Need One

I use this cord for a light way up near the ceiling on a ledge. Place switch at edge so I can reach on tip toe to turn on. It's just the trick. Have several and workd great.

Works great, very long cord

This is an excellent way to add a remote switch. We have a TiVo under the dresser in the bedroom, and sometimes it hangs and needs to be rebooted by cutting power and turning it back on. Before we had this, we had to crawl under the dresser to get at the power cord. Now, this works great. The cord is very long, which for us is an inconvenience. Unfortunately we could not find this switch, which is perfect, with a shorter cord.

Remote appliance control switch

I've recently replaced all the incandescent bulbs in my house with fluorescent ones. My previous remote controls at all my night stands were dimming (thyristor) types which did not properly dim the fluorescent lights (unless I bought more expensive dimming fluorescent lights!). I was looking for the switch type only at many department stores (available before) and -for some unexplained reason- they have been discontinued and a few sales people did not even know what I was talking about!!!!. I have found the 125 V AC, 15 Amps switch type which does the job properly (a simple ON-OFF operation). The price on this particular site was very acceptable and the delivery was as listed. I am glad I have found the item I was looking for and I do recommend it to everybody.

we need more cords like this

I live in a space where sometimes outlets can be absent in places where it would be really handy. This kind of remote control extension cord is just the thing that can fix that. Too often switches require you to be controlling near the power source. This lets you control it from anywhere virtually within a small space. I do wish that the part of the cord that has the prongs and input were more flat but I use this everyday. I wish they would come up with more cords like this of more lengths, duty loads, and colors.

MY wife needed a switch she could reach while laying in bed after surgery to turn on/off a table lamp....this was perfect and I like how easy the switch is to use ...good quality
