Great for the money

I bought three of these for use with different people groups and they work great. My one complaint is the maching takes about thirty seconds to calibrate every time you turn it on. It is definately worth the money if you want to know if someone has been drinking or if you want to know your BAL.

Tricky at first; fun thereafter - directions were unclear but once you realized that this needed to be "reset" for 20 some seconds it was fun. I would not suggest using this to determine your legal sobriety as the measurements are not perfect.

After three beers I blow a 0.00....?

After following the directions to the letter I waited for my results to display---thinking that I was well over the limit since I had just polished off half a six pack. I would never drive on three beers anyway, but I wanted to see how my light 160lb body handled three brewskies. Apparently I had plenty of room for more! The readout said 0.00 as though I hadn't touched a drop. Amazing! I wondered how many I would have to drink just to register a number, any number. Quite a lot I found out later. But even then I failed to reach anywhere near the legal limit according to the AlcoMate. Maybe I just got a bad one. But then again, maybe I should go join a drinking contest.

Reliable and easy to use

This is certified for use by law enforcement, which I found convincing. It has a single button. You press it, wait 30 or so seconds while it warms up, then when it's ready, you blow into it for 3 seconds and it gives you an accurate BAC. Great deal, I think.

Works as described and handy if you have a blow and go on your vehicle.

It's Ok

This product works okay. The biggest problem I have with it is that you have to wait 20 minutes without drinking or eating anything before you can try a reading. Also, it doesn't seem to be too accurate. The readings have changed a lot just within minutes. Don't trust this to get you through a check point.
