Rollers are hot and difficult to hold
These rollers get very hot....only one heat setting. The rollers burn my fingers as I am rolling my hair and installing the clip. Also, the rollers placed close to my face will burn my face. I am placing a tissue between roller and my face to prevent a painful burn. Not sure about a remedy.....maybe a longer end to the rollers so ones fingers could clasp the roller. Also, maybe having different temperature settings.

Nice curls
I love this product. Takes 10 min to heat up, I leave them on while I do my makeup and take them off when it gets cool. My hair is thick and stubborn, does not hold a curl most of the time. These definitely stay in place. I take the curlers out, wait for my hair to cool, then spray with a flexible hairspray. Lasts all day. I love it! FYI the little metal things that come with it were a little difficult to use. I chose to buy some clips instead to keep them in place. Much easier that way.

Work great but hot to handle
These rollers worked great, but I did have trouble using them as they were a little hot to handle. I only touched the outside plastic part, as instructed, but they were still hot. It took me a few tries to get the clips in place because I had to put the roller down. I also had to use padding on my face and ears so I wouldn't get burned. It wasn't enough to cause a blister - just too hot. I'm still glad I purchased them. My hair looked great when I took them out and I'm sure I'll get better at it with more practice. I do wish the large ones were a little larger than they are. The curl is a little tight.

Almost gave 5 stars
The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it cools down when the lid is open. Otherwise, I love it. I have used hot rollers off and on for 55 years and these are the best hot rollers I have used since my first set. I am so happy it comes with pins instead of clips because clips tend to leave creases in my hair. I do wish they had left out the smallest rollers and replaced them with one of the larger sizes but there are a nice number of rollers. I see a lot of people are complaining that there is no place to put the clips. What do they want for the price? Put them in a little bag and store them inside on top of the rollers.

Overall Great
First time user of any rollers. The first roll was long winded and didn't turn out too well, so be sure to do a few trial runs before using to wear out and about! -They have a slight smell when heating up (warning on the info packet about making sure they're all properly placed on heating eyes), but nothing that doesn't go away after a use or two. -The hooks used to secure are a little confusing at first, but I've found if I put the long side near my scalp it's the most comfy! (The hook part goes AROUND the barrel, not long ways!) -Keep the rollers in longer than you think you need to! Packet says 10-15, but best results are about 30+ also aerosol hairspray is really helpful! I also don't have to roll all the way up if I don't want to, as I've got really long hair (almost waist length and pretty thick). -Keep the unit ON and lid CLOSED while rolling!!! The rollers get cool quick! Open and close lid with each new roller. Part hair out in small sections before you start rolling! *** -Let rollers heat up longer than the little indication sticker (weird little sticker on one of the rollers, I tried to peel it off at first lol) *** I hope this helps all the other ladies new to the hair game! I definitely recommend these!!

Easy to use, not too hot.
These Remington hot rollers are an economical purchase. They seem to have the right number of each size roller, heat fairly quickly (about 2 minutes, are easy to handle while hot because of the cool ends, and aren't hard on the hair with the soft cover on the rollers. I have fine, straight hair and I'm happy with the gentle curl I get. I was disappointed not to receive enough clips with my set, but I seldom use all the rollers, so I have let that go. Additional clips are available as an after market purchase, though. This is NOT a travel set. This is a sit on the counter set. The rollers don't heat up until the unit is plugged in. Note, leave the cover down to heat the rollers. If I were to make an improvement, I'd want an inline switch so that the unit could remain plugged in and turned on and off without finding a plug. Over all, a good price for a tool I use once in a while. Works as advertised.

Exactly What I was looking For
I had read some of the reviews on here and saw one that said "This is just like my set from the 80's". So with that I knew they were exactly what I was looking for! These are amazing hot curlers, and they are just like your old set, and yes our old sets lasted forever until we cut our hair off or went with a straight look. I've spent hundreds of dollars on the T3 hot curlers only to be disappointed with clips that don't hold the curlers and the curlers were easily broken if dropped. This is just like my old set back in the day, and the clips hold in place just like they always did! Paying more money for something new fangled is a waste of time and money. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SET to anyone who likes a nice curlers in their hair! I LOVE THESE ❤️❤️❤️

Sadly the worse hair product I have every encountered
Here's one of my rare less than 5 star reviews. My hair holds a curl, I'm mean holds a curl... it's like magic Barbie hair when you were a kid that you could curl, but not with this product. I allowed the rollers to fully heat up, set my hair, waited 15 minutes, took them out, let them cool down and my hair looked great for 10 minutes. (i'm not joking, 10 minutes). the whole thing fell out into straight hair, so I heated them up thinking maybe I didn't wait long enough with some or all of the steps, increased all times, and same thing. My Conair hot rollers work well, but they are the big ones and I wanted a tighter curl so I research and research before settling on these. If you see any negative reviews, believe them. I didn't want to believe them and as a result bit the bullet and purchased despite the warnings. I contacted Amazon and these were shockingly a no return item. So if you are buying these, know they are yours whether you like them or not. Fortunately Amazon was kind enough to make an arrangement with me so I wasn't on the hook for the full purchase price.

Great curls that last, but there are a few problems
Upon heating them up for the first time, I noticed a strange smell, which I’m hoping will dissipate over time. They are very hot to the touch and I feel like I need to wear gloves while using them so that strike 1. The curls I got lasted a very long time - I even slept and woke up with a gorgeous head of curls. I got them for work so I can use them on the road and they are great for that but there’s absolutely no place to put the pins when you are finished. There’s a small plastic bag they come in and I am apparently supposed to use that and hope I never lose it. Who designs hot rollers with no place to put the pins? Major design flaw, and that is strike 2. They do stay in place very well, so it’s not a complete strike out. I just really wish I would’ve paid closer attention to the fact that there’s no pin storage and that is very irksome!!! So overall, if you don’t mind, your fingers getting overheated, and are organized enough to keep track of the pins forever, then I recommend. Here’s to hoping I can stay organized enough lol hope this helps!

Horrible
Do not buy. There are much better rollers out there. I've used these four times and all times the curl INSTANTLY fell out of my hair. I tried using them different ways, alternating the size of the roller, how much hair I used, etc.etc. Every time my hair fell flat before even leaving my house. Don't waste your money. This item is not eligible for a refund so I am not out $45. Waste of money and horrible misleading product.

Great for long fine hair!
The only thing which I dislike is that it takes a little while to seat the curler into the right spot. However, the curl is great after your hair cools from the roller heat. Of course , it is also necessary to use the shampoos, conditioners, etc which are suitable for your hair texture and length. Also the right brush and hairdryer and hairdrying techniques are necessary for great looking hair . Hmm the right diet , lifestyle etc. it all adds up to a great looking mane! lol

Buy this right now!
Loved these rollers. I always go to hairdresser for a curly blowout and man I won't be there again. So so easy to use and for someone who has no patience I thought this was so quick and easy. Curls brushed out for me was fab. Next time I'll know to use less hair for some bits but for a first time try I am super happy. The rollers weren't hot to touch at all. Good for travel very compact and the clips were very easy to use. Will not regret, what a bargain!
