Gets used often

Of the dog carriers we have this one is by far the most comfortable. A few wishes: the inside leash is short making it difficult for my dog to move around. Her shoulder height is 12 inches. Since she is well-trained, I don’t usually use that leash. When it arrived it smelled of toxic vinyl probably from the straps, bottom, and side vents. I left it outside for a few days for the chemicals to release. The pockets are helpful but the laptop pocket is too short for my Thinkpad X1 Carbon and I wish there was a better exterior pocket for my phone. The small exterior pocket it very tight and not good if you have big hands. I use that pocket for keys and am able to get them out with two fingers. (I wear ladies medium gloves.) That pocket could have been bigger and much more practical. The exterior could have lost the decorative straps. The tablet pocket is a nice touch but I never put a tablet in it. The straps to fold the top back are made with vinyl. They are too flexible for the heavy hardware and they fall out of the clasp holders all the time. Needs modification. The side vents seem thick. I never close the top when my pup is in it for fear it will be too stuffy and plastic-smelling. In spite of the room for improvement, it is still the most comfortable bag to take my minpin out. She enjoys it especially since she’s old and doesn’t have the energy to walk far. It can also be strapped in a seatbelt. We had a hard stop once and she stayed in it safely. When we rode in a bus, I turned the bag laptop side down, and my dog was able to lie down and sleep. I take my dog out more often because of this bag.

Awesome Backpack!

I'm really happy I purchased this bag! My lil pup may be even happier :). We've had the bag for about a week now. He did not like it at first though (he's claustrophobic) but once he figured out the bag meant adventure, he can't wait to get back into it. We went on a road trip and the bag came in very handy. We were able to walk into stores and restaurants without an issue and went on some long hikes. I also take him to work with me every day, so I really like that the bag looks professional and has a laptop pocket. It's really roomy; I'm able to carry my dog and many other things! I may even use it as a regular backpack and not just a dog carrier. I imagine it would be great for travel or grocery trips. I'm super impressed with the quality. It seems to be very durable! There are only 2 things that I don't like about the bag. The first is that the latches that hold the cover in place (bottle openers) are too large so the cover unrolls every time I set the bag down. Also, the interior safety tether is a bit too long for my small dog. I wish it was adjustable. If it weren't for these 2 issues, I'd give this bag 5 stars.

My Dog Loves It!

The media could not be loaded. I took my dog on a road trip. He’s 14 years old and can’t walk as much as he used to. I’ve tried a few backpacks and this is the only one he likes. He’s super comfortable in it! And the backpack is very comfortable and sturdy. He’s a ChiPin and is about 10 lbs. I had to put a little pillow at the bottom because he’s a little too short for how tall the backpack is. He stays in it when we are dining too and just sleeps.

Great for airport travel!

I travel with my dog often and the duffle bag style carriers are heavy and usually don’t fit under the seat well. This one makes carrying him through the airport much easier and fits perfectly under the seat. He likes that he can fully stretch out on his side and seems more comfortable. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is the magnets on the straps are weak, which doesn’t seem like it would be an issue but when you have them in the bag, the weight pulls down the front and causes it to droop. If the magnets were stronger, the straps would support the weight better and eliminate the issue.

I really wanted to love this bag, but it needs improvements

I really really wanted to love this bag. Design-wise, the construction of the shape is very good for carrying a small pet. There's even a harness/collar attachment inside, and a leash carabiner on the back. However, that's where the praise ends. It's not a true rucksack style, and rolling either the mesh lid or the top lid is cumbersome. Without actually wearing it, the top flap kept unfolding. I put my dog inside this, and she's only 9.8lbs, and barely 13 inches (not including tail). However, she can only sit up in it. And there's no room for a decent camera and first aid kit (or even one of those items). That's a big deal breaker for me. While my furry best friend has definitely gotten older, that doesn't mean we're not hitting some serious hikes that she needs to take breaks on. But we still need to have some sense of security (water, snacks, first aid) which won't fit. I even tried to buy accessories this week to see if I could strap them onto this pack, but the extra straps on this pack are more for design than function, as trying to strap a soft foam case (for camera or a diy first aid) would not set securely against the straps or rucksack. If the straps, side vents, and front decoration were true gear and attachment points, I would probably keep this. But for the price, I'm returning it until I find a better solution. I'll work around my 36L size Osprey or name-brand Camera bags that offer more space and better protection (for dog and cameras).

Used??? Bought as new!

The carrier arrived quickly and it appears it will meet our needs. We have a 6 year old shih tzu with an injured leg that we want to take with us on our walks. It seems to be of good quality. However, at $125 I did not expect to find animal hair on the pad leading me to believe it was used? Returned and sold as new? Very disappointed with this. Expected to receive new merchandise.

Super für den Hund, für kleine Frauen ein kleines Manko

Auf den Bilder seht ihr unsere Easy, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 30cm groß, 6kg schwer und mich (1,56m groß). Easy hat genug Platz im Rucksack und wie man auf dem einen Foto sieht, wollte sie gar nicht mehr raus. Die 6kg Hund merkt man schon auf dem Rücken, aber der Rucksack an sich ist sehr leicht. Das tolle finde ich, dass man den Rucksack auch als Alltags- oder Wanderrucksack nehmen kann. Mir war es wichtig einen Rucksack zu haben, der (ohne Hund) eher wie ein normaler Rucksack aussieht. Einen Minuspunkt habe ich dennoch.... die Träger sind zwar super weich gepolstert, aber als kleine Person (so wie ich) kann man die Träger- und den Brutsgurt nicht eng genug schnallen. Ich hätte gerne die Träger noch etwas weiter angezogen und den Brustgurt etwas tiefer und enger gemacht. Die Luftlöcher beim Verdeck und auf der Seite kommen mir etwas klein/eng vor, aber wenn der Hund, so wie auf den Fotos, rausschauen kann spielt das keine große Rolle. Ich finde den Rucksack toll und unkomplizierte wie ein Hundebuggy.

High quality

Fantastic carrier. I have the medium size which gives my JRT plenty of room. The rigid base is great, gives comfort to the dog and fits nicely against my back. Plenty of storage and the side vents are a nice touch. All.in all, it's worth the discounted price, I Don think I would have paid three figures for it

8kg Jack Russell happy with it

Bought to carry our 8kg Jack Russell when he struggles to walk on certain surfaces as he now suffers with a bad hip. He is more than happy to get in it and appears to enjoy his elevated view ????. It could benefit from a waist strap to make it more comfortable for the rucksack wearer and a couple of side pockets for a water bottle etc. Also, not really sure why it needs space for an iPad or small laptop! It is more expensive than some, but worth it as it is sturdy.

If only my dog would use it

It's nice and sturdy. It could do with a pocket for a water bottle on the outside and somewhere to store food bowls but I love the laptop sleivete. I guess if you aren't carrying laptop you could put bowls there. It's a little confining for my toy cockerpoo who is nearly 10kg and he jumps out of it and won't use it.

Good but…

There’s nowt wrong with this bag in terms of build and quality… I can’t vouch for comfort as I’ve not traveled in it. However the dog has and hates it! She’s a 16year old 9kg border terrier who screams like a banshee when travelling on my front or back! I can’t therefore recommend it tho’ others may have had a more positive experience.
