Detachable handle does not secure to the fish basket securely

Detachable handle does not secure to the fish basket securely. No instructions as to how to attach the handle came with the item. I had to contact the manufacturer for instructions. Although they responded quickly, the instructions provided did not match the item I bought. Apparently they understand that there is a problem and are making design changes. Pretty disappointed in the current design of the detachable handle.

Non stick fish grill

True to the advertising, it does not stick. However it is difficult to attach and detach the removable handle. It is also difficult to open to retrieve the fish. Also, the removable handle is not grill proof. It melted where it touched the hot grill. I do like the non stick feature and the smaller size fits well on a cookie sheet to transport to and from the grill.

Happy Grilling!

After looking at quite a few of the grilling baskets I settled on this one. It is great quality, very easy to use, and even though a few reviewers mentioned that the handle was hard to get off and on we didn't think so. We bought it to specifically grill veggies on the outdoor grill so when I saw that it adjusted to a fairly small size I thought it would be perfect. It has a minor downfall in that quest - one side of the basket is horizontal wires but if you flip it to cook both sides the other side of the basket is vertical wires. As you can imagine this is not a good thing for slender items like asparagus or carrots and the like as they tend to fall out once the basket is flipped. With that said, we will still continue to use it, like I mentioned it is a great quality basket, good sturdy handle, and will be useful for not so "slim" things.

Smart Design

Removable basket handle lets you close the top of the gas grill and get better control of the cooking temperature while using less gas. The top of the grill basket comes off for easy loading and cleaning. And the wire top of the grill basket mounts into several different vertical slots, so iI firmly holds (and you can safely flip) items of different thicknesses. Holds five decent-sized hamburgers. My original wire basket top suffered a broken weld after three uses and Onward Mfg promptly replaced the entire grill basket when I contacted them. I've held back one star because this is "hand wash only" and will begin to rust as the coating eventually erodes. I'd pay more for a stainless steel version that would stand up to a dishwasher and some hard scrubbing. Grilling can be a grubby business.

grill rotisserie tumble basket

I was happy to find one of these still available. It was a discontinued accessory by the grill manufacturer. Works great! Haven't used it for chicken or ribs yet, but I'm sure it will perform fine. I use it for fire-roasted vegetables. Even when your're cooking in the kitchen, it makes a great "second-stove" without using the oven in the summer in an already hot kitchen. The bars of the basket are about a half inch apart, so vegetables need to be cut in large chunks. You can use whole garlic cloves and get away with it. My favorite is red and green sweet bell peppers, sweet onion, carrot and small baby potatoes in olive oil, liberally seasoned with coarse salt and fresh fround pepper. If you own a rotisserie, you need one of these. They are inexpensive and easy to clean.

Great adjustable basket

This is the best grill basket out there. It has a great height adjustment mechanism. You can position the top lid into any of 3 slots on the non-handle side of the lower basket wall. You can then position the top basket handle side into any of the 3 slots on the handle side of the lower basket wall. You can use different heights which allows for a "canted" positioning of the top basket (when you have different thicknesses of food to grill). The top rack is somewhat flexible. The 3 positions allow you to hold food from about 1/2 inch to about 2 inches tall. The basket without the handle fits nicely into a Medium Green Egg. Yes, the handle as shipped has a slip piece that is hard to use, especially if you are trying to remove/replace it when hot. However, I just removed that slip piece and the handle then just hooks onto the basket. The handle, without the slip ring works ok to lift the basket, then I just use tongs to flip it over.

Okay, but does rust.

Size and design is good. But the sliding clip for holding the grill closed does easily slip out of position sometimes. It's a bit annoying. The one thing that's really not okay is the quality of the coating on the metal. I does rust. I wish it was stainless steel.

Hoping for easy handling. Very difficult to close and difficult to clean

Used it mainly for BBQ use to bake fish. No positive comments on this product. Will never purchase again
