using other juicer models from Black and decker and others of the like, I decided to purchase this unit based on the myriad of positive reviews. Let’s not make this review more complicated than it needs to be: the unit is sturdy, well designed and easy to clean. The motor has plenty of torque to juice as many oranges or grapefruits as needed. The back of the unit is raised to avoid squirting of juices. This is the one!

I've already made a few liters of juice and I have no regrets with this purchase. SOMETHING TO NOTE Per the instructions, use the motor for about 15 seconds at a time then give it a 15 second break. After 5 minutes it asks for a 5 minute break. Here's what this means practically speaking. Wash about 9 oranges. Cut and juice 3 with a short pause between each orange. Rest the machine as you cut the next three and so on. Wash more oranges as the machine rests. With that workflow you won't overheat or damage the motor. CLEANING Cleaning is an absolute breeze. Tilt the no-drip spout back up. Walk the entire top of the juicer to the sink and rinse. I've juiced dozens of oranges without a single drip on the counter. The shielding around the reamer prevents splashes and sprays. PULP The juice contains minimal pulp compared to other juicers I've used. A single pass through a screen will easily remove it. This is a fantastic citrus juicer. I highly recommend it.

AMONG THE FEW BETTER ONES OUT THERE

I make ALOT of Lemonade and Grapefruit juice. I needed something that handled large grapefruit but found NOTHING. Did I say the Citristar is the BEST one out there ? No . Because there - IS - no best one out there !!! My gosh I should be a professional reviewer after researching this Juicer ! I researched almost EVERY juicer available on all websites. And read ALL the customer reviews. You know it's amazing how much people LOVE and have affection for their daily appliances ! I am going to compare this juicer to the Black and Decker CJ630 which I have had for over 8 years and still has not broken down or needed a part. But I believe the gears are beginning to slip and I didn't want to wait till it broke down. The only reason I didn't go right out and get the exact same Model all over again was . . . . . That I just wanted to try something new and Exciting this time ! ! But I found out that there is NOTHING new and exciting out there, just a whole lot of Mediocre Customer Reviews ! I don't know WHO is designing these things today but for crying out loud - I - could be doing a better job ! I guess it comes down to which one is the Most Trouble Free ! So that said : The Tribest Citistar is one of the most popular juicers out there. But it is NOT the most popular. Trouble is THEY ALL have serious flaws. I really had GREAT difficulty deciding which one to buy because none of them where as trouble free as the B & D. And after checking into Hand Lever Press Juicers as well I found that they cannot handle a large orange nevermind a large grapefruit. One customer stated that he had to cut each grapefruit into 4 peices to get it to fit under the pressing dome. Or I would have definitely bought a Press Juicer. But the Citristar works fine, but after I made my OWN modifications. (To do greapefruits you can rheem them from one side to the other while pressing). (NO CONE on ANY juicer is big enough for GRAPEFRUIT !) I noticed right out of the box that the juice flow scoop was going to be a problem. After reading reviews about the port blocking up from pulp getting through I could see why. The small rubber hole stopper on the bowl is way too close to the hole. This would also prevent easy cleaning and risk breakage. The ENTIRE flow scoop, really THE ONLY MAJOR MOVABLE PART is very poorly designed and very prone to quick breakage. This scoop is meant to be lifted up to temp. stop flow. And popped down to let flow into a container. The assembly is built so scantilly THIN (as thin as 1/16 of an inch of plastic in several areas). That's right ! A 1/16 of an inch ! And this is meant to pry up and down on every usage. Trouble is that PLASTIC gets very BRITTLE over the years ! So I just decided I wouldn't use it to go up and down and I cut the rubber stopper's ball off to allow better flow and cleaning and I'll just always let the juice flow into my container. But the scoop assembly could still break at any time while cleaning or if you even bumped it or set it down on the counter ! Otherwise: Motor is Stronger and Quieter than the B&D. It does NOT reverse which is not as good. The tines on the cone are less sharp. The CS does not have a built in Pitcher like the B&D. Spillage is always going to be a small problem. CLEANING is the best Improvement. Parts clean up NICELY ! And I like that the juicer has a WIDER RIMMED BOWL which prevents overspill of pulp. But I will probably be buying used spare parts from you know what "other" website. But you CAN buy SOME parts from Amazon.

Reliable

I have had this juicer for 2 years now and would purchase again. I can juice about 10 oranges before needing to stop and clear the path where the juice is separated from the pulp. No juicer is perfect, but this one is close. There are very few parts so it is easy to clean (everything is dishwasher safe) and reassemble. It will juice every part of the fruit and leave no waste. It will even capture the pulp if you want to use that (just need to remove the seeds). It is stout so it fits under your cabinet. Highly recommend.

Glad I bought this one

I read many reviews on various citrus juicers and ended up choosing this one. It was very easy to assemble, easy to clean up and store. We use to make orange juice and grapefruit juice each morning, so yummy. A little bit of pulp gets in ,the rest is filtered in the stainless steel strainer. You can always add the pulp if you want. High powered but not too loud (quieter than my Nutribullit) The larger reamer doesn't quite grind all the pulp out of the grapefruit unless you work at it a little longer. I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent citrus juicer - 1-2 dozen citrus per week

As the headline suggests, I use a lot of citrus juice, mostly lemon and lime. I had a Braun for about 25 years, passed down from my Dad, who may have had it 10+ years before that. A part broke, and could not be replaced. I loved it. It was compact and did a decent job of juicing citrus fruit. I read a lot of reviews on various replacement products, and settled on this one. I've had it for more than a year and couldn't be happier. You can juice citrus as small as limes and as large as a big grapefruit. When you're finished juicing, there is nothing left in the citrus.. It clearly does a better job than my old Braun. Very impressive! This is a great juicer. I hope I get many more years out of it.

not so good. this one is another story

really powerful. really quick to wash. very solid. worth the price. I had before the James Martin lasted 2 years and with plastic parts.. not so good. this one is another story. very recommend
