Durable and easy to install
I've waited a for a few rides before I gave these a review. Now that I've gotten about 20 or so rides in since I installed them, I have to say that they are absolutely great. They have been incredibly durable. I will say that I wear a size 13 shoe and the "large/X-Large" isn't as big as I hoped, but it is not uncomfortable or unusable; they do the job very well! I will note that I had intially put the straps on but they weren't the most comfortable, as I mentioned I've got somewhat large feet and with the straps on there it made the device a little tight and just a bit uncomfortable for my piece of mind while riding. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of the screws and bolts that come with these. Within the first week of riding with these I lost one screw/bolt and one was lose. Luckily I was in the bike shop having a tire replaced when my bike shop guy told me one was loose, he said it looked as though the screws/bolts may be too small. He was kind enough to give me new screws on both of the clips. Since then, I have not had a problem. So just know that the bolts/screws that come with them don't seem to want to stay on, at least with my experience on my Trek Wahoo bike. Other than that, I highly recommend these to anyone!

These met my expectations.
My recumbent trike came withWellgo MTB Pedals LU-998 9/16" Alloy/Steel Black which have Wellgo mini-clips attached. The clips were too small for my size 10.5 feet, and I was pedaling with my toes. I could have taken the clips off, but the thought of my foot sliding off the pedal and being sucked under the trike dissuaded me. I was glad to find out that larger clips were available. The Zefal toe clips have been on my pedals for a week. They do the job, and seem strong enough to last for a while. I like that they have two prongs on top, rather than one as seen in road bike clips, so the strap is held wider and my shoe slips in easily. Attaching the clips to the pedals was straightforward. Lacing the strap through the buckle took some thought, and I'm still not sure I have it right. It seems to me that pinching the clip at one end should free up the strap for quick adjustment, but it doesn't. Fortunately, once the straps are adjusted correctly it isn't an issue.

These are good ones as far as the cage apparatus and straps ...
I prefer the toe cages and have used quite a few. These are good ones as far as the cage apparatus and straps themselves. The reason I didn't give it five stars (and almost gave it 3) was because of the hardware. As an aside, the instruction sheet is written in small letters, so if you need help with installing that could be an issue. But as to the main point: the mounting bolt and nuts are flimsy. Three of the four of them fell off within about a week. My recommendation is that if you get these cages, take the bolts to a hardware store and buy a set of 5--mm locknuts to keep them in place. That'll run you about another $1.50. If this item came with locknuts I'd give it 5 stars.

Good product, if it fits your bike's pedals --- and your feet.
I like the design & look of these toe clips. However, I'm penalizing them in this rating because their mounting faceplate does not fit the mounting face of the stock pedals on my new mountain bike, a Novara Matador (REI). They also will not fit the pedals on two other street bikes which we own. I'm going to keep these toe clips and try to use them later if/when I replace the stock pedals. Update: I modified the mounting plate with a file, replaced the packaged bolts with some longer ones, & was able to install the clips on my pedals. However, my size 11 shoes would fit only about halfway into the toe clips, leaving about 3" of empty toe clip protruding in front of my foot. It seems to me that only a shoe with a pretty narrow toe box would fit smoothly into these toe clips, nor will they install properly on many of the OEM pedals that come installed on new bikes.

Good Product
These are really easy to install. Remove one of your reflectors on your pedals and install a couple screws. They are plastic, but look like they will hold up well. Probably not for the fancy competitive biker, but they worked well for my mountain bike needs. Getting a pull stroke (in addition to your push stroke) on your bike makes biking a lot more enjoyable. You can go longer, work different muscles, and get a great workout.

Good Clips
These clips are light and strong. My size 12.5 (US) running shoes fit easily. They will attach to most standard pedals. You likely have a reflector occupying the two holes the clips will use to bolt on. Toe clips take a fair amount of abuse. A lot of strain is put on the two bolts that hold them to the pedal. The ones that ship with the clips will work themselves loose at some point. Spend $2 at your local hardware store and replace the 10-32 x 1/2 machine screws with higher quality versions along with some #10 locking washers and you'll be all set.

Only Lasted 22 Years
I bought a set of these in 1990 when I bought my mountain bike. After many thousands of miles and replacing the pedals out from under them at least five times, I set the bike down hard during a below-zero Colorado January and one side of one clip snapped off after only 22 years of hard use! The picture of the product was exactly what I used to have, but what was delivered was slightly different. If the new ones break after less than 22 years I will be really put out and I'll be back here to update my review!

Great clips.
Been running these for around a month now and I like them. The straps and buckles are easy to use and are strong. I place a lot of upward pressure on then and there is no slipping from the buckle. The clip itself is plastic and very sturdy, but it didn't really need to be strong since the majority of the pressure is handled by the strap. Plastic is lightweight, which is great, but they're black which is really great. They are built like they should be more expensive.
