Easy Replacement

I bought the AlcoMate AL7000 precisely because it was the only one that enabled you to replace the sensor yourself. I used this to replace my old sensor, and it was simple. Open the access door, pull the old one straight out (no tools needed) and snap the new one in. Now the calibration warning is gone from the device, and it works great. Update: After only about 3 months, I got a CAL warning. I ordered another one, hoping the first was just defective. The one that came in my AlcoMate lasted about a year.

Past expiration date.

Received the sensor with a marked expiration date over a month past. Module only has a one year life span for accuracy.

It's the correct module.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I removed my current module and compared it with the Amazon and mfgr photos and it is the same, so I ordered and received next day, plugged it in and it works. Couldn't ask for more.

Works as described

I accidentally dropped the AL7000 device and it started showing "Err2". Customer support told me that replacing the sensor would fix it since it is damaged. As they told the error went away after replacing the sensor.

Easy to swap out, but haven't tested it against police breathalyzer

Seems to work great. Easy to swap out, no sweat. However, I can't attest to how accurate it is simply because I haven't had to blow for a cop before. I can say that it's much more consistent than Police units. Those can fluctuate as much as .03% within 5 minutes. That's the difference between you going to jail and not! YIKES!!

Easy and Accurate

Such a quick and easy way to make sure your breathalyzer is accurate. I purchased the AlcoMate AL7000 two years ago, recently took it out of retirement and found it was not giving accurate readings. Ordered this sensor module, which arrived within 24 hours. In less than a minute, I opened the sensor door, pulled the old sensor out and put the new one in. It works great, just like brand new. No concerns if the results are correct anymore. Should have ordered this sooner.

I can't really review the item as this sensor comes in 2 differant type of fittings (The white part) this one didn't fit my breatheliser But that was my fault All I am saying if you order this item make sure the white fitting is the same as the one you are replacing
