Low pressure

We’ve had this in use for 11 months. 4 months ago we lost a lot of flow and pressure. In searching the interweb for similar issues we found that a plugged filter may be the culprit. We bought more filters and what do you know, all worked well. This morning we had the same thing happen. I had the second filter on hand and replaced it right away except this time there was no change. I’m lost with what to do next. There’s really nothing more that can be done.

Works well, nice design, instructions can be confusing

Installation was not too bad but the instructions were confusing and not a fan of the various fittings and trying to determine which one to use. Would of been nice for the instructions to explain better. Once installed it works really well. Instant hot water.

Be ready for a challenge

This product comes with very poor instructions. I believe the instructions included are from an older product. With that said, it is doable if you can accept the challenge. The product expects 3/8” PVC piping. So stick with PVC piping. Make sure your cold water supply is 3/8” Then go get a 3/8” copper ‘T’ with the little plastic grommets to T in PVC. Do not test fit any of the Shark Bite connectors that are included (I think they are Shark Bite). The cold water from the faucet to the tank goes to 1/4”. No idea why, and the only thing I could come up with that fits the shark bite tank connected was 1/4” clear tubing. Cautions: Make sure to VERY firmly insert the pvc into the shark bite connectors. Failure means water everywhere. Learned this the hard way. Make sure to include the flow limiter before the filer. If you skip it, water goes everywhere. Learned this the hard way. Make sure to include the rubber gasket on the hot water out from the tank. Failure is a big leak (yep. Learned the hard way). And, finally, have some silicon or JB water weld for the unstoppable leak of the cold water into the tank. So far so good. Pros of this system: it’s the only one with black finish. Cons: hard to install. Water comes out super fast and burning hot. The max setting is necessary if you want over 197° for pour over coffee. Which splashes everywhere with high velocity over-heated water. The tank cools off quickly when you insert cold water into it. Which means, about one cup of coffee for consistent temperature. All in? Wish I’d bought an insinkerator instead.

We would have no hesitations in ordering again from the "Used-like new" options from AMAZON!" The Westbrass DT1F271-62 Develosah 9" 1-Handle Hot Dispenser Faucet with HotMaster DigiHot Tank came in perfect condition...all parts unopened, except for the original shipping box...And the savings toward our kitchen remodel were immense! Thank You Amazon! You put a smile on our faces and brightened our day!

Digital Tank not as good as Thermistor tank

We have had the Westbrass hot water dispenser with a Thermistor model tank for several years and it always worked. Finally the faucet valve gave out and I was just going to replace it. However the valve is pricey so I opted to replace the whole system. When I saw the newer digital tank system I ordered it thinking newer is better, however that was not the case. I have two issues with the new digital tank: 1) Installation was a pain for me as it differs from the Thermistor tank. The thermistor tank has a bracket that allows you to easily hang the tank on the wall under the sink, allowing the floor of the cabinet to have more space. The digital tank has to sit on the floor because the power cord extends from the back preventing the ability to hang the tank, even though there are two holes in the back for hanging? (The power cord for the thermistor tank exists on the side.) 2) Noise. The digital tank cycles on and off continuously day and night, and it is loud when it heats the water! Whereas the thermistor tank is quite and maintains a constant temperature. I was able to return this system through the easy Aamzonn returns process and then ordered the same Westbrass system except with the older style thermistor tank which is much better overall. (The thermistor tank model is QHT 1300W instant hot water tank.)

Great Purchase

Love it Moved to my custom build home, and splurged on this life’s convenience. Don’t need a tea kettle taking space on my stovetop. Hot oatmeal, grits, tea or anything hot in seconds is just wonderful!

Good Product, Bad Install

Install was a hassle and the instructions are not really helpful. They send a ton of parts that you don’t need, and leave out the parts you do. Almost seems like they changed the design but never updated the install kit. You’ll need to go buy tubing and figure it out for yourself, but it worked well after I got it running.
