Lots of detail work to do

This is the 5th Bucilla stocking kit I have made. They are a lot of fun. Get a good sharp pair of small scissors as you will be cutting out a lot of stamped felt parts and put it together according to instructions in number order. I would also suggest a good pair of magnifier glasses as all the sequins have a small seed bead to put on the stocking (and there a a LOT of them). If you need help with any assembly or stitching instructions lots of video help on YouTube. I would suggest you line it after completion so none of the stitches will show or come loose over time (will also protect it in case any sticky candy gets on it) Also I found help on YouTube on how to do the lining- very easy. This will be heirloom piece when done and makes a great gift.

Incredibly cute and worth the price but not for beginners

Loved the kit and it's turning out great. The instructions were terrible and not written in the right order. I have a lot of experience sewing and beading so I just did my own thing and went off the picture. There was not enough white floss to complete the project but I had some so that wasn't a problem for me. The needles enclosed were unusable. The eyes were not large enough to pass the thread through. A split beading needle was needed as well as a very sharp large eye needle. Again, I had both. The pattern was cute and came together easily. I want to make one for each grandchild.

Incredibly cute but not for beginners!

It has been 30 years since I made one of these stockings, so I was a bit rusty. It took forever, and my husband suggested I just not bother, but I persevered! Once I got back into the swing of it, things went well. The instructions said there were two needles, but I only received one. I had to go to Michaels and buy those, as well as red sequins and black thread , as I ran out. Funny, but I accidentally bought brown instead of black, so one dog has a brown nose. Still super cute! I used every clear bead except one. Maybe include a little extra? Many were broken and unusable. The finished product is definitely worth the work I put into it, but I wouldn’t sell that stocking for less than $150! (Not that I’m going to sell it, but never discount the crafter’s time when buying crafts!!!)

Thread snaps

This is my 5th stocking. The quality of the felt is thicker and stronger which is nice. I did notice the thread snaps a lot easier than in the past. Other than that love these.

Many parts not included

I was making this stocking for my grandson. It is cute and would be cuter if I could finish it. First it came with the wrong directions. Then there was not enough thread. The red sequins look like they are damaged. I have written to the company, I received email directions which was fine. I asked for more sequins since I did not receive enough of them to finish the stocking. Yes they would send. That was almost a month ago. When I emailed again, there was a problem with delays. Good thing he is a baby and didn't need the stocking before Christmas. I will buy sequins and floss at Michaels so I can get this finished.

Made several of these over the years

I've made several of these over the years and had a great product to work with. This seems to have less directions for the beginner crafter it would be somewhat difficult. This particular kit came with the wrong directions, but I'm confident that with my past experience I'll be able to complete it.
