Just Okay.

This worked just ok for me-strong & healthy person who just needed the extra support because of an ankle surgery. This would not work for a person who is weak however. The legs are not stable. An extra horizontal bar across the legs would stablize them for a much better support for a weaker person. When considering a purchase like this, one must take into account the heighth of the toilet seat and the heighth of the person. Although this product is adjustable it would be better with more adjustibility. Either that or purchase a toilet safety system with a seat built into it. My toilet was too low which made the combination of the wiggly legs and limited adjustments somewhat less than desirable.

I appreciate the idea of this, and I have been successfully utilizing it, but each time I worry about its stability. Imagine the free-standing legs getting their support from the screws that hold it down. Understandably, that leaves the arms a bit wobbly. The legs remain stable--never moving. I just wonder if, over time, the arms will buckle. I can't see a way to improve upon that, and it is far superior (in my opinion) to my other options. For now, I'm grateful to have it.

Floppy Arms

Well, the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because with modifications it is somewhat useful. The joint that allows it to be folded flat for shipping is very loose. The arms flop arouns more than 6 inches. I used a 6 inch long 3/4 PVC pipe split lenghtwise and put one half over each joint and secured each end with hose clamps. That took care of that joint. However where it fastens at the back of the seat is also a very loose joint. I took a 3 inch angle and secured the right arm to a wall that is 3 inches away. The left arm has nothing to fasten it to so at least I have one arm stabalized. One should never expect something bought new would have to be rebuilt to be funtional. Best stay away from this one unless you want to take the time to rebuild it and have a close wall.

Safety arms

My parents have been having problems getting on & off the toilet. This product installs easily (just removed the toilet seat), can be adjusted after installation, & works well for elderly parents. The legs can be moved out slightly if necessary, but they can be tightened in position to provide firm support. The simplicity of design makes for easy care, too. Great product!

The frame sits comfortably over and around the toilet

Perfect for my mother-in-law, who has a hard time getting up. The frame sits comfortably over and around the toilet and does not get in the way. I don't have to worry about her getting stuck sitting in the bathroom now. I recommend it for anyone who has knee problems and standing up is such a chore. Sturdy frame.

It's ok. But not very sturdy. Have to make sure the legs on it are square on the floor before you push yourself up Easy to put together.

Bit wobbly but it works

Had to use a hacksaw to install to make it a perfect firm fit and now it is very good

Feels Flimsy

I purchased this for my father bud after installing it was very disappointed. The support feels incredibly flimsy and legs have 2-3 inches of back and forth movement. The support is also reliant on the toilet seat bolts; so if you have plastic toilet seat bolts the movement of the support may shear and cause a fall. I think this is highly dangerous.
