Very easy to plug in both ends and unplug both ends. I wasn't expecting it to be very good quality but it is indeed great quality! Would order again if I need to.

Well Built

It is a a substantial piece of hardware. Sadly I’ll be returning it. No where in the Amazon description say it is supposed to be solely used for RVs. There is a warning label on the cord that says RV use only. I bought it to extend for an EV charger and I think it would be perfectly safe but I’m not putting the liability on my self given the warning label. Subtracted one star for not having an accurate description before I bought it.

Caused Tesla red light

Caused mobile connector to throw an error. Otherwise seems solidly constructed. UPDATE: got a replacement and the replacement is not causing the mobile connector error. Working great.

Great product, BUT I didn't use them as intended

Great product, BUT I didn't use them as intended: I am the camp host and constantly dealing and helping people with their RV's in the realm of electrical work. I needed to know how much amperage people were drawing in some cases. So I bought this short 30amp extension (also did the same for 50amp) and then took about 6" of outer protector insulation right in the center of the cord which exposed the main wires (not cutting into those for obvious safety factor!) that I could place an ohm-meter around to detect the amperage draw. True, there is a device that does that at the normal 110 plug, but I wanted to know or the whole 30amp coach power supply. It worked great for my application and was cheaper than buying the set of plugs and length of wire!

Well made, quality product ... that I cut in half for RV use.

I purchased a Camco 50 amp 'dogbone' (55215), a Camco male plug (55255) & female receptacle (55353) so I could splice a 'hardwired' surge protector (Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C) into my RVs 'landline'. I cut the dogbone in 1/2 and 'hardwired' it to the surge protector. I cut the RVs landline (inside the basement compartment) and added the plug/receptical to it where I cut it. By doing so I was thus able to get a great 50 amp surge protector (with line current readings & remote display, etc) and have it: a) safely contained within my RVs basement compartment, yet, b) easily removeable/portable should I get a different RV, want to use it with a standalone generator, etc. All 3 Camco products are well made and look like they will serve my purposes very well. The Progressive EMS-HW50C appears to be a well made, quality product also. Note: Be aware, if you intend to cut the dogbone in half like I did you end up with only about 4 inches of wire you can work with.

Much easier to handle than just the standard plug.

The way the 50 amp outlet is positioned once I get my motorhome situated requires me to crawl under the side and wiggle the connector into its socket. I also have to wiggle it out which creates the possibility of a shock. This cable makes it so much easier to deal with the connection.

The correct plug and receptacle for 50 amps. 18 inch overall length.

I used it to allow closure of both doors of my emergency generator storage box while it runs. The short 18” extension remains plugged into the generator output, with the female side through the plastic door. An external cable then plugs in and takes the power 50 feet to the house receptical. I put a suitable plastic electrical junction box with snap closures on the outside of the door, and cut the door to feed it to the box outside. Stays secure and dry until needed, then the cover is opened as needed. Already used it in a really high rain and wind storm for a whole day. Very happy.

It will have to be modified so another 30 AMP cord can be plugged in above it. In most campgrounds the outlets are mounted vertically and it is almost impossible to have two cords plugged in at once. The top one won't fit in correctly so by modifying this item and using it in the bottom outlet both cords will have good contact.

Exactly what I needed

Intend to use this cord for my rv electric cord when connecting to the generator it is hard to plug the Rv electric cord to it now with this small extension will make my life a lot easier. This is well made.
