The best cat window perch ever!

I have bought and returned at least half a dozen cat window perches and this is the best one ever! I had the nice wooden one with strong suction cups that worked well into my kitten grew up to be a 13 lb cat & after it fell and bonked him on the head time after time (I tried to readjust it), my cat became afraid of it because it was so unstable. This one sits lower on the window but it comes with screws (and adhesive Velcro but I wanted to make sure it was secure). At first my cat refused to sit on it till I tricked him with treats (prob traumatized by the other one I’ve tested) but once I got him on it he was hooked and wouldn’t come off. Good quality, well built and designed. Enough cushions with removable top layer and extra padding for the sides. It even looks good and so easy to install! Highly recommend…

My cats love it!

I actually got this to attach to a little shelf in the garage that my gorgeous three legged cat always wanted up on but couldn't balance on very well. She was trying to jump up on it before I even finished attaching it she loves it! My other cats love it too and they all take turns using it. I will definitely purchase again for a windowsill. I compared a lot of window perches before I picked this one. It's the only one I found with a raised edge (I rotated the cover so the raised edge is on the outside) which makes the cats feel much more secure to nap on it, and they nap on it all of the time.

An excellent decision

This is the second kitty window perch I have owned. I had the first for many years and my cats loved it. The cover finally wore out after about ... 10 years or of constant use - by more than one kitty. It was the desired spot, so who got there first of our three kitties was always the game. I was going to make a new cover as the base was as good as new, but for the price of a whole new window seat and cover, it didn’t make sense to go to all the effort. This one also has a really nice zippered removable bolster and so It’s really way more complicated than I thought ... my old one didn’t have the bolster - it’s a really nice addition. I thought though I might want to change things up this time and go with a different type of window seat. There are some nice sleek looking ones now with really clean lines and metal braces. After looking at the reviews however and the photos of how the other ones were so cheaply made and the issues people were having, I decided to stay with what was tried and true for us. Also the others definitely didn’t seem as sturdy ...plus, I then noticed there were many nice new design choices in the covers of the type we had (as I mentioned my other was was designed for 10 years ago). The first one we had years.ago, we mounted with the provided Velcro strips to adhere it to the window sill. It worked great for many years and it even was in a really sunny window. It does leave a bit of residue after taking it down - but for the many years of enjoyment it provided that was a small price to pay. This time however, I decided to screw it in as I knew the holes would be easy enough to fill and paint at whatever point it would be taken down . I’m really glad I stayed with this one as it’s is so very sturdy and comfy and now that I see it in person I really like it. I have no doubt this one one will last for many years to come as well. It’s nicely padded and the cover is nice and soft. Just an added note: My kitty is 19 years old or so (he found us and was fully grown, so we don’t know exactly but he has been with us for 18 years) He was quite emaciated and his fur was just short and Scraggly - he was starving and suffering from extreme malnutrition. He was not neutered and so had quite the large head tomcat look. He also was used to only being outside, so he lived at night in our garage (his pick not mine) I wanted him to live in our house - he would yowl until he was let outside. He got in a terrible fight one night - but still drug himself back to our house. The vet thought from his injuries, he managed to survive a coyote attack. We got him neutered then at this point along with getting him patched up from the attack (I know ....poor guy!). He didn’t have a choice now - while recuperating he had to get used to us and stay inside. (It wasn’t an easy road but if he wanted to live here I had to be able to protect him - our cats are indoor cats) We were shocked ... after about 6 months of eating good food his coat began to change and grow in - turned out he looks like a beautiful Russian Blue ....his coat is gorgeous and he is pure sweetness (I will say there was a lot of time and patience involved) I put that last part in about our cat as I hope people take his life story and are heartened and encouraged to take on sometimes seemingly impossible cases with animals that can have wonderful amazing and surprising outcomes.

Planning to buy 4 more! Deluxe Kitty Sill

I Love it!!! KiKi, my kitty does too! K&H Pet Products Deluxe Kitty Sill with Removable Bolster Tan/Leopard Print Unheated - 14 X 24 Inches. Installed on a floor to ceiling window. Installation Tips- Make sure the RIM on the plastic is facing up like the edge of a cookie sheet so it holds the egg crate foam in place AND makes the holes for the screws closer to the window sill. Make sure you have the screw holes over the window sill before you snap on the support brackets or you will need to rotate it around half way so they are on the sill and not in the part hanging off the sill. I used the 3 provided screws to secure it. If you use the Adhesive strips do not let your pet use it for 24 hours so the adhesive can BOND to the sill as stated in the instructions. I even recommend setting a weight on the bed on top of the strips to apply pressure. The support brackets snap in place. Put them in the slot that aligns the bed level on your window yet will touch the wall under the bed to support it, then SLIDE them to lock in place. They can easily be removed to adjust by sliding them the other way until it unlocks. I put the bolster pad on the outside edge away from the window to help her not fall off. The padding has a slight chemical smell at first from the foam, but it disappeared quickly. I let my curtains drape around it like a princess bed. Looks great! She gently pulls the curtain back and steps into the bed, loves her private little space! Has become her favorite relaxing spot! I'm ordering more for her other windows!

My cat LOVES his window bed!

Super easy install, cat loves it. Because I'm in a rental, I put small carpet squares between the wall and support arms to save the wall paint. Cat is now a regular Gladys Cravits keeping an eye on everything and everyone.

cats love it

there are no suction cups on this one..... it's velcro to window cell and stays firmly in place or it can be screwed to cell. I tried the velcro first and it is holding up perfect. 1st picture one of my 3 good cats 2nd picture my BAD cat and there is nothing gentle about him.... he pushes his luck and tries out everything. It has survived his destruction efforts without a scratch, after 2 months. So, I invested in another one for another window.

My girls love it!

My girls love it so much! Most days I can’t find them and it’s because they’re nestled in enjoying the window. At previous homes they always had big window ledges to lay on and in this house they didn’t. This was the perfect solution and they seem much happier now that they can watch outside all day again!

Very good, but could be great

Perfect size for my large 20lb cat. I'm only using the velcro and it is sturdy. Was very easy to put together. The only bad part about this product is that the base is cheap plastic and barely has any padding. I added a towel in between the padding and plastic base. It would be nicer if the cover was plain instead of the cat print. I might sew my own cover. Good product but so expensive for what it is. Should be priced at like $35.

Easy to set up and seems sturdy!

Set this up in just a few minutes. I really appreciate the option to velcro it to my window as I need to remove it to adjust my futon. I also love that I can unzip the little border/cushion that fits around the edge since it blocks access to my small window. It's quite large (the cat in my picture is small to average sized). My other cat is much bigger (taller and longer) and he also has plenty of room. Overall I love this! Very happy.

Cats love it!

Easy to assemble and install. Just be sure of placement before attaching to sill because the glue of the velcro strip really grabs and holds. Also be aware that when the time comes that you decide to remove or relocate, pulling the velcro strip off the window ledge will most likely remove some paint too! The velcro is strong, a good thing. The cats love their perch. I haven't removed and laundered the cover yet so I can't comment on that.
