Broke after a few weeks of light use.

Product felt sturdy and seemed like it would be a good way to save a little money but get the same results as the more expensive products from the big box store. At first, it was exactly that. Handle was pretty comfortable and was easy to keep a good grip on it while scraping away. The only thing that had me a bit nervous was this black plastic ring when the handle met the blade holder. After the first day it became lose and would slide up and down the handle, revealing beneath it a very shallow weld point which is the only weld attaching the handle to the blade carriage. Sure enough, within two weeks, that shallow weld snapped and the blade carriage just falls right off the handle. Upon inspection of the handle you couldn't even see a single sign of a weld penetrating through the handle to the blade carriage. Could have probably been a pretty solid product if that weld had managed to penetrate through and firmly join the handle to the blade carriage.

Sharp Heavy Duty Scraper

Sharp Heavy-duty Floor Scrapper With Handle. It's the perfect size (19 inches) for smaller jobs or in tight spaces. This scrapper is well balanced and comfortable. The All metal construction can handle big jobs with little effort. It works very well as an all around scrapper. The blade is both sharp and durable. Blade is easily removed with only two screws. I used it to remove dried on epoxy from my garage floor.

A very nice well made tool with a very nice price

What I like about this very well-made very reasonably priced Heavy Duty Floor Scraper is the way the blade can be finessed while scraping various types and thicknesses of floor gunk. What can be somewhat problematic is the weight -- and surprisingly it is easier to manipulate when the handle is extended, even when I'm wearing protective gloves. I tried using it on walls and ceiling but it was awkward for the most part -- I wore goggles (at al times) because there were times the scraper almost flipped - possibly at times from my own enthusiastic efforts. This scraper, with reversible blades, and extendable padded handle IS a workhouse. For the price you get what you pay for but I say that in a very practical approving way.

Good scraper

This is a solid heavy scraper that has a nice length to it. It has a metal end so you can use a mallet or hammer to bang on on it. Regarding handle length, I find it easier to be on my knees versus bent over as much. The blades come sharp and easy to replace with removing a few screws. I have sharpened them a few times and rotated the blades to keep them lasting longer. The only problem I find is that the top of the handle comes off easy. Some high powered glue helps keep it on better. It's a nice heavy duty scraper.

This scraper is heavy and feels solidly built. Strong and just the thing to pop off old VCT tiles from a concrete floor. It has a metal cap on the end so you can use a hammer/mallet to wack it for those extra stubborn tiles. Because of the heavy weight it actually takes less effort to slide it under tiles. Its has good grip but the length is short so you got to get on your knees to use it. The one problem I have (which is why I dropped a star) is that the rubber handle is very loose and keeps slipping off, you will need to take it off and put superglue (CA) and reinstall so it doesn't spin and slide off.

Works as expected

Amazon Basics brand tries to produce products that are similar to name-brand ones but at a lower price. They sometimes may even use the same supplier as sellers purportedly have to disclose their sources to be able to sell on Amazon. With that said, this scraper works as expected and made tile, vinyl, and glue removable easy. It feels decent and solid in the hands and provides a good grip. The last part is important as you do not want to slip while scraping something -- I had nearly cut my finger off before while removing some sharp items and slipped because I was not paying attention.

Works great!

This tool has been an absolute godsend. We're in the process of renovating an older home, and there's lots of wood glue beneath the original flooring - and this takes it right off! It also works great with gum that’s stuck to pavement. The blade seems to be holding up nicely after extended use. The handle has a nice pad on it, and there's a fair amount to hold onto, so you can get a little momentum behind it.

Not very strong

Used for trying to remove ceramic tile cement after lifting tiles. Didn’t live up to expectations inasmuch as the handle isn’t solid enough to take any amount of hammering. It’s not solid as suggested by some reviews but in fact tubular light gauge steel. The end cap came off after a very short time and then the handle and chisel parted company as they are simply glued together. I eventually used a different tool for the job. Unless you are using for a very light job, where hammer use isn’t necessary, then I’d stay clear of this product. On the plus side, it was cheap so I didn’t feel too bad about binning it!

Worth it's weight in gold

I was removing wall and floor tiles and needed something to take the grout off and leave a smooth, flat wall /floor. I ordered this scraper with low expectations but it turned out to be really good. Took the wall grout off like butter and it took almost all of the floor grout off too. Really very pleased.

Great sturdy tool to take parquet floor up

Great tool. Got a semi stuck down parquet floor up, sometimes in big chunks and cleared floor in 2 hours so impressed. Did need to tighten the screws but the blade was really good and scooped up the adhesive and tile pieces up really well.

Tiles get caught in the blade ridge

Used it to remove vinyl floor tiles but the keep hitting the ridge where the blade fits so you cannot get a good rhythm going when scraping them up

Does the job!

Very impressed. Nice to hold and blade very good. Rather amused that I had to verify my age when purchasing an extra blade later, but not for the scraper and blade itself!
