They don't tear up your legs!
These are some of my favorite pedals for general riding, mountain biking, and touring. They have a big platform, and the pegs do a nice job of holding on to your shoes. But the pegs are molded in to the platform and made of plastic, compared to most other pedals with the metal screws sticking out. These plastic ones may wear out more quickly compared to metal ones, but if they bang in to your calf, they won't draw blood like the metal ones do. After having that happen a few times, and then having it not happen with these, they quickly became one of my favorite pedals

Great pedals for wet and muddy conditions
I do a lot of trail riding and I was tired of my feet slipping off my pedals when riding in the rain and mud. I'm not ready to switch over to clipless pedals, but I wanted more traction. The Fyxation Mesa Platform Pedals are great. They grip onto my shoes and the only time my feet come off the pedals is when I want them to, or when I hit a really large bump (in which case I often don't want my feet attached to the pedals). I would recommend these to anyone looking for good mountain bike pedals.

Great overall
I just ordered and received my second set of these, as I just bought a new bike and I feel like I'm at home on my brand new bike. The sealed bearings held up through a serious beating for over a year (through all four seasons) on my old bike, and I can't wait to see where these will take me. They're perfect with either Holdfast or Fyxation's own straps, which I'm trying on the new pair and loving so far.

Nice for what they are
They are a great platform pedal. After two months of use I noticed that some of the pegs have broken off so I might recommend getting the ones with replaceable pins. This pedal isn't bad for what it is though.

Great look, subpar quality
The pedals look great, are lightweight and seem structurally sound buuuuut... - the pegs deformed within a week of riding (daily short commute), - the adjusting bolt (on the outside of the pedal) deformed while tightening, - worst of all, the threading is subpar and I can hear the pedals shift everytime I put weight on them (so basically ever crank). I tried adjusting them numerous times and the metal clicking persists, which is either stripping the thread on the pedal or on the crank itself. I've tried 4 different pedals on this bike (a Surly Crosscheck) and all of them seat firmly and make no sound - these don't. For that price, I expected better.

Platform awesome
I ordered these hoping I would like them better than my cheapy pedals that came on my mountain bike. They are very well made. They look good, despite being covered in mud. They grip very well. I have more miles to put on them to decide long term, but, they are exactly what I was hoping to have.
