Perfect for My 3 Year Old Male Hedgehog- love it
I have a large male hedgehog. Before this cage, he was in a larger plastic bin that I had converted into a cage. The bin was big enough for him and he was happy. He ended up getting very sick to the point where I thought I was going to lose him. Aside from slowly nursing him back to health, I thought it might help his recovery or if anything help to alleviate some of the discomfort he was experiencing and give him a comfortable place with extra space in case it was his time to move on. Some of the reviews mentioned difficulties assembling the cage. I actually just had to disassemble it and re-assemble it last week and it seems straightforward. Figure out the square shape of the cage while on top of the bottom material which I spread out into a square shape. Hook the cage together (you’ll see where to hook it together). Then once you have it in a square on top of the bottom material in the same shape, just start hitching up the velcro by wrapping the pieces sewn on to the bottom material through the spaces in the cage and securely fastened and anchored on to the bars lower down on the cage that run horizontally across. That’s it. I utilized the extra space to attach an extra no-drip water bottle to the side of the cage for him. There was one time when the water spilled out completely from the normal bottle we use. Only an hour or so had passed before we noticed it, but my hedgehog needed to get well and remain healthy so I wanted to make sure there was always a full water bottle for him that didn’t drip. Shortly before I purchased this cage I honestly didn’t think he’d make it to Thanksgiving and I was quite sad about it. Well, somehow he made it to Thanksgiving. His little hedgehog birthday is on Christmas Eve and so I bought the cage as sort of an early birthday/Christmas present for him. Hoping to boost morale even more. It is almost Valentine’s Day and I can’t describe how it feels to hear him crunching away on his solid food again in his big, open, clean, cage. I thought he would never run on his wheel again, but sure enough I can sometimes hear him at 3 AM in his big spacious cage scurrying about from his hide, to his food dish, to the water bottle, then to HIS WHEEL! *pitter **patter***pitter **patter* I have no doubt that this cage made him happier and therefore helped him recover faster. I was a bit worried he might be able to chew or scratch through the floor, but he cant. He gets aggressive with his play biting sometimes and he cant get through the bottom material at all. Not even close. I can’t say anything for other four-legged creatures, but my hedgehog can go into tank make and really thoroughly trash his cage. Especially after I clean it. But when the dust settles all he managed to wreck were some of his paper towels. It passes that chew/scratch proof test for my hedgehog. If you are thinking your animal could use more room, I really do encourage you to get it for them. They’re going to be in it all day so why not offer them the extra space this cage provides? I also would encourage you to get a backup drip proof water bottle. You don’t have to refill it as often and it really can make a difference between life and death if something happens to their main bottle. I really like the peace of mind of knowing he has a full bottle no matter what. And honestly, this cage is a breeze to clean. You can dissemble it, then carefully drag the bottom material in a fairly sturdy fold/taco shape outside and then shake out the loose bits of food and other presents the hedgehog may have left for you. Shake those out too. Away form the house preferably. A little bit farther. You’re good. When it is clean and sometimes hosed down depending on the caliber of presents that had been left for me, I will then lay down some larger puppy training pads to line the entire bottom of the cage. With some extras under HIS WHEEL ???? Then I cover it with some fleece. Doesn’t have to be perfect. Just some extra fleece blankets with hedgehogs printed on them. More room more blankets. In all honesty, I am beyond grateful for being able to purchase this cage when I did and have it delivered quickly. Again, get an extra backup bottle, and if you’re pet rodent, insectivore, or whatever pet you have is a little bit okder... if your pet is advancing in age, I do encourage you to get this for them. You love them. They may or may not love you at times, but it is worth it and I doubt you’ll regret it when you see them happily running around in the extra space. They will appreciate you for it in some way or another.

Very spacious!
So a couple years back I bought this for my guinea pigs and I first I liked it very much but after using it a couple times it started getting ruined because the floor was getting staying in the matter what you do it still there the metal wire wire fence gets chewed on and you can see the white plastic cup off of the actual metal part is so that wasn’t really good but overall I liked it of the Divided tool parts, the device, a cage and a half to 4 square was very sturdy and stay put and I also liked the little steer well that device the two case it was very nice but overall I liked it but it was hard to bed and shit because I had to head to people to help me clean it out and carry it to a flat ground .

