It's okay but...

It's okay for the price. It's spacious enough. But if you have rodents who like to chew, it's not very ideal. The shelf is very versatile in the ability that you can put it anywhere, though. However, it doesn't always snap in place. While the set up is simple, the cage is not very stable in staying in place or even snapping in place where the lid is. I believe we just a very faulty one. This unsafe feature of everything not snapping in place, unfortunately, caused an accidental death in one of my critters. I have used this product before and I didn't have issues with my first purchase. But the second one, obviously, did not go very well and I should have replaced it immediately. I gave a 4 because it is reliable but it's not exactly perfect. It's almost there. Highly recommended for critters that don't have a knack for chewing fabric. Also bedding gets stuck between the bars! It's a Hassel but at least it keeps it from spilling out. Just get a little handheld broom when cleaning.

Decent Cage

The instructions weren’t the greatest but pretty self explanatory, you should get the gist of how to assemble it. I did notice some of the video product reviews looked different then how my cage looks. I didn’t have extra loose or hanging medal parts that slide and hook or any issues with the base/velcro. However, it is easier assembling with TWO people and it takes a bit of effort snapping some parts together. I used some pliers and some physical pressure. Please note, position your cage where it needs to be before your pets are moved in, this needs to be stationary as the base is not firm. In addition, the top of the cage doesn’t really align and sit well and doesn’t easily snap on and off when removing or closing. While the cover provides more stability you won’t necessarily need it to hold the cage together. Not using the cover shouldn’t pose a problem unless needed to safely enclose your pets.

4 Stars After Some Modifications

The media could not be loaded. i first bought this cage in a rush after suddenly obtaining 2 baby piggies. i was aware at the time that the cage is slightly on the small side, but was not too concerned about it since my boys were still tiny pups. i mainly chose this cage since it has a lid & i wasnt sure how my cats would react to the pigs. during the year ive had it, ive managed to make several changes to make it work very well. please note that without the modifications ive made, i would be giving this product just 2 or 3 stars since it is too small for adult pigs, unstable, & difficult to clean. my first step was to place the cage on a desk. this gave it a flat surface to sit on & brought the cage up to my level. it made it much easier to clean, but the best way to keep it clean is to just use good fleece liners which dont leak. second change was made w a bunch of tiny zipties. the zipties kept the cage from wobbling & collapsing at every chance it got. i even used the zipties to hold the lid in one piece & create hinges to connect the lid to the cage. my changes to the lid made it so that i could lift it up all at once & rest it on the wall without having to take the lid completely off every time i clean. to be honest, i could have stopped w the zipties, but since the cage would sometimes slide around on top of the desk, i made 1 more adjustment w 6" bungee cords which i used to strap the cage corners to the desk legs. this made the cage as sturdy as the desk, which was perfect for me. since making these changes, it has lasted very well over the year. & despite all of the added pieces, it all looks really good. however, now that my boys are fully grown, the cage size is no longer appropriate. the piggles dont have much room for their zoomies, so i have to be smart about how i maximize the space. it's time to make a bigger change :/ anyway, i added a video to really show these changes & how theyve affected my experience w this cage. please excuse my plethora of "um"s, my crappy camera work, & ignore my annoying hand gestures & ADHD moments. i hope the vid is helpful either way.

Nice cage for a decent price

I bought this as a temporary cage to house my baby quail. Its much larger than I expected..Its very roomy and it was easy to assemble. The only downside is the cloth bottom, so moving the cage without taking it apart isnt a option. But I definately plan on buying more. It is a very nice cage and a very reasonable price.

Affordable Starter Cage

My son rescued a young guinea pig from a large park and we were going to locate a rescue to take her to but we all fell in love with her. The temporary dog crate we had was too small for her and I opted to try this cage instead of the more expensive ones. Pros, great price point, similar size to recommended ones for 1 guinea pig, and comes with waterproof cage liner. Cons, no bottom under liner and cage is NOT sturdy. I have a cat and small dog and need to keep the top part on and it's been very challenging getting it off and on or to fit exactly. I read that some users used the top as the bottom but I can't do that. This cage was a blessing budget wise and minus the small nuisances, our single rescue guinea loves the space and frequently does zoomies and popcorns with every cleaning. I have ample room to change her layout all of the time and she loves it. This was a huge blessing. Would recommend for a starter if on a tight budget.

It’s a hit!

This cage is the EASIEST to put together….in fact, it already comes put together! It folds easily so transportation is never an issue. It’s extremely sturdy and durable for those tough little pets who love to scratch or bite at the bars. I personally do not use the top, as I find it more spacious for the smaller pets (guinea pigs, for example) but would not recommend doing so for animals able to hop. There are two side doors, which i absolutely adore and use on a daily basis! The canvas bottom is not attached, and perfectly proportioned to the cage’s size. I underestimated how big this cage would be, honestly. The only drawback is it’s difficult to get a good height with a water bottle. I have a small guinea pig and he has to jump a little to get water. Would not recommend for anything unable to jump or bend its neck. Nothing smaller than a guinea pig, too. Overall, a great find!

Canvas bottom. Wait, what???

Where to begin, first the canvas bottom, I have never hear of something so stupid. I had 4 rats in that cage and 1 week and a half, they had already nibbled on the straps that secured the bottom. The design of it shows they spared every expense. From the bars being wider apart to the metal sturdiness and assembling that is harder then it should. I usually don't write reviews, but I making an exception. (Plus I'm salty I missed my return period b/c of covid) I highly do not recommend this cage for anything that gnaws (rodents)

Dissatisfied

The size and layout of the cage is perfect. It's too bad the bottom canvas is HORRIBLE. It's super easy to wipe BUT the sides barely wrap around the cage sooooo our guinea pigs kick poop and shavings everywhere. I'm not really sure what to do. We may need to get another cage with higher sides.

Très mauvais produit

Pour le prix je suis très décue. Le fond nest qu'une toile en faut cuir molle qui tient quavec des tige de métal quon glisse dans les sangles de la toile a travers la cage. Il y a toujours des scelles, du foin et de la rip qui se ramasse à l'extérieur de la cage quand on lève la cage la toile molle s'approfondi et fait comme une poche en dessous. Et le couvercle ne se tient pas bien et le contour de la cage très peu solide.

Genial!! Es una buena compra para un animal pequeño :3

La compré para mi conejita y me sorprendió bastante, es más grande de lo que pensaba, es fácil de armar (en sí sólo se le pone la lona, el techo y el divisor, las paredes están unidas y sólo se tienen que acomodar) Se le puede poner o no el divisor, lo cual la hace más cómoda :), tiene dos puertitas en los lados y se puede abrir de arriba. A mi conejita le gustó bastante ❤️????

Tortoise cage

Makes a cheap great Tortoise cage. Was kinda a pain to assemble but not to bad. We will see how long it lasts. I would definitely buy this again.
