Hamster loves it

My Syrian hamster likes this and fits perfectly even through the window (he’s a big boy). It came with this glue mark on it though.

I have a pair of pygmy possums that like to have a hideout the fabric hideouts get a little smelly for them they seem to love this product.

Our chinchillas love it

Our chinchillas not only love to sleep in the hut, it apparently tastes REALLY good, as evidence from their loud 3am chomping. LOL

Much smaller than expected.

These were supposed to be "extra large" but they barely fit a small dwarf rabbit. My small rabbit doesn't like it because it's very tight. Large rabbit can't use it.

Medium is Pretty Small

It would have been great for mice or smaller rodents, but it was much too small for our Dumbo rats.

Piece missing

At first, I was going to just accept it, but the sharp edge concerns me. It is right at eye level for my parrot. I can't send it back now, she has been using it for about a week. I would really appreciate a replacement.

Hamster house is great.

Hamster got stuck and could have died.

I bought this for my Syrian hamster. She decided to enter the get-a-way though the little peep hole or round window beside the entrance. She got stuck mid-way and could not get free for the longest time. She struggled and I also did not know how to free her. She was in obvious pain and distress and her eyes bulged. I based my purchase on the dimensions listed as well as some of the product reviews of previous customers. "perfect for a rat" , "perfect for my Syrian" . My Syrian could have passed away. She finally broke herself free after giving my hand a good bite. She is now limping. This get-a-way is going away - in the trash. I am now monitoring my hamster before bringing her to a vet. If you have a Syrian I would recommend that you do not purchase this.

Not for large rabbits! Great hide for small to medium animal.

This product is great for guinea pigs, rats, and small to medium sized rabbits. If you have a large rabbit like a Zealand or a giant cross with Zealand than no it will not fit! My female rabbit fits this perfectly she is a lop eared rabbit of medium size. The walls of the wood is 3/8 thick and fairly durable. My rabbit sits on top of it with no issues and likes run inside when she wants to hide from me. I got this to keep her from trying to dig out of her cage as she had no where to hide this helped that issue as well.

NOT for rats!

It worked great for my pet rats at the start, when they were smaller. But they got bigger, and one ended up stuck in the little window. It was a very stressful morning for me and my rat. I would NOT recommend this for rats. This hut is no longer in their cage.
