It really works, with some caveats...
I've been trying to get one of my cats to stop spraying for years. We've gone through drugs, behavior appointments, the works. But this stuff actually seems to help (along with a comfort collar). Make sure to test a hidden spot on your walls if your cat is spraying walls. Mine are matte finish and they've got drip marks all over them from this stuff. If it stains, spray the carpet. Or spray a towel liberally, dry the towel (air dry in the dryer works great) then put the towel where they're spraying. Also, make sure if you're using this stuff in a small room to get some ventilation going. Two or three sprays of the stuff too close to my nose will practically cause my throat to close up. It's not really smelly, just astringent. Once it's dry you can barely smell it.

I think this works!
I have a serious spraying issue between my two rescue cats and have been at my wits end. I am also a feline behavioral consultant so I knew I had to tackle this from multiple angles. Another colleague recommends spraying this on areas where your cats like to spray, and apply 2-3x day until the problem is contained. This is not a complete solution, just complimentary. I had to use enzyme cleaner to deep clean all the spray spots (black light kit helps) and provide other marking options for them such as scratchpads. So far it seems to be helping! They only sprayed one spot where I had applied this so far but it’s gone from a daily occurrence now to attempt per week. I usually interrupt them before they can start. This is also being paired with the optimum formula diffuser so YMMV depending on what other techniques you use in addition.

Works for my furbaby
We brought our kitten home yesterday. I sprayed this around the area and stuff that our kitten will be using before picking him up. After arriving home, he slept for a few hours. He was very playful after waking up. I thought he would be depressed and stressed after moving into our home but it felt like he lived with us all his life. I feel that this product worked and helped him adjusting into his new life with us. It does have a scent, like saliva, after spraying the stuff onto his blanket. His blanket smells like saliva.

I think this actually helps, but it’s very expensive when I have to use it all over the house.
I tried this to dissuade cats from spraying in the house. It is helping but is VERY expensive! I wish there was a more economical size!

Smelly at first but it actually works
I have always seen "anti cat scratch/urinate" spray as gimmicky and ineffective. I purchased this out of desperation and part of a full setup for a last ditch effort to stop my cat from spraying on my sofa, fully expecting to return it because it didn't work. For context, he's fixed. We have plenty of food dishes down at all times and litter boxes, but my other cat is very territorial and quite a bully. She actively blocks him from resources, so he started spraying, likely due to stress. This spray, combined with a hormone diffuser and hormone collars, has been the only thing that has ever had any effect on their behavior. They actively avoid everything I spray with it. I haven't seen either of them so much as sit on the couch since I liberally applied this spray. I've used it on other items like my bean bag chair and office chairs to help keep him from being tempted to spray those. To my surprise, it has worked wonders. It's been a week since I started using it and not one of the cats has set foot on anything I've applied this to. They also seem much calmer and friendlier with each other. I'm hoping in time they'll be friends, but until then, this has saved my couch and other furniture for the moment. Only downsides are that it stinks at first and it's kind of expensive for a small bottle. But the smell fades fast and you don't notice it afterwards. I've applied it every day since I got it, as per the instructions, and I have to say I'm happy to have been proven wrong.

Taming 4 indoor cats
So due to an unfortunate situation, I've had to move from my home and wait in one room with all 4 of my cats as I wait to move back home. My cats were indoor outdoor cats and this is a definite shock to have to go indoors in such close quarters. At night the males will still meow and scratch but in general there is very little fighting. There is NO spraying and they only scratch at the door a little. I think this spray and diffuser is helping keep 2 females and 2 males calm and generally quiet in an unfortunate situation.

It actually works
My cat was scratching my couch and I sprayed it on and she stopped. You do have to reapply every couple of days though and the scent is interesting. It does work though.

Sprayed on plant, cat promptly ate plant
So like I said. I sprayed this on a plant, and my cat promptly ate the plant. I suppose this isn’t that kind of repellent, which is accurately advertised… I couldn’t smell anything, so that was cool.

Comfort Zone Spray saved Christmas
Not even two minutes after putting up the Christmas tree, Jimmy the Cat was chewing the pre-hung lights and climbing the tree. I couldn’t keep him away from it. I bought this spray and I can’t believe how well it works. I spray the tree every morning and Jimmy doesn’t go near it the whole day. The directions state to spray each day. Perhaps some of the negative reviews were from people who didn’t realize they need to use the spray daily. I’m so happy. I thought we wouldn’t be able to keep the tree up. Jimmy the Cat would disagree. He just hangs out with his white stuffed critter glaring annoyingly at me. I definitely would recommend this product.

Potentially expired?
The product arrived today, in an envelope, but the bottle heated in transit, so I don’t know how this would affect the quality of the product. Overall the structure changes when substances are heated and cooled. Secondly, inside the box was a discount coupon that was expiring dec 2018. We are in Aug 2020...So, this begs the question- how old is the product? Is it expired? Now I’m not comfortable using it because of those 2 reasons...

Necessary stuff!
I was so excited this came today, the sixth day after ordering. Pretty fast for getting to our remote little town. (The seller was amazon itself btw) We are driving 2.5h to the vet tomorrow, with four cats who hate drives, and I only noticed at the last minute that we were nearly out of Feliway! I'm so happy we got it in time! It isn't magic, but calms them significantly which is way better than not using it. I just don't quite understand the categories of cat pheromones... is it all the same? I feel like there are at least 2 pheromones involved from the way they market the stuff. This type says it's anti-scratch but it actually works better for us than the plug-in version that comes in Classic and Multicat, for the purpose of peacekeeping. Plus, with this one, I am spared the paraffin fumes (oh my eyes and sinuses!) and fire risk of using a plug in. Plus, afterwards you have a sturdy little spray bottle. I'm definitely in love with this product! Does it work for its stated purpose, reducing scratching? Yes. I have one very nice antique persian rug, and a couple less precious ones, and a cheap, plain one. I encourage scratching on the cheap rug, and placed it at the main intersection of the home, where a cat naturally wants to place their mark. I mist this product on the nicer three rugs, very sparingly, once a week. We also have scratchers of all types everywhere. Between the designated scratching rug and the sisal posts etc, the cats are happy to stay clear of the persian rug. Now, would the spray work as well if the nice rug were the only surface in the house suitable for scratching, and was in a location that encourages scratching? I'm not sure. Why would you put a cat in such a tough situation anyway? Scratching is essential for a strong back and general good health. Please provide scratching opportunities. But yes, if you give them other options, and use this on your nice couch or rug or whatever, they WILL leave it be. And I know the spray is a crucial part of the plan because sometimes I forget for a couple weeks and then they do scratch the nice rug. I find if I get carried away with how much I use it actually seems to agitate them. Like in 1200 sq ft, I do maybe six squirts. So it lasts quite awhile. And this is a very competitive price. Worth every penny!

Bought in Aug 2020; coupon in box was expiring Dec 2018
We have four cats and they dont always get along. Comfort Zone spray seems to work, or so says my wife. Bought product with an expired coupon, which made me suspicious that the bottle contents had expired. I called the manufacturer and they said this formulation of pheromone does not expire. Lot# was made in 2018 but still good to use. Bottle has no expiry date on it and so I think I believe them. Just letting everyone, so you dont need to waste your time looking into it as well.

controls my cat's scratching
My young cat scratches everything - carpets, furniture, even lampshades. This works very well to control it. It does need to be reapplied about once a week which gets expensive when I have so much area to spray. However this is less expensive than the original brand.
