Very cute!

Very impressed with the quality of this kit. Just to make it clear, however, all you get in this kit is the felt, the embroidery floss, the patterns printed on white paper, and the gold cord to use for hanging. There is no needle and the fabric is not precut in the shape of the patterns. You must either cut out the patterns and pin them to the fabric and cut around them or trace them through translucent paper/plastic. I purchased some of the thin plastic quilting template sheets at Hancock's. They were not expensive and made it easier to mark around the patterns plus I will have them should I decide to make more in the future. I also used a very fine chalk marker to draw a straight line for the blanket stitch since I am not an expert seamstress. This brushed right off after I completed the stitching. I also went to YouTube and looked up the various stitches I wanted to use (including the blanket stitch since I had forgotten how to do it) and found that there is almost no stitch that isn't beautifully demonstrated on their videos. I have finished all but the embroidery on 3 of them. While it is suggested that you sew on the appliques with matching sewing thread, you could you use one strand of the included embroidery floss. I used sewing thread and they turned out fine. All in all a very enjoyable experience and they really turned out cute. I will probably order the mitten kit next.

The brown felt included in the kit wasn't a true brown, and wasn't the same shade as shown in the photos. It also would have been nice if a needle and a small amount of thread for each felt color would have been included in the kit. I'm not finished with the project...but the stockings are cute and I plan to give them as early Christmas gifts.

These are perfect gift card holders

I've made many of these for gift card holders, and the worst part is getting them back from my children and grandchildren. As a result, I have to make more every couple of years. They are not the easiest to make, as there are small pieces that need to be cut from the felt. I found the easiest way is to cut the pieces from freezer paper, iron onto the felt, then thread baste around the pieces before cutting them out. A little time consuming, but it gives the neatest results. I have several of her kits and every one is adorable.

No needle provided!!

Kit was nice but colors were little off a little.. had to go and buy a needle to sew would of been nice if there was one in package .. I’ll read more before I purchase these kinds of kits

Fun project to work on ????

I am a beginner on applique and the directions are easy to follow. The patterns are good, I made a copy of the patterns in case I made a mistake and wanted to make more of them. The felt is thick enough and there is enough to make all the patterns. I will be purchasing another Rachel’s kit in the future.

I am enjoying making these ornaments—the quality of the product is first-rate Cutting the felt using paper patterns was a little challenging as some of the pieces are tiny—but in the end the finished ornaments are adorable.

Materials in the pack ran out and for the cost I don't think that's good enough...

For the cost, I am disappointed. I have had to buy extra felt and extra thread, even though I thought I was very careful. The material is good quality and the instructions are very easy to follow. The finished product looks good, but too expensive I think...
