Solved an unsafe RV step issue

Nothing to complain about - works as expected. I debated between this and the cheaper smaller one (that Camco actually markets as a step brace), but after measuring saw my initial height on my bottom step was already at 12 inches and took the chance I'd only need one of these rather than two of the smaller ones. I think it might work well in the middle of the step, but I actually put mine to the left where we tend to place our feet anyway, using the handle on the left, and that being the way the door opens. It's solved the issue of a sagging and tilting lower step and stabilizes the whole process of going in and out of the camper. Fits well under the step. Feels much safer and should is small enough to easily store. Note the whole top unit rotates and there's no way to lock in position - I don't expect this to be an issue as a step has a lip, so it stays in place going in and out, but because of that I took a star off - just feels a little 'unfinished'. Like maybe the threading should be a little tighter.

Perfectly does what it's supposed to.

These work great, especially for the price. I found the best way to use them is first use a bottle jack to lift the vehicle frame a few inches on one side at a time, put the Stabilizer next to the jack and adjust it as high as it will go. Then remove the jack, repeat on the other side, and then you get a nice steady RV! You CAN just place them under the frame without jacking it up a few inches first, BUT they are not nearly as effective and you'll still get some sway. Jacking it up takes the weight off of the shocks/struts/leafs a little, allowing a much more rock solid feel. I was actually surprised how many people in the reviews do not understand how to use these...

Genius fix for 100% stability

Arrived on time. As advertised. Both base plates made of high grade steel. Holds without bending when steeping off center if just one placed under middle of steep. Threads excellent cut for holding in position without slipping with extended use. Eliminates unsightly use of wood blocks. Installs in less than 2 minutes. Wish I had found long time ago.

RV STEP STABILIZER

Didn't go high enough to use without using wood blocks! Worked great once I cut wood blocks to use under on the ground and used another block between this and the step. By doing it that way you can turn the stabilizer to secure it under the step properly. Without a wood block you cannot turn the stabilizer.

Works great

I used it not on an RV, but with the 5k rating I added some foam to it and used it to help stabilize a boat that I lifted off of a trailer. Good sturdy quality!

This is for your rv steps.

I read a couple of reviews whereas people rated them low because they were using it as an rv jack.... that is not what this is for although it is rated for 5000 lbs. I will be buying a nut to screw onto the adjustment shaft so as to lock the setting. Quality nice piece.

Works exactly as you would expect, great support. Just a tip ... it's a fine thread, so you do need to turn it quite a bit to go up or down and on our class A there's a good 1 inch lip under the stairs so you have to do a lot of turning to get it low enough to remove it. It's easier to simply use you levelers to raise the coach up an inch and kick it out and pick it up. Putting it in place you have no choice but to get down on the ground and turn it to raise it ... regardless it's a good product and does the job!
