Very cool litter box, and we've been through many????

The size of it is fantastic and the girls can spin around in it and do their business. Holds lot of the Febreeze litter and the enclosed space for privacy is awesome. Guests don't see poop in the thing when the girls have to go and that's a plus! The only problem I can see is the step up into it. Being the owner of an elderly diabetic cat with arthritis, the step into it would be too high (roughly 7 inches). But for the girls it's fantastic. Another issue I noticed initially with the youngest is that it looked too much like the cat carrier to her which reminded her of going to the vet..???? Crash took to it almost immediately (shes 20) so once the rest of the guys realized nothing horrible was going on in there and no one was going anywhere strange it took on! Not sure how much the carbon filter is working... anyone who has cats knows a stinky poop after some soft wet is going to be horrible no matter what.???? Price went up since I purchased, but I think it's an awesome buy. Problems we had with boxes before were kicking litter out of the box after using, strange unfamiliar plastic smells, not large enough for these guys (if you have a Maine Coon get the XL), & enough litter capacity for true odor. control. The girls don't really like the door. Took it off and placed it on top of the box, no problem. I recommend this box highly, with the exception of special needs cats who require lower entry boxes.

Great for large cats or multi-cat households.

I had purchased some sifter type litter boxes hoping that it would make keeping the litter clean easier. Big mistake in our household which led us to this litter box. The advantages that it had that others did not were 1) a large flat floor area. Often the floor area is impinged upon by an excessive amount of sloped sides which is a problem if you have a cat that likes to dig a lot or deeply. 2) The back of the base is taller then the front. A definite plus if you have a cat that likes to pee up against the sides or while standing up. 3) A relatively tall lid with a handle for one handed removal as well as a very large opening with double hinged door. I knew when I bought it that I would not likely leave the swinging door closed but the same feature that allows for reasonably easy cleaning also creates a wonderful large opening when the door is completely folded back. The cats like it regardless of size of cat. They don't get claustrophobic or scared of the swinging door but it still leaves little opportunity for accidents or litter outside of the box. 4) The way the lid and the bottom come together is well thought out. There is a little lip around the entire box so that they come together similar to ship lap which is useful in keeping everything inside the box (litter, odor, pee) no matter what your cats habits are. There is also a thin, flat bit on the lid at the door opening that helps to keep litter in the box especially if you have a cat that likes to stand at the door and shovel litter out. Obviously it will not prevent this entirely but it does discourage it a lot by making it harder. 5) This particular box is quite larger compared to most boxes. They do have a regular sized version which is a little smaller but probably good for single cat households. I like the larger size because I have found that although cats may like caves, they don't necessarily want small caves and especially in a litter box where they need sufficient room to turn around, dig, etc bigger is better. I don't want my cat feeling that the litter box is uncomfortable to use at all. To anyone who complains about the handle not being sturdy enough or how the locking mechanism works: The handle is not for carrying the box at all much less one full of litter. It is for one handed, easy removal of the lid. The locking mechanism is always a little so-so on litter boxes with lids. Probably because all of it is plastic. Do I wish someone would come up with one that is a little more user friendly while still being economical....of course, but until then a tip would be to make sure all the latches are in the open position. Place the lid on the bottom making sure that it is completely seated. This step is important regardless the brand or way these two connect as it is very easy to think it is completely seated when it is not. Then place one hand on the top of the lid immediately over the lock you intend to engage. Place a little bit of weight on this spot and use your other hand to engage the lock. Repeat for all four locks. If a section of the lid is not completely seated, it is literally impossible to get the locks to hold the lid to the bottom. If you find that the lock is not holding the lid to the bottom, recheck that the lid is completely down. If some of the locks engaged properly but one lock or one side didn't then do not undo the ones that did, try making sure the problem lock(s) are open and shimmying the top a little until it seats down properly and then try locking them again. Putting a little weight above helps to keep everything lined up and in the correct position to lock. I hope that this helps.

Good quality and just what I wanted but my kitties dislike it. Perhaps my kitties are a little too tall to find the lid acceptable. They would poop inside and pee outside. Removed the lid and the kitties are happy

So good I bought it twice.