Best cage ever!
I have been using these cages for years with my guinea pigs. They allow adequate space for the animal to move around comfortably. I currently have two cages connected for my two boys and they absolutely love it. Also it is all washable and super easy to put together.

Corner keeps coming apart
I would say this cage is worth the money as it is cheaper than many other options of the same size. However, make sure you're very careful when moving the cage as the part where the two ends connect to form the cage come apart very easily. This happens with the slightest touch and would happen so frequently that I had to tie them together to help with this issue.

Accommodates 3 Guinea pigs.
If you want to connect cages, put them together with the doors opening into the cages. I prefer the Midwest cage over my c&c it’s a bit safer in my opinion if you have dogs, it’s not cheaper unfortunately but I like the design overall. I’d recommend it! My Guinea pigs don’t really chew the canvas but I have seen some pigs do it

Perfect for baby chicks
Bought for 8 baby chick and plenty of room. Added a few sticks for roosting. They outgrow fast but perfect for a starter pen.

Great space for small animals
This gave our guinea pigs plenty of room to run around, however it gets chewed up super easily. I like that you can remove the slip covers and clean them, but they stay pretty stained. The bedding also flies out everywhere since the sides aren't very tall. We like them though.

Good once you get it set up
Definitely flimsy until it is set up. Once set up, there are no issues. Provides a good deal of room for my two full grown guinea pigs. I do have another cage liner in mine in the pictures, just a heads up. I also ordered a used cage, it wasn’t necessarily used but I’m pretty sure it was a return and it’s basically brand new. Satisfied with this cage! Wouldn’t recommend for more than 2-3 Guinea pigs however.

Perfect for my guinea pigs!
I love this cage, and so do my guinea pigs the popcorn and run about in it a lot! It’s so spacious which is better than the ones at the pet shop. I recommend this cage to everyone who wants to give there piggy the space it deserves! Very good material and worth every penny!

Happy little piggies
I wanted something that wasn’t enclosed for bubble and squeak, after some research I found this. It’s easy to assemble (get a man to do it ????) I can now sit and watch my winny pigs pop corning and just doing what they do. Iv had this cage for almost two years now and it’s still fantastic condition and usage. I brought the other part separately to make it bigger. They are in the conservatory, so they can watch the wildlife in the garden. In the winter we have a heater on a timer so they are always warm, happy and extremity loved. I would highly recommend this Guinea pig spacious and airy home.

Great product.
Great product. Love it and so do my piggies. Very happy with it and great value. Would buy more if I got more animals. And was delivered a day early with tracked delivery service. I extended it with my run, just attached it onto the end of it. But large enough as it was. I just needed a space for hay for my animals and have done that until my divider comes

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE
This cage is not easy to assemble because it is just so flimsy. It collapses on itself so easily during assembly that it’s difficult to get it up. Once up, it has the soft, water proof material that you have to Velcro on to the bottom of the assembled cage to give your cage further strength. It’s a real job cleaning the material because it lacks a sturdy base. When cleaning, the whole cage rattles and moves along with the material, making it a very difficult job because there is no hard base. And you may ask, ‘why not just remove the material?’ Well, with 18 Velcro straps and a super flimsy frame, I don’t think anyone would like to do that every time they have to clean the cage. As I have mentioned it is not sturdy at all. The lid it comes with is very flimsy and when you have the middle divider in place, it is impossible to close this lid if you have fleece lining your cage, so please be aware of this. It’s a design flaw with the divider because the divider has 4 downward facing pieces that need to be attached on to the cage by pushing down on to the cage so they sit on the cage for support. Because your fleece or any thick material you use is below, it stops the divider from sitting flush with the area on the cage that the divider needs to clip on to. This not only affects the divider making it unusable, but the lid will NOT close at all unless you force the lid down and hope that you can clip it down on to the frame with the clips that come attached to the lid. This makes it a terrifying ordeal for your guineas especially when the divider is being used during the bonding stage and your guineas we already under stress. I would not invest in this cage. Look in to making your own C&C cage which is what I’ve ended up doing as this cage is too flimsy and way too small for two guineas.

Fantastic
I bought two which I joined together to allow my two boys lots of space. I chose this version of the Midwest because we have a dog and as cages are on the floor, I feel more comfortable knowing they are safe. The cages are spacious and easy to assemble. They are versatile for however you want to join them. Excellent product. I don't use the divider as I personally feel it makes the cage too small.
