3 weight vest comparison: Tone Fitness, CFFIT, MIR I'm on day 3 of the pink model, 10lbs heavier than the blue one. As some of you know, I wore each of my children in carriers—even tandem until the combined weight was 50% my body weight (at which time I decided that that was fine for short term fitness, bad for me long term). Then September 2015, and my workout partners were both in school. For Christmas that year, we bought the 30lb MIR vest. The difference between lifting 30-40lbs of child with 2 hands vs 1? Well, I couldn't easily do it. Then I looked at myself in the mirror—were I blonde and hazel eyed, like my youngest, no problem! Dark hair, eyes, and a non-European immigrant mother myself? Let's just say that these vests have pockets to insert the weights—similar to the ones that terrorists use. Since I'm tested for bomb making residue 100% of the time at the airports—randomly, of course—not a good vest for me. I kept it because mailing 30+lbs back would cost $50. Maybe my daughter can use it when she gets older? Or my spouse, even though it's shaped for a female? It was comfortable, but it took 25 minutes to put on and adjust. It's still collecting dust in our bedroom. (note: now that I have a nearly 40lb son I need to dead-lift out of the library, lifting 22-30 lb vests over my head is child's play) Having already spent so much, I went for the Tone Fitness 12lb vest; early 2016, it was $20 (currently $30). PROS: -Blue! -Fixed weight -Mesh pocket for purse (coach wristlet clipped to vest and stuffed in pocket) -Reflective tape -3 seconds to put on & adjust -easy to adjust to because it weighs slightly more than a newborn -cheap -good for walking/hiking, nothing which requires bouncing any higher than a standard walk -the "wrist weights", btw, I added a few months ago to move from 12-15lbs. Last week, one of the seams split & beads started coming out. I have narrow wrists, so had to put these on my forearms. I prefer ankle & wrist weights with Velcro and hooks, but these were poorly made & designed. CONS: -not a tight enough fit—would slide/rub, pulling up shirts to my bra line in back -fixed weight -lighter than either kid -there's already a hole in the fabric after less than a year -too loose of a fit for running, dancing, any aerobic activity On to #3: CFFIT pink 22lb, adjustable For the record, no, it can not hold the weights from the MIR vest. Because it is pink, it is $30 more than the men's version, but I need bright colours for my own safety. No instructions were included, but I figured out the back and front straps. For small to medium, only use 2 of the 3 straps. Differences from the blue one: 1. 10.2lbs heavier 2. Shaped like a ninja vest, so I look like Subzero's Barbie sister (if you ever played Mortal Kombat) 3. My shoulders hurt, but I think that's from the nylon having not yet softened 4. I'm sweaty—much tighter fit, so if you are a runner or cyclist, this will work 5. As it's a tight fit, finding the balance between close and I AM WINDED ALREADY is a challenge 6. No place for my wallet (thankfully, I have transitioned to pockets) 7. $66 more, but you can start with at little as 2.2lbs and work your way up to 22 (10 separate weights) 8. PINK! 9. Bulky, but I can rest my wrist on the side while holding my Starbucks cup 10. Unlike the MIR vest, you can not adjust the neck or arm holes. I'm of average height, but my under 5' friends and over 5'10" friends, plus anyone plus-sized, might have a problem with fit, even with the additional belt CONCLUSION: The Tone Fitness vest is best for beginners. If you have worn your children regularly, the CFFIT is a much better value. The MIR is like the CFFIT, but unless you're a natural blonde or have freckles, don't risk it. Disclaimer: as usual, I spent my own money on these products. Not ideal for petite person.
I like this vest, but it does tend to slip back on me, making the weight unevenly distributed toward my back.

Wasn’t expecting it to improve my posture…love it!!
A friend suggested this for weight loss. I don’t weigh myself but I have noticed some toning in my arms back and stomach. What I love the most is what it’s done for my posture. If you slouch it’s not comfortable if you sit and stand up straight you don’t even know your wearing it until you start to sweat.

