KITTY PLAY AND LAY PERCH

I bought this very affordable, cat approved and sturdy for the size, perch which is the 3rd one to be in our home (we already have a round one with an oval one side by side in our living room, which our sweet And chunky. Adult cat, Callie, spreads out on...) Placed at the foot of our bed for her to sleep on at night. She currently sleeps on a stack of 3 storage bins, with cushy towl and flannel topper. This is TOO SHORT, to fill our request. It is shorter than the other 2 we have. She is too big for it (I thought the bed part was oval.) I NEED TO RETURN IT but, the 30 day return window is closed, Although I didn't open it up and assemble until about 2 weeks after it arrived, due to knee replacement surgery, I am a senior citizen. CAN I EXCHANGE FOR A TALLER AND OR OVAL ONE? THANK YOU.

Great for small cats but may lean

This tree is perfect for new kittens and lighter cats. I brought this when I adopted my kitten who was 5 months old and 3 lbs at the time. In the past few months she has since doubled her weight and STILL loves this tree. The platform is nice for them to sit on and be at a couch height, personally my kitten loves to watch tv from it. The scratching post is a nice too and my cat loves to stretch out on it, however she’s rather gentle on it. So I can’t speak for the strength of the post, HOWEVER the reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because it is now starting to lean from her sitting on it and the single screw in design of the post.

Small but works

I have a medium size cat, about 9-10 lbs, and a medium+ size cat, 11.5-12 lbs. I thought would be too small for tubby kitty, but she enjoys curling up and sleeping on the bed as well! I wouldn't get for cat over 12 lbs. I was able to assemble it within a few minutes. Purchased primarily for smaller cat. To entice her, I set a treat in the bed. She reached up, ate the treat, then jumped up to explore. Within 15 minutes she was curled up napping, and she continues to use it. It is cozy, ie. she cannot lay flat, but she likes it. It meets the purpose and for $26 is a good value. Was surprised when larger cat wanted to squeeze into it, too. I would have had to spend at least $55 to get something comparable at the local pet store.

cat bed

I purchased this right after I got my cat. My cat is 1 1/2 years old. I thought he would use it because he was sleeping on my bed at night so I put it in my room next to my window thinking he would like to sit up next to the window comfortably. I have had this for about a month now maybe a little longer. He has no interest in it at all. I have even tried picking him up and putting him on it and he just jumped right down. It was a waste of money for me. Also the size of the bed is on the smaller side so this might only be best for someone with a kitten or small cat. My cat was a little on the thin side when we brought him home so if you have a kitten you might get some use out of this for a few months. It was quick and easy to put together. I like the color and design of it. I would be happier if it was bigger or maybe I should say wider.

So glad I didn't

Had I listened to some of the reviews I never would have purchased this! So glad I didn't. My kitten loves this. It is sturdy, she is on it all the time. She sleeps on it, watches out the window, uses the scratch posts, and leaves my furniture alone. She only weighs 4 pound now, but I am sure that it will hold her when she is fully grown. I put it on a small table in front of the window and made two pieces of duct tape into double sided tape to keep it from sliding and it is her favorite place in the house. The string on the pom pom was very flimsy and broke right away, however I just put a heavier piece of string on it and stapled it (heavy duty staple) to the platform. I am totally pleased with this product. I am attaching 2 photos to give you an idea of the size.

My Kittens Love

I love this, My two 12 week old Kittins love this. I read all reviews and decided for the price I was going to give it a try and I am so happy I did. We put it together and it is just awesome. Its sturdy, the carpeted parts are soft, the little paw toy the dangles is still attached for play, the scratching post pieces are doing its job as my kitties have been scrathing away. And just to let everyone know I also have a 13 year old, 14 lb cat that has joined in on the play with it.

My cat loves it! but quality issues

My cat loves it and I'm glad he does but the anchor that the little towers screws into I found it on the floor I didn't know what it went to so I threw it away and then I noticed the tower kind of getting wobbly and realized that it went underneath and it screwed into that so I don't know how it came off but I'm still happy with it my cat loves it

Good Looking scratching post, but poor quality

Trixie Tarifa Scratching Post, 52 cm is a Good Looking item, however the unit is flimsy and not very stable. My cat rarely used it, and yet after a couple of months of rare use, it started collapsing. Upon checking, it is made out of poor quality cardboard tube centre piece, which unravelled itself like a toilet roll. Very disappointed, and will look to get a refund.

Good size for the money.

I have 2 cats, and in an attempt to stop them scratching all my rugs and garden furniture, I thought it would be wise to invest in something that they can scratch away on without me having to chase them away. My cats are rather on the large side, so I wasn't sure if this would be big enough but it easily was. The cats almost instantly started scratching the post and one of them is always using the top platform as a bed. Well worth the money if your cats are a bit scratchy!

Great........at first......

I purchased this scratching post for my two new kittens 4 months ago. It arrived and looked great in our living room for a while. The hanging toy did not last five minutes however the kittens seemed to enjoy it. Sadly, I did not realise that is is really only suitable for small kittens. As my kittens have grown a few months on, they have broken it by weakening it each time they jump up on the platform. As it is simply thick cardboard with rope wrapped around it is not repairable. Really disappointed as it looked so nice.

Do not buy

Atrocious product. Came without the double threaded bar to hold the seat up. Fabric used to make the paw print no fastened properly and ended up in a kitten's mouth - I was easily able to remove the rest with a little rub. And I have to take the whole thing back to a post office to get a refund, as Amazon won't pick up. Serves me right for buying something cheap and cheerful that I thought would last a couple of month while they are growing...

Lovely to look at and appeared very good quality but hasn't stood up to being used by two kittens and an enthusiastic four year old! The fixings at the base are not very good and appear to have snapped so the whole thing is at an angle the whole time. The kittens still try to sleep on it but always look as though they are in danger of falling off! The only solution has been to lean it against the sofa. Not ideal!
