Worth the money!

I chose this specific one due to the great reviews & the bad luck with “litter box hide aways” in the past. The previous ones I’ve tried were a waste of my money, this one is perfect!! It’s not the largest one they offer, but it still a great size & takes a larger litter box. Was tricky at times to assemble, but not too bad. I highly recommend!

20 minute setup and fits the PetSafe ScoopFree!

I’ve changed cat boxes from the first time I purchased these boxes, so this review is about the JUMBO size I picked up recently to fit my ScoopFree automatic litter box. I didn’t think to start the timer until after I unboxed all the pieces, but from opening the parts bag through completed unit ready to install the cat box was less than 20 minutes (see timer screen cap). Also it fits the litter box so much better. The front entry isn’t lower than the box, so it gives the cat a much easier entry and exit. My other box had an entry 1” below the top of the cat box so it made a narrow top to bottom opening for my cats to get in and out, which I worried would make them not use the box. They got in and out fine, but this makes me much happier. Plus with the entry door being the same as the open to clean the door, it requires a smaller footprint than the side open chest style cover I bought previously that you had to have full swing for both doors to be able to remove the cat box from the interior of the box. Serious advantage in the small space I need to fit this huge box. Manufacturer says they’ve fixed the possible leak issues, but I’m not convinced yet, so I’m still using a plastic office chair mat to protect the carpet. All in all, still the best cover I’ve ever bought!!! I’ll be buying a second one for the other room soon! Original version review from YEARS ago below: ************** I love this product. I've had one of the other versions of this, but when I had a couple cats miss the box, their pee soaked into the particle board and nothing could get the smell out, so I ended up throwing it out. I love the windows at the top so the cat has fresh air, and if it's super stinky because I've forgotten to clean, it won't stay trapped inside and I will smell it and fix the issue. As for the negatives, I agree that the slots in the bottom that make it so pee could drop to your floor is an issue. My remedy is to put a potty pad under my cat box, so that anything that misses the box gets soaked up in the pad, and doesn't hit my floor. I own two of these, and I love them!

sturdy and well designed (brown small unit)

I was happy to see this arrive and assembly was quick and easy -props to the creators simply follow the steps and instructions, its easier with two people I would imagine, but at the time i did build it solo rather quickly to replace my own handmade wood unit (cats did not enjoy my unit...not sure what i did wrong) ) anyway the unit is a dark brown and fit will in my brown/wood themed room , its material is sturdy and easy to clean, i was impressed with care to details and its structure I purchased a cat box with a higher back/sides to avoid splash of cat litter in back , for my larger cats but its fit perfectly in the unit and is easy to clean (Pet Mate 42036 Arm & Hammer Large Sifting Litter Pan) it fits snug in unit with room in front (i made an approximation of this and it worked out so far) my cats did seem wary at 1st until my oldest used it and now the others follow suit, the gaps at top are nice so they can feel more secure & let light in, which was something I think mine lacked overall as furniture its solid and as a pet potty, it works well ,the combo is nicer then i expected my only annoyance was that amazon at the time only had the darker small wood unit in stock (or id wait 2-3 months???) or id have purchased the larger unit . but the small one seems to work well

Not Watertight!

I have a cat that likes to urinate over the edge of the litter box. Sigh...I don't know why. It's required me to try MANY different litter boxes to find one that she won't ruin the floor. I liked the sound of this one because it said it was non-absorbent- very important for me! I also liked that it had openings at the top so the light could come in. A little less like a box for my girls. Unfortunately, when putting it together I realized that the bottom slides into slots along the sides, leaving a way for urine to seep through the crack and into my rug. I fixed that by apoxying the entire outside edge once it was assembled. Good thing I did, cause I clean up urine off the floor of it a lot! Other bad thing, a standard litter box will NOT fit in it. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about. I've tried 3 different ones. It's just a tad too narrow. I had to buy disposable litter boxes to go inside it. They are the only ones I found that would fit. Which also turned out okay because that means I don't have to scrub it down every few months, I just throw it out and put in a new one. I also had to return the first shipment. It was cracked in many different places. The second one also had a piece cracked off, but it was a small piece where the top and sides fit together, so it didn't affect the usefulness of the box. Be prepared to need to return it for a replacement! The box it came in is not well packed to protect the pieces inside. Overall, once I got it put together and made the necessary adjustments to fit my cats' needs, it has worked out okay. Not as intrusive looking as some litter box covers, but not as perfect as I had hoped.

Extremely functional and looks great!

I live in a condo where space is at a premium. Fortunately, I have 2 bathrooms so the spare bathroom accommodates the cat litter box, but there's nothing worse than having a cat litter pan sitting out in the open when you have guests visit! I'd been looking for quite some time for a suitable enclosure to help conceal the litter box and was happy to find this on Amazon. The package arrived in a single, easy-to-carry box and wasn't overly heavy. I was extremely happy to discover that assembling the LitterLoo would be so simple -- no screwdriver required, it comes with thumb screws that you insert and turn with your fingers. I had the LitterLoo assembled in under 5 minutes. My existing cat litter pan fit easily inside with a bit of room to allow for the scooper to slide in, just at the front and to the side of the pan. The best thing about the LitterLoo is how it can double as a piece of furniture. In the case of my bathroom, I plan to put extra towels on top and perhaps some magazines, etc. But should I ever need to, the LitterLoo looks good enough to fit in anywhere in my condo. The price was a tad high, but overall I'm extremely happy with the purchase and have already recommended it to friends and family.

Holes in wrong spot, impossible to assemble.

Though well packaged, in the middle of the box were broken pieces obviously from the warehouse. I thought I would order replacement pieces and tried assembling part A and B. The holes were drilled in the wrong spot making the unit impossible to assemble. No apparent care or quality control from this manufacturer, and now I have to carry it to a post office to return.

Quite scratched up otherwise its lightweight and aesthetically pleasing.

I've only just opened the box and there are scratches on alot of the pieces! I've wiped them down just to see if it was maybe dust they they are still there. It was really well packaged, and lightweight. I have decided to still put this together because I really need something to hide the litter box. I contacted the company today. Hopefully I get sent some new unscratched pieces. If so I will change my review. See photos for scratched pieces and put together photo

Looks Great, Cats approve, Contains smell

This litter box worked out better than I hoped. It fits perfectly in the space tucked beside my desk. You can't even tell that it's a litter box unless you look closely. I have 3 cats and they all use it just fine. It contains the smell very well. Very happy with this purchase.

Camouflage the litter box

As our cats are aging they don't always like to go downstairs to the litter boxes. This product enables us to have a box upstairs hidden from view. It is plastic so cleans much more easily than a wooden box. It was easy to put together as well.
