4 stars, but not for me
This is a pretty nice cot/air mattress I have used a number of times now on car camping excursions. I've given it 4 stars as I think it works as advertised, but I've decided it's not me. On the plus side, its sturdy and a nice air mattress to sleep on just as you'd think from looking at the pictures and reading reviews. There are a few reasons I've decided to replace it. 1) It is very difficult to pack back into the supplied bag. The air mattress is separate from the cots frame and zipper fabric outer holder. I've practiced at home, I've used this a lot out car camping, I still rarely manage to get it back into the bag on the first try and at this point pretty much say "close enough" where I can't zip the bag fully and just chuck it in the car and leave it that way. 2) The battery powered pump is weak and eats up the batteries quick. I can't say that this the fault of this particular pump, I'd suspect any battery powered pump like this isn't great. I gave up on it and bought a manual pump and use it instead, it's faster, and you'll want something in addition to the battery pump to finish getting it firm on setup (or top off if using it for an extended period) anyway. 3) It is not good in cold. You're sleeping on a thin air mattress with a very thin fabric covering, with cold air within and below you. 4) The zippered fabric you insert the air mattress into is attached to the cot. There's no detaching it and throwing it in the washing machine for spills or the general dirt stains and the like you're going to get on it. 5) Setup and tear down time. At this point I generally take out my not-completely packed from last use cot out, set aside the battery pump I never use but still pack with it, and then spend awhile manually pumping it up. On departure, I do my best to get as much air out of the mattress as possible by laying/rolling on it while it's still on the cot frame, pull it out, then start rolling/packing it to try and get every little last bit of air out in hopes this is the 1 out of 5 times I manage to get it fully packed into the bag on first attempt. Initially, I would then spend considerable time failing and repacking until eventually I could pull the zipper with force around the whole package with great satisfaction, I finally managed it, only to notice an hour had gone by. Even giving up packing it well, it still takes time to mess with, so no fault of coleman's here, just not for me.

The under bed storage though!!
I’ve used this at festivals a few times a year for 6 years now and it’s been great! I love that it’s raised up off the ground. Best part: under bed storage!!!! So nice to put my bins under the bed and make more room in my tent. It wasn’t until recently that the air mattress didn’t hold air. I’d say that’s pretty good. It’s been to burning man and many other festivals. The cot was a little awkward at first to set up and take down, but I got the hang of it. If you fold the mattress so it’s about the length of the cot, it will fit easily in the bag, with the pump stored between the legs of the cot. My only complaint is the cot is a bit squeaky. It must be the fabric on the metal that does it. It makes noise with every toss and turn. Other than that it’s been fantastic!!

This is the most AMAZING camping bed I've ever witnessed
This is the most AMAZING camping bed I've ever witnessed, and I've camped my entire life. Seriously. I've backpacked. I've glamped. I've gone to music festivals, art festivals, burning man regionals... I've used/witnessed/borrowed/begged/not-quite-stolen everything under the sun/moon/stars. This beats all of them. Why, you ask? Not only is it up off of the ground, so my 36 year old disabled ass doesn't have to cry every time I get in and out of my sleeping bag, my suitcase FITS UNDERNEATH THE BED. What?!?!?! Under bed storage. Bam! Then, there's the cot itself. Yeah, there's a bar running down the middle. That's for extra support. Not a huge deal for me, because I'm 5'4 and even though I weigh an impressive 213 for my height, I fit seamlessly into the little pocket between the rods. Mmmmmmnnnn... comfy. And all this is without even adding in the INCLUDED AIR MATTRESS. WHAT?!?!?!??! There's an included air mattress?????? Yep. But... won't that just fall off of the cot? Or Fail like Every Other Air Mattress and Ruin the Most Awesome Cot FOREVER?????? That's where the Genius of Coleman comes in, kids. See, it's not built in like some Cots with Air Mattresses you'll see out there. Coleman did it the smart way. They added a pocket made out of super soft microfiber material that feels like your favorite Grandmammy's sheets and zippers open to slide the PREMIUM COLEMAN AIR MATTRESS WITH DOUBLE AIR LOCK MAGICALNESS inside and then you ZIPPER IT SHUT AGAIN, keeping the double zippers close to the air lock just in case you'd like to, I don't know, adjust the firmness of your mattress later on in your stay because IT DOES NOT LEAK (much) ((at least, not after the first night. that's any mattress, though)). But wait. There's more. HOW CAN THERE POSSIBLY BE MORE?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! YOU'VE ALREADY GIVEN US SO MUCH, COLEMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MotherLoving Side Tables, Batman. They snap on right where you want them. With holes for all of your beverage holding needs. And just enough room for a kindle, a phone, and an adult beverage. I would know. And you know what else I know? My survival kit slid Right Underneath the Table! BAM!! More floorspace!! You have no idea how life changing this bed has been for me. And I've only gotten to take it on one trip (so far). I'm taking it out again next week. I'm already excited about it.

