Straight forward installation — we’ll see if it does the job

I purchased this door sweep to mount on the outer side of our outdoor storage closet. The inside of the door already had a door sweep mounted, and it still allowed water through during heavy rainstorms. Modifying the 36” door sweep down to 31” to fit my door was fairly easy, though that meant there were only 3 mounting holes instead of 4. I had to drill a fourth mounting hole to make sure it was secure. We’ll see after the next heavy rainstorm how well it works.

Best draft stopper ever

I needed a draft stopper for a French door, a stopper that would seal tight against the threshold but clear the rug at the door. I trimmed off the too flexible bottom 1/4 inch of the rubber and the thicker rubber above that sealed perfectly, held in place with the stiff aluminum strip and four enclosed screws.

Durable and Easy to Install

Was perfect for the job. The front door had a pretty big gap (1/2 ") between the bottom of the door and the threshold. Little critters like insects, frogs and snakes were coming into the house. EEK!!! The rubber sweep is sturdy enough to act as a barrier against unwanted guests as well as improving energy efficiency from lost A/C. The metal guide was easy to cut to size with a hack saw. Mounting to the door was quick and easy too with the preset holes and metal screws. All I had to do was drill a hole at each preset then mount the guide with the provided screws. Done in 15 minutes or less!!

made of excellent materials - can be sawed to fit. can be drilled if additional holes are neeeded.

good product - has an industrial feel - looks like it should last a very long time made with excellent materials - aluminum is solid and rubber/vinyl piece is fairly thick. can be cut with hacksaw for installation - and can be drilled if more holes are needed for a even more secure installation. i took off one star because when i received the aluminum was bent out of shape somewhat.

Durable and high quality

I needed a door sweep for my storage room, this fit the bill in exactly what I needed. It is easy to install, comes with instructions, as you can see from the photos, there is almost an 1 inch gap between the door and the concrete, this covered it perfectly, it took less than 5 minutes to install. I would highly recommend this door sweep, with the fall and winter months coming, I did not want any unexpected visitors. This is exactly what I needed. Also easy to cut, it has 4 holes and 36 inches.

Got The Job Done!

Worked out perfect, and easy to cut with tin snips. I like that you can place it as low or high as you want, because there is no bottom edge stopping it. Took seconds to install.

Make sure the screws in the package are actually screws.

To stop water from coming into the porch through the bottom of the door via the floor sweep. The hinges on the aluminum door had worn and allowed the original floor sweep to rip and tear away. I couldn’t find a new original under door floor sweep so this one attaches to outside the door and rubs against the original aluminum threshold keeping water from running down the door and inside the porch. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was that two of the four included screws did not have threads so I had to chase down two 1/8” x 1 inch round heads (which I didn’t have) in order to finish the job. Even that wouldn’t have been so bad but all this was done during a driving rain/wet snow storm while my daughter was sopping up water coming in under the door!!!

Worked great, was easy to size down. I added an extra screw to each end because there’s no stock ones within like 5” of each end and I just pictured it snagging and bending. Proactive haha great product though
