Kitchen ceiling fan
Used this to replace the broken fan in my kitchen. Works great and the price is right

Good product for exhaust fan
It was fairly easy to install. Noise level was adequate but may be could’ve been a little better a little high price for a fan but you get the case and everything with it that I didn’t really need so that was the issue there.

Just what you need to fix/replace your Ventline V2270-50
Used to replace fan internals (motor, impeller, support plate) and cover for the Ventline V2270-50 installed in a bathroom of our ~20 year old double wide manufactured home. Parts leftover were the main fan housing which I did not need/wish to replace. Removing the fan internals (motor, impeller, support plate) was as easy as clip out/clip in. The "hardest" part was getting the installed female electrical connector out of the old mounting plate so it could be reused (though a new one was included) . "Hardest" is relative as I used a flat tip screwdriver to carefully pry the clips holding the socket in place , this was the only place any kind of tool was used. The new fan sounds better than the old one which sounded as if the motor bearings wear going bad . This is not a super quiet fan, but now it has a nice steady running sound rather than the old fans "hey, I'm eating myself here" racket. Note: I did try just cleaning my old fan impeller and cover before going for replacement. This did help some, but not enough to preclude replacement, as I think the dust buildup may have been causing some imbalance (contributing to bearing wear?) . I wonder if doing that regularly, over the fans life, may have help the fan last longer...just a thought. What I neglected to try was to dissemble the motor and lubricate the bearings on the old fan before buying the new one. If you are tight on money, and your fan is just a little loud/rough running, you could try that. I did do that with my old one after the change out. I used few drops of straight mineral oil which I had on hand , and it did seem to make the motor run smoother, but I am unsure how that would translate to installed running, and how long it would last (maybe a grease would be better?).

exact replacement for my old one
It was an exact replacement for my old one. So, all I had to do was remove the guts and replace with the new one. And I replaced the grille as well, but I did not have to open up the ceiling.

Works ok
I only needed to replace the fan and motor part, my old unit died and this one matched up with the old unit. Plug was slightly different then old one but compatible replacement plug is included to replace original coming out of ceiling. Performs ok in smaller bathroom,

Now my wife wants one in her bathroom!
I don't "love" a fan, but I did "love" the delivery and quality of the product. It was delivered USPS priority, earlier than scheduled: always a good approach. The fan came properly packed and arrived intact. The instructions are for a new installation and adequate for anyone who knows their way around basic construction. In my case, I only needed a new motor and fan assembly, what the instructions call the "motor plate". I also used the new grille which looked much better than my old one. The motor plate detaches easily from the vent housing with two plastic tabs and the power detaches from a plug in the housing: no wiring required for a replacement. It can easily be done in 20 minutes or less. The fan is reasonably quiet, without the whine many bathroom fans have. The delivered unit has all the parts needed for a new installation or replacement of the housing if it is damaged or old. The instructions provide adequate suggestions for venting solutions. Note that this is a side venting fan. The instructions do a good job of warning any installer to turn off electricity and use a GFCI protected circuit. The price as delivered is competitive from other sources both local and online.
