I'm pretty happy with this
I needed to add a couple of vents to a new large shower and water closet when remodeling a master bath. I didn't need any extra lighting so I got the basic unit with two vents. It was nice to get a product made in the US (Kansas) instead of China. It seems pretty well built and once mounted in the attic is much quieter than any normal bath fan unit. I didn't measure the airflow into the registers but it seems sufficient for small areas such as I was using. They talk a bit in the instructions about how to mount the unit to help keep condensation from collecting inside. After looking at it I think it's probably wise to heed the instructions. You're pulling warm very moist air out of an area and pulling it into what during the winter will be a cool or cold attic. The moisture will condense. Seems to be pretty well made but the instructions for mounting the bracket could be better. I know how a centrifugal blower works so inlet and outlet were easily figured out but if you don't know there's nothing to tell you and it would be easy to hook the ducts up backwards since they're both 6" in and out. It was worth the money as long as it lasts.

Excellent exhaust fan, but requires careful installation.
This exhaust fan system is very high quality and very versatile. The design uses a single, high capacity fan motor to draw air from two separate exhaust housings. You will notice that this fan exhausts three times as many CFM as other, comparable exhaust fans yet it is very quiet. I can definitely recommend it. To ensure the quietest operation you want to have the distance from each exhaust housing to the fan motor as equal as possible, but whatever your configuration this is a very quiet, very efficient exhaust fan setup. The mounting of the fan motor housing requires some care. I had to phone Fantech support to solve my particular problem. They gave me an answer which turned out to be incorrect, but it pointed me toward the eventual solution. In my case part of their installation instructions was ambiguous and unclear. You must be very aware of any condensation forming in the ductwork or in the fan motor housing. The key is to use insulated ducting and to insulate the fan motor housing itself. The issue is having warm, moist exhaust air running through ducting that is cold (the attic in winter) so that moisture condenses and collects in locations where it eventually corrodes the metal housing or else encourages mold/mildew to form. By insulating the fan housing as well as the ductwork you avoid the problem, but you must do this as part of the installation.

Unbelievably quiet
Everything you need to vent a large bathroom. The fan unit itself gets mounted in the Attic and the sound level in the bathroom is almost non-existent. I'm very pleased with this system. The only problem is that you only need about three feet or less of 6in duct to go through the roof and the big box stores only sell it in 25 foot sections. Update:. We've noticed that the illuminated vent vibrates when the fan is on. There is almost 9' of duct between the fan and the light so I'm not sure how this is happening. I may try more insulation around duct to dampen the vibration.

Enjoying my steam free bathroom
I was hoping this fan would be a bit more quiet, however it is MUCH more quiet than the fan that was removed. It also moves huge amounts of air and my prior fan didn't move enough air to make a candle flicker. We just bought this house and the bathroom is large, so I really needed a fan that would vent the room. This one does just that!! It took moments for my electrican to install, he said it was easy. He was also able to connect the prior vent to this fan, so no need to cut a new hole in the ceiling. Bonus and $$ saving to me.

I think you sent me too small of a mounting bracket for the fan.
The mounting bracket doesn't allow the fan assembly to mount on a flat wall, like the directions suggests it does.

Bad packaging department
I have and love the Fantech product. I have it in my current home. I have ordered 2 of these fans for my new build house. Unfortunately the one product did not come with the 'Y' bracket nor the mounting piece for the fan unit like it was supposed to. I had to order a new one delaying our electrician and contractors. Unfortunately the new one that came in did not have the 'Y' bracket but did have the fan mount. I had to have our HVAC contractor buy his own'Y' bracket as to not delay the project. I am not sure what is going on with the shipped department but you may have missing parts.

Noise leve
I have installed this brand before and still would recommend this product . Our fan is used to exhaust two bathrooms ,and the fan being remote the noise level is low.

Amazing fan!
Amazing fan!! We replaced a bathroom fan that was so inefective, and was NOT a cheap fan, that we had to prime and repaint entire bathroom due to moisture damage. This fan is so powerful that there is NO steam on the mirror. As fans go it is not terribly noisy, not any more than any other fan. Worth every penny!!