Good, but some design issues
Bought these for Grandmas house. Loved how compact they unit was, problem is when you go to store it. The air mattress does not easily fold into the frame, to go back into the bag. The kids pinched the air mattress and created a small hole that we were unable to patch when putting it into bag. Secondly the unit squeaked everything the kids moved. I fixed this by placing a blanket over frame then placed mattress on top.

Yes!
Super happy with this! My back didn't hurt in the morning, my husband getting in and out of bed didn't make me move toward him like our blow up mattress did. The cot was super nice and really enjoyed the padding the air mattress gave. Might switch to a foam topper later so we don't have to worry about airing it up, but I am definitely happy with this purchase!

Stays inflated
So far so good. Remains inflated throughout the night. The cover keeps the bed on the cot with no shifting. I'm very happy with this purchase. I have used it as a guest bed twice now, with everyone please with the bed.

Import tax and duty nightmare
Happy with cot bed and mattress but had issues with import taxes. Resolved EVENTUALLY by Amazon International department. £9 out of pocket overall. Total cost ended up being £260, £210 to me... Be AWARE!

Four Strikes Against Coleman
This bed has four major issues: 1. The frame doesn’t lock, so it moves up and down when you get on, off, or move around. This is both annoying and uncomfortable. 2. Related to point #1, the feet are made of hard plastic, so it slides around. Not safe, especially if you’re using it at home on laminate or hardwood. The feet should be coated with soft rubber for stability. 3. The mattress surface is very uneven due to the multiple sunken “coils”. We tried a memory foam mattress topper we had in the closet, but it only helped a bit. 4. The mattress does not have a velvet coating on top like most air mattresses. This causes it to slide around inside the cloth liner it slips into on the top of the frame. *Bonus Flaw: The bar that runs down the centre of the mattress. There has to be some way around this. Very uncomfortable. Really, Coleman? This is the best you could come up with? Highly NOT recommended.

Have to agree with Jason
The review "Four Strikes Against Coleman" hit all of the major points, which we would like to echo entirely. We hate this cot. We've endured it for a few years, but only because we haven't found anything else. The air mattress got a hole in it the first year, so we have been buying mattress toppers and air pads and basically messing around with all sorts of ideas to try and make it more comfortable, to no avail. My husband can't stand the bar down the middle. It's squeaky, it moves around, the feet are sharp so be careful with your tent floor material, and it tilts up in the middle so you feel like you're sleeping bent on a hill, even when we had the air mattress inflated. Even my 6 year old daughter and my 7 year old niece complain about their backs hurting after sleeping on it for a single night. Considering they'll sleep on the hardwood floor with a towel if you let them, that's really saying something.

Close to a real bed .... but only close
The review "Four Strikes Against Coleman" and the other review that referenced that one, are both correct, with the following notes: 1. There is no issue with the 'centre bar' interfering with sleep, you cannot feel it if you properly inflate the bed 2. Once you inflate the bed, you need to 'let it stretch' (possibly after sleeping on it for one night!). It will be considerably saggy and soft after that. You will need to re-inflate it with more air for it to become firm. Then it should hold it's firmness indefinitely. 3. This bed makes a LOT of squeaking and crunching noise. Every time you move it squeaks. I read another review about someone who put felt tape over some joints but that's time consuming and this is something that should be resolved by the manufacturer. 4. You can use the air mattress alone, without the frame. The frame comes with a nylon enclosure that the air mattress zips into. Overall I would recommend this bed with the notes above kept in mind.
