Easy To Use With Steam Vents

This was well worth the investment from my old canister. Solid, won’t rust, lid vents steam, inside basket with long handles to lift out, see through glass lid, coated handles, indicator is nice feature & helpful. Haven’t tried the steam feature yet just basic water bath. Definitely recommend.

Won't fit in the dishwasher

This was America's test kitchen top pick they usually know what they're talking about haven't used it yet probably will this weekend it's big it's heavy and looks like it'll do a good job

sturdy

it is made well, fairly heavy, and is able to be used on an induction stove surface. Really like the glass lid. I have not used it yet...looking forward to trying it. It does hold 7 quart jars. And, I like the steam or water bath canning options.

Sturdy and a good value

One could pay twice the price and get nothing better than this canner. Built of strong materials and capable of being used on glass stove tops, this is just what I wanted. I especially like the top, which is glass for seeing the contents, and which has a thermometer built in.

What a gorgeous canner!

We had a decrepit enamel canner that I had to finally throw out and my husband and I decided to order this water bath canner. It has features that our old canner lacked, like a glass lid and a larger capacity. (It also has a temperature gauge, but I don't think we need it). When we received the canner, I discovered that the canning rack was missing. I got a hold of the seller and she told me how to copy the Amazon invoice and email it to her, so that she could send a replacement canning rack. I did this on Friday and we received it on Monday. I am so very pleased with the quick response. Mistakes happen but not everyone is so prompt in correcting them.

Bought as a gift for a friend.

We were impressed by the vast number of 5 star reviews. No one has a bad word to say about it. That said, it can't seem to be used for meat. Also, even for vegetables, it takes longer than a pressure cooker and therefore uses more gas, or electricity, depending on your oven's source of energy.

Nice canner.

Used it for the first time today and it is a great canner. The only problem that I had is that I couldn’t get 7 quart jars to fit in the rack. I tried shuffling them around (6 were wide mouth and 1 was regular mouth) and that didn’t work so I had to put a cloth in the bottom for the jars to sit on. Once my jars come out I will see if the rack from my old canner will fit for next time.

A real upgrade from my traditional black GraniteWare porcelain on steel canner

Works very well on my LG Induction stove and fits perfectly on the largest element. Very fast heating. The Amazon Warehouse Deal was fantastic, saved almost 50% from new and could not tell any difference. It was probably a returned product from someone who changed their mind. Very nice to have a lid you can see through! Haven't tried the steam canning capability yet, but the waterbath method has been flawless. The temperature indicator is a bonus and easy to calibrate. As well, it's a decent stock pot!
