This plastic held up through the Winter just fine, but there are a few things that make this kit not the best deal, in my opinion. I'll tell you why I wouldn't get this, and I'll tell you what (I think) you should get. First, the plastic is VERY hazy. If you're looking to make a privacy window, or obstruct a view, this sheet may be for you. The same is not true of all Frost King sheets. In fact, the film I recommend is Frost King, but not this kit. Second, the Frost King tape is not worth messing with. (Actually, I don't remember if this kit includes tape. But just in case it does here's the story.) To be fair, it does work. Once it is adhered, it stays. But getting it stuck is a PAIN. It adheres almost as tenaciously to its release paper as it does to most other surfaces. Also, until the plastic is firmly in place, every little breeze, and every little pull to stretch the film, can easily pull the sheet down. Achieving proper adhesion takes a lot of pressure and painstaking effort. For my money, Frost King tape is not worth it. Spend more and get the 3M. Although the FK tape will hold up, the 3M is SO MUCH EASIER. Honestly, I am a cheapskate. But the FK tape is not worth the frustration. Third, even though this kit is not the best plastic, it is also not the the cheapest. The best deal I have found is Frost King V6225. For about the same as you pay for this (and less than you pay for a 3M kit that does 2 to 4 windows), you get a roll of plastic 62 inches by 25 feet. You can cut it for big windows or small. The plastic is very clear and you get a lot of it. Note, it is not a kit; it is just a roll of film. You will have to buy tape or make cardboard strips. (I'm cheap, I would never buy the strips - that's what old cereal boxes are for. That said, I'll remind you other cheapskates that the FK tape, for less money, with 5 times as much tape, is really tempting. And really not worth it.) In short, I suggest you get the Frost King V6225, and however much 3M tape you need.
