I love cast iron. This pan did not disappoint
This is a nice cast iron pan. I love the size. I already have a bigger one and a smaller one. I would consider this between medium and large. I love the second handle, it makes it easier to handle the heavy pan when it's filled.

Works well
I can't think of many features of a fire/smoke box to analyze. It's smaller than my old one, but is large enough. It's all metal so it's safe and durable. The holes are big enough. The lid fits fine so it works for me.

Cooks well on grill or stovetop, easy to clean
This review is for the Cast Iron Skillet. It didn't come with any instructions, so I assumed it needed to be washed and seasoned before using it. I use this skillet on my gas stovetop and on the grill. I am pleased with the way it cooks. Food cooks evenly, nothing sticks, and it cleans up easily. It has a pour spout on both sides. I would have preferred a slightly longer handle, but it has a grip on the opposite side, which makes it easy to carry.

Great pan!
Hoan 5275954 Barbeque Cast Iron Skillet, Black I've needed to add a cast iron skillet to my kitchen for ages and this one has worked out well for me. Like the helper handle and the dual pour spouts. Great for searing! You will need to season the pan yourself. Lifetime Brands may not be a familiar name to some, but they own and/or license the following brands: Hoan, Kitchen Aid, Chef'n, Cuisinart, Kamenstein, Farberware, Pfaltzgraff, Mikasa, Fred and Friends, Built NY, Cusine de France and Lifetime Sterling, among others. The quality is very good.

Not good quality control
I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but I have to report that this skillet suffers from poor quality control. The pan surface is heavily mottled, about a third of it being very smooth, but the other two thirds quite pebbly. Obviously a manufacturing defect. I'm not sure which of the two surface types works better for a good release, but the reality is that this looks like a factory second, they should have melted the iron down and tried again. It may only be the occasional unit in this batch that has this problem, but still. Other than that, the skillet is actually pretty light for 12" , but for the irregular cooking surface I would have rated it higher. Important other note is that this pan comes completely unseasoned, before you use it you will have to coat it a thin layer of oil and bake it in a 450 degree oven for an hour (consult the internet about seasoning cast-iron pans). I am going to try to resurface the bottom of this pan with a rotary wire brush, maybe it can be salvaged - but for most people this isn't practical.

Wonderfully Easy Way To Infuse More Smoke
This simple and well made box is for the encouragement of moistened wood chips to burn at a rate so as to make smoke. Fill it with you favorite chips that you have wetted appropriately and you will get some initial steam which quickly turns to smoke as the chips burn A few tweaks to the airflow insure the optimum smoke level. The size is enough as to not require constant refills. It works with almost any grill you can smoke on so what's not to love? For what it is, it is wonderful.

exactly what i needed for my grill
Review of: Hoan 5275949 Barbeque Smoker Box, Stainless Steel Overall, I’m pleased with the Hoan BBQ Smoker Box. First, at least for the charcoal grill that I have, the size is just right. At 8 ½ in length, 1 ½ inches in depth and about 3 ½ inches in width, the box fits (though it is a close fit) on the charcoal tray so I can get the box right on top of the coals. I also like the strength of the construction; to my eye there is nothing flimsy or thin about this smoker box so I have good confidence that I will get a number of seasons of use from the box. I also think that the amount of wood that the box can hold is more than enough for my uses on the grill; and this is even considering that I try not to ‘pack’ in the wood but rather place it in with enough room for air circulation. Finally, I like the size of the holes on the top of the box (to allow smoke to escape). The 8 holes are each a little over ¼ inch in diameter and I’ve found that to be a good size for a smoker box. In a small way I do wish that the box had a piano hinge of some sort on the top lid instead of just pushing the top and bottom pieces together, but that is just a minor item for me.

Cost effective, just needs to be seasoned a bit
A cast iron pan is a cast iron pan. The only difference when buying them is if they're seasoned, which this isn't. If you're lacking in money and want a solid pan that will outlast your great-great-grandkids, then this is the pan for you. If you've never had an unseasoned cast iron pan before, I would definitely season it a few times before using. Just lightly oil it with almost anything, get rid of all the access, and throw it upside down in your oven at max temp for about an hour. Once you have the seasoned on this thing formed you won't need to do it again as long as you're cooking fatty foods every once in a while! Overall I'm definitely glad I got this, and I would definitely recommend this cast iron pan over pretty much any other $40 pan as long as you're going to use it more than once a week.
