The picture doesn't do this kit justice. The different amounts of floss used makes it very realistic and beautiful.

I just bought this kit to make a second time. It is beautiful and looks more like a painting or picture than a stitchery once it is done. I made this for my Mom who is a huge fan of cardinals and she loved it. She likes to change her home decor to suit each season but this kit stays up year round. My young adult son loved it so much that he has been bugging me to make one for him. I have no idea where he'll put it since his decor is SF Giants and Raiders but that will be his concern. Instructions and chart are clear and easy to follow but I wouldn't recommend for a beginner. A lot of subtle shading that makes the finished product beautiful but can be complicated to follow without some experience. I highly recommend this kit.

This is a wonderful picture and I'm looking forward to finishing it some time this year. :-) It is not a project for those with little patience. I have been working on this for over a month and only have 1/8 finished. There is a lot of different colors intermixed in the patterned and sometime I would get lost. I do look forward to when it will be done as what I have done looks good. All the colors and instructions are included and clearly marked and stated.

No way!!

This kit really is junk. The thread is so flimsy that if you make a mistake and need to lift your stitches, the stuff frays and breaks. I'm done with this one. Never again!

I love the picture and the many different colors. It not for beginners. It is an intermediate level.

Cardinals are beautiful

This kit is beautiful. The floss was presented in a way that I had never seen before. I had to transfer it to bobbins that I was able to work with. The floss splits easily especially when I have to remove it to go back to where I made an error. Despite this issue I would actually buy it again.

Beautiful kit but not for beginners

The end result of this piece is beautiful but it does take time, is a quite large, and I would not recommend it for beginners. There are reviews about the fabric being stiff, that is true for all Aida fabrics and it will losen up over time. I had it professionally framed under glass and it will be a legacy piece for a lifetime of enjoyment.

I love Dimensions needlecrafts. The instructions are very clear and the thread is already divided onto cards. I have purchased a number of Dimensions and am never disappointed. The design is beautiful.
