Our cats LOVE hanging in this hammock
We thought our cats might be afraid of getting in to a hammock, but after they tried it the first time, they were hooked. Sometimes they lay on their backs, their back legs sticking straight up, and their front legs hanging out the sides, just like a person would lay. They love to snuggle down in them, and these hammocks have become their favorite bird watching spot. Simple to install, and will give your cats hours of lounging pleasure.

I love this hammock! I have had three for 3 years!
I have three of these hammocks. I have had them for three years. I will be buying another shortly. I did replace the hooks, but after the first one I knew they weren’t sturdy. I use Spring loaded D shaped carabiners on all four sides and they work wonderfully. All of my cats are adults and they weigh from 10-25 pounds.

Works great for awhile... metal attachments aren't sturdy
I've bought several of these. They fit great in cat condos which I use to foster kittens that need to be "quarantined." I've not had a kitten who hasn't love relaxing on the hammock. Unfortunately, I have two qualms with this product: 1) Durability. Because I foster these needs to be sturdy because they are heavily used. In between litters (or more frequently) I need to wash/ bleach these. I've not figured out how to take the metal attachments off (or if that is even possible), so I def can't dry these. I air dry them. I've had several times where the metal attachments break off while the kittens are using them. KITTENS (so under 3lbs). 2) They definitely lose their softness/ collect cat hair. So after all the washing and stuff they aren't soft anymore or really plush. The kittens don't seem to mind but getting the cat hair out of the fibers is tedious.

This is a hammock specifically designed to go in the Prevue kennel I bought. But, I think you can get a better hammock comparative in price that is more ample and offers sturdier hanging capabilities. Had one of the hooks come off this hammock and scrapped that one. It did not have a kitty laying in it at the time but the cats were jumping from platforms to hammocks etc..getting situated. And cats will do that so I am a little leary of this hammock.

Kittens loved it, but clip broke off within a month or so
Two of these came with the Pervue Cat Home that I ordered and I purchased an additional one to have on hand for when I wash the others. The clips seemed sturdy enough, but within a month or so one clip broke on two of the hammocks. It simply snapped in half while the kitten was in them. The kittens were around 5 pounds at the time. So far the third hammock is holding up. The kittens love the hammocks and now fight over the remaining one for a nap! I haven't contacted the company yet, but plan to see if they will replace them or at least a reduced price on replacements. I expected them to last much longer!

I bought this hammock for my chinchillas and they loved it! A lot of comments saying it isnt sturdy, but it is very sturdy and the straps are thick. Totally recommend.

Yes and No
The hammock itself holds up nicely to washing. The clips break easily. But we use carabiner clips to hold the broken corners. I really hope they upgrade the clips.
