Replaced an Older Set

Just FYI if you have an older set: I took off a star because this seems not to get as scorching hot as the older model (bought at least 10 years ago). That one made the curlers so hot that I would drop them, but made tight curls. Otherwise, this new one is great and is exactly the same and even the old curlers fit on this one. I let this unit heat up for a looooong time...sometimes and hour bc I plug it in, go do something else, and then set hair last. This is my favorite size unit because it takes up very little space and gets the job done at home or on travel. I do not use the metal clips that come with it; I use claw shaped clips that are sold separately. (FYI the old unit still works but the plastic on the large curlers was getting brittle and breaking off...prolly from hitting the floor so many times. LOL!)

It heats up well enough for me. I like this product!

I have been using an old set of travel curlers that have started to break apart due to the many many times they have been heated. I was beginning to burn off my finger prints! These new curlers are awesome. You get 10 curlers. Five are small and five are larger. The middle of the curlers have a plastic covering that makes it very easy for me to roll my hair onto them. The heat temperature is good and not nearly as burning hot as my old set was. I keep the curlers rolled on my hair for 5 mintues; and my hair curles and looks great without burning my hair. I said good-bye to my old set once I used the new set.

Works great for begineers!

This is an easy to use curling set! I've never styled my hair much, so this was a great first step into learning how to do that, if you're scared of burning yourself with a curling iron like I am! I used this on both extremely long and short hair for myself, and this is definitely easier with short hair. My primary use was for my bangs until they were long enough to style in other ways, and it was perfect for getting them off my forehead and giving them some bounce! The curlers are not very large and cannot hold too much hair, so this may not be the product for long-hair folks. The J-hooks included can be a little challenging to use at first, but I did find a couple of videos helped a lot with the learning curve. It's also a bit of trial and error. It warms up in about 5 minutes and is ready for use. It is perfect for early morning routines! It's not meant for drying, so be aware! Overall, would recommend to anyone looking for an easy way to get some curls!

Rolls your hair

They are very good rollers, and they come in a very small bag which I absolutely love. So easy to travel with. It takes them a little bit longer then usual to heat up but not a whole lot longer and they do curl your hair. The only thing I don’t like is when they get hot, THEY GET HOT and I have burnt my fingers several times on them while trying to roll my hair. They get so hot that it burns your fingers while you are trying to put them in your hair.

Good for travel, but . . . .

The compact size is really nice. But you'll probably need a bigger set. My hair is not super thick and is only shoulder length, but there are only enough rollers for half my hair at a time, which makes it take a long time to use. But the curl is beautiful and long-lasting for me. I'm considering buying a full-size set. A curling iron is so much quicker though, but it is a different look.

Perfect for travel

Just received these and gave them a test spin before my upcoming trip. First of all- great size! Small and compact! They say they will be ready in 90 seconds- eh- I don’t think a few extra minutes would hurt- MAKE SURE THEY ARE ALL LOCKED DOWN ONTO THE ELEMENT I left them in for about 15 min Did they give me the tight curls I usually get from my regular full size set- NO Did I burn my finger like other stated- NO Did I have trouble with the clips- NO Very Nice curls in the time it took me to put on my makeup and get dressed- definitely more bounce and curls then I would EVER get from packing a curling iron and in 1/4 of the time.

My favorite, hot rollers! So easy to use, compact, and glamorous!

I absolutely love these hot rollers! I have had them for over a decade and just bought a new pack on Amazon. They do not disappoint. They have lasted me forever and now this pack will probably last me another 10 years. They give me so much volume and I can tell that they are healthy for my hair and not causing damage like a curling iron or flat iron would do. I am very satisfied with how fast is heat up and how protective they are to my hair strand. My hair looks absolutely amazing like I just came out of a salon. I highly recommend these hot rollers to everyone! And they are so lightweight and easy to travel with. These are my go to hot rollers for everything that I do.

Great space saver!

I wanted to buy a simple hot curler set that was easy to store or pack when traveling. I opted for this set compared to a plastic case because I have found in the past, the plastic cases can easily crack. I always plug curlers in as I'm getting ready. I have long hair that takes awhile to dry and find that usually is a sufficient amount of time for curlers to heat up. The first time using the curlers I was so disappointed they did not heat up very well. I was ready to return but thought I would try again. The 2nd time I was sure to push the curlers in as far as they could go into the heated part. That did the trick!!! The curl does not hold ( that could just be due to my long hair) but provides great volume!

I bought these to replace my mums old travel set. Mum is very particular and wanted a set which is compact enough to take on holiday but also heats up fast and to a decent temperature. These apparently tick all the boxes for her. The only slight gripe is the American plug so you will need an adapter or just replace the plug to a british one which is pretty straight forward.

Good quality niche product

Bought for my wife to replace a similar set she's had for years. Comes with a 2-pin American plug but is easily adapted with this nifty internal adapter: Cable Mountain US to UK Plug Adapter Ships direct from the USA since they don't seem to be generally available over here. Universal voltage means you can take them anywhere

I have really thick unruly wavy hair. These ceramic curlers were the perfect solution for that. They leave your hair smooth & curly & looking in great condition (especially on holiday). I would recommend these curlers. Extremely happy. Oh forgot they're also super light weight so perfect for travelling.

I had some of these years ago and they were great. The company should make it more clear that it comes with an American plug. I did know this as a read the reviews, however they don't heat up quickly and don't get as hot as my old set. Bit disappointing.

Be warned - shipped from the US, with US plug

After I placed the order I realised the goods would be shipped from the US, and was dismayed by the delivery date - some three weeks or so. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the goods arrived within 7 days. As the goods were made in the US the plug is the standard two pin US plug, and you will therefore need an adapter plug to enable you to use it in the UK. The product itself is very good. The rollers heat up very quickly, and grip the hair well and feel comfortable. The unit is very compact, extremely well made, and is ideal for taking on holiday - hardly takes up any space in the suitcase. I would definitely recommend this product, as long as you are prepared to make the additional purchase of the adapter plug.