Great workout.
Wore it for the first time for my workout. Had it on for about 1.5 hours. It's a good weight for what I'm using it for. I am not a runner so I can comment on how it would be on a run. It is slightly bigger in the back area so maybe it might flop around on a jog. Again that's just my guess because I'm not using for that. I am about 5'4" and about 150 and I am a size D. I was concerned about where that strap will sit but it sits above my chest ant the perfect height not uncomfortable around my breasts. The only complaint is that the elastic under the arms is a bit scratchy. Wearing a T shirt solved the problem. I might need to cut the sharp piece off next time. The "cell phone" holder on the chest strap is either for a small flip phone from the 90s or for a small iPod. There is no way a phone of today will fit. lol I did however try to squeeze my iPhone 7 plus and I had to giggle at that. Other than that the vest is great. Gave me a great work out and I can't wait to use it again. One thing I am concerned about is not being able to wash it. There is no way to remove the shell and clean it. I'm not sure how that will hold up with several sweaty sessions.

Awesome to help improve performance
Pretty awesome. This is heavy for some, but try walking around with the amount of weight you might want first before complaining and leaving an unjustified review because you can't handle the weight. I just went for it because that's what I do. I bought this to gain strength and cut my mile time. I AM NOT a runner, but I am now, sort of. Before the vest I probably ran a total of 12 miles at most over 1.5 months. It worked after only 3 4.5 mile runs up and down a hill, and 2 other 1 mile runs on flat grounds. This was over three weeks and my time went from 10:30 mins down to 8:31. It hurt my bones, joints the first day but I supplement collagen so it was gone by morning. I also do pull ups with the vest on and HIIT and it's awesome. Me: 5'4", size 0, 120 lb female. Athletic build What else about the vest... It's comfortable for me You will get sweat on it, but it dries quick but I also don't sweat much The silly pouch in front fits nothing for me There's mesh on the back for I guess you to put things in, but I wouldn't. I use a flip belt to store things as well as pockets if my clothes has them. What else? Muscle up buttercup

This is a must have fitness item!
First the CONS - it stinks. Not a little, a lot, so you should give it some time to air out before you use it. I left mine in my garage for 24 hours so it could heat and cool. If you have a small body, the one logical thing it lacks is a way to control the excess strap. That can be cut if needed though so not a huge issue. Pros - Honestly one of my best all time Amazon buys. You NEED this if you are trying to get into shape, even if you don't have time to dedicate to working out. This is high quality construction, is a perfect add on body weight for all day wear, comfortable and well thought out design. It is so comfortable, and stays put so well, that it was a dream come true for weight resistance with sit-ups. It is so much better you can't even compare it to holding on to a platter. I had no problem holding a pair of dumbbells to my chest while wearing it and doing inclined sit-ups. For anyone who already holds huge platters (or other weights) it is still a good item because you can put it on and leave it on. I put it on and wear it while I workout and while I do normal house chores. This is a no-brainer purchase to help get into shape or keep in shape in my opinion.

Absolutely perfect
I currently wear this weighted vest whenever I go to work (manual labour at a warehouse) or university; I have to walk long distances for both so the weighted vest is good stamina training. It's really comfortable and is a reasonable weight that doesn't add strain to my back, and is well hidden if I wear a sweater or coat on top of it, that way no one questions why I would think of wearing a weighted vest when I'm unloading trailers at work lol (The back photo was a picture of a reflection from a mirror and was cropped, so it's somewhat blurry btw).

12lb Weighted Training Vest
Great product overall. As mentioned by several other reviewers, it fit's better when I wear it upside down. It's comfortable and stays in place during high intensity workouts ie. burpees, box jumps, etc. There are elastic pieces that hold the front and back together on the bottom part of the vest and I noticed the second time I wore it for a workout that the elastic is already starting to stretch out and has pulls in it. Not sure if this is going to cause problems in the future or not? I've been using this vest daily for the last 10 days and other than the potential issue with the elastic, it works well and definitely increases the burn during workouts. I especially noticed a difference during my usual 5km run this week.

Excellent quality and decent price
I was extremely satisfied with this weight vest. The fit was perfectly snug and the quality of the material was excellent. I have already recommended it to my friends as it is a good tool to build endurance and speed. Thank you.

Fits well; well made
As advertised. I use it for daily brisk walking, and it's held up very well. Good stretch for comfort across the shoulders.

Great weighted vest
Good weighted vest for running and other cardio to amp up your game. The weight it all on your back so if you’re looking for something that more evenly distributed this is not your product UNLESS you buy two and cross them which would 100% work with this product
