Works with other spin bikes too.
I love that this one threads all the way through with a bolt, all the other screw in pedals always end up going crooked on my spin bike. Such a simple but more effective design.

Works to put SPD on Echelon bike, but might be better with another SPD pedal.
I have an Echelon Connect Sport exercise bike that came with the flat and "clip" or toe trap pedals. I ride my main bike with SPD pedals and mountain bike shoes. My bike pedals are well worn in, and clip in/out easily no issues. These pedals are VERY difficult to clip into/out of. That wouldn't be a big deal, you'd just adjust tension like on any other SPD pedal.... BUT THESE DON'T HAVE ADJUSTABLE TENSION. I was shocked when I went to adjust tension and found that there was none. Also, the pedal platform itself is very big and bulky and heavy. Not sure if this would actually be needed to keep the same inertia in the exercise bike drivetrain, but they don't seem to need to be that heavy. These also thread all the way through the crank stem and secure with a nut on the other side. It would seem that unless you need a pedal that also has to straps on the other side, you'd be better served by a regular SPD pedal.

For whatever reason, the left pedal historically likes to squeak for the first couple few minutes.
Like the subject said - the left pedal (for me) historically squeaks for the first few minutes. I actually ordered this twice because I thought the first set was a dud, but the second set did the same squeaking on the left pedal. My recommendation is just ride with it squeaking for 5-10 minutes and it should go away - mine did anyways. So, I feel the rating is accurate because it's just a specifically weird annoyance. Other than that, if you know how to change a pedal on a bike, it's incredibly easy and quick to do with these pedals - if you don't, search for a 'how to' video and you'll figure it out. They give you a bit of grease as well for the bolts when you're putting them back on which is nice. So far so good on the set I've been using for a few months now. And now I have an accidental backup pair too because of the squeaking.

Perfect
It was a little difficult to take the nuts off to install, but once I did, it was perfect. Thank you.

FYI concerning the clips and cleats
This review is FYI for those new to cycling like myself or perhaps a bit confused. I assume you are in the same boat I’m in: you want to be able to connect to the pedals for a better experience riding. There’s two things you need to know: there’s the Clips and then there’s the Cleats. Cleats The cleats attach to the bottom of the cycling shoes you have or are going to buy. There are two kinds of cleats that I’ve found: the delta cleat and the SPD cleat. The delta cleat is the default for the peloton and the SPD cleat is the default for the echelon. This product DOES NOT INCLUDE the cleats. You’ll have to buy those (SPD cleats) separately. I hear Shimano makes a good SPD cleat but can be expensive. Also, check the shoes your going to buy. Some shoes already come with cleats. Clips The clips go on the actual pedals. Your cycling shoes with the cleats (SPD) will connect to the clips on the pedals. These pedals come INCLUDED with the SPD clips already attached (see photo). I was confused looking at the stock photo and the question as to whether the clip came with the pedals. They in fact do.

SPD Works Well
Cheaper than Walmart. I use with my SPD cleats and they work well. Have a plastic cage to use with regular shoes as well. Nice to have both since my wife doesn’t use SPD. Have some weight to them which help with maintaining momentum on the spin bike.

Works good
Just installed these on my Echelon Connect bike and did my first ride. Clipping in was difficult but don’t know if it’s the clips on the shoe or the bike that’s the problem. Hope with time it’s easier. But noticed a big difference riding. Was able to pull more. Making different muscles work. Worth the purchase.

Installed on connect boke
Clips were really hard to get out of, even after adjusting. Ended up returning and getting a different set.

Didnt work for my connect sport
We have a connect sport. Installation was easy and its clear these are authentic echelon pedals, however absolutely impossible to clip in. We had to return them. Maybe there is a way to loosen the clip? But no instructions or allenkey provided so I was not going to take my chances breaking this.

They are official echelon peddles
Same Factory peddles that you get with your bike, very happy!