I love this box. I bought a second one when we got our rescue cat, and he hated the door being closed. Easy fix, lift the flap. My only complaint is that the rounded corners can make scooping a little hard, but I think that will be the case in any litter you get. I also wish it had some kind of lip for easy pouring when it comes time to replace the litter. But overall, great litter box.

Achtung kleines spar Modell

Es gibt 2 Modelle wobei dieses das minderwertige ist. Erkennen kann man es nur an dem Verschluss der Abdeckung. Das erste und bessere hat 4 Verschlüsse und eine gute Materialstärke was es ermöglicht auch das befühlte Klo am oberen Griff zu bewegen. Dieses hier hat nur 2 Verschlüsse und eine geringere Materialstärke. Es ist leichter aber auch nicht besonders stabil. Auf dem Bild auch gut zu erkennen das alte Modell ist größer

Die Größe macht was her! + kl. Update

Endlich ein Katzenklo, was eine vernünftige Größe für den beliebten und betagten Stubentiger bietet. Die Reinigung ist dank der großen Vorderklappe problemlos! Füllmenge ist schon ordentlich. Auch positiv, das Klo wurde sofort akzeptiert! Klare Empfehlung von mir Kleines Update Nun 1,5 Jahre später mag die alte Katzendame immer noch dieses geräumige Katzenklo. Der Zustand ist noch immer gut und um diesen zu erhalten bedarf es nur einer normalen Pflege. Meine Empfehlung hier zu ist das Streu eines Discounters beginnend und endend mit L_ _ l.

Fonctionnelle et résistante

Ce bac est plein de fonctionnalités bien pensées que l'ont voit rarement sur des produits de cette gamme: - La porte, large et transparente, offre de la luminosité et du confort pour que le chat y rentre - le bac est profond et empeche la litiere d'etre trop proche du bord du bac, limite les odeurs. - Les loquets de sécurité pour verrouiller le couvercle à la base sont bien pensés et permettent de déplacer le bac facilement. (Je déplace souvent le bac entre 2 maisons). - Il est possible de soulever et rabattre la porte sur le toit (avec toute la partie bleue du toit) afin d'avoir un accès facile et large à la litiere (pratique pour nettoyer les déchets) - une large poignée sur le toit - une grande zone de filtre à charbon qui fait ses preuves. Pas d'odeurs. Seul inconvénient à prendre en compte surtout si vous avez de petits chats: La porte est assez haute et il sera plus difficile pour un chaton/ petit chat d'entrer dans le bac. Très bon produit.

Lovely Litter Tray

Bought this cat litter due to previous tray was an open tray and with living in smaller property now I notice strong urine smells and fecal smells even more. Since buying this tray it has made a difference, still can get some smells but not as bad as before did not expect miracles but smells have reduce dramatically however I do clean the tray twice in one week did this previously. Love the colour of the tray, delivery was great no issues delivered by DPD (very good delivery company) , there was no damage to the tray either, very good size, easy to put together, easy to clean and love that you can pull the flap back to be able to scoop out any fecal matter. It also has reduced the amount of litter that ends up on the floor when the cat uses it but also bought a litter mat to put at the front of the litter tray which also helps. Was worth £18 has a very sterdey plastic that has been used for this tray.

This provided 4 years of privacy and roomy toilet space

I have used this litter tray (my cat rather) for about 4 years. It has held up fairly well, but now it is time to update for a new one. My experience (or my cat's) with it has been good. It is quite spacious, and provides space to do your business. Control of odours is average, nothing groundbreaking, but I think it is mostly the job of the actual litter rather than the litter box. The flip door does the job, and shuts fine. I had to design a small "grid" to protect the top filter, because Mandu (the cat) kept on biting it and pulling it out. It if fairly easy to clean, but that "lip" in the lid (where you can attach a plastic bag when emptying the litter) is a bit of a pain, and I would personally like to see it gone, because it is not used that much, and provides potential extra "sharp" edges, and extra edges to clean. The hood clips are a bit flimsy, and you have to be careful and gently when moving the tray by the handle (if litter is in it), so they don't unclip or even break. But I do not move the litter box around too much anyway. If space is a feature you are after, then this is good. But I decided to upgrade for the Purrshire Rattan Effect Cat Litter Pan, which I bought on sale for about the same price, and which seems as big, and looks nicer (to me)
