Appears effective

I previously used a squeeze bottle lubricant for my shredder. These sheets are more convenient, not messy, and have extended the life of my shredder. The first time I ordered, I received an umbrella (?!), but problem was fixed.

I have purchased this item before and will again. I like to be able to have it to use for my personal shredder. They are easy to use and the price of them is good.

Work great

Low mess and easy to use

They do the job. Improved the lubrication on paper shredder blades and decreased the amount of heat/wear on the blades during use.

Helps, easy to use

Seems to help keep my shredder lubricated. If it starts sounding a little off, I use one of these sheets n it's back to normal.

Easy, convenient, no mess

Years ago, before I found sheets like these, I used to oil my shredder blades with Tri-Flow. That worked; it worked very well, actually. But, it was inconvenient, and it always left a mess that I needed to wipe up around the paper slot. These sheets work, and they're easy, convenient, and don't leave a mess. One sheet when I empty the bin, and the shredder keeps working smoothly.

Interesting Product

For years I have used the shredder oil to lubricate the shredder, but thought I would try these. Super easy to use - just but them in the shredder. Not sure how they "sharpen", but do seem to appropriately grease the shredder. Much cleaner than the oil, but a ton more expensive. I will see how long my 24 pack lasts - but the cost is about 3X of oil and oil would last longer - but what is the convenience worth?

Wird gebraucht

Anständige Arbeit erfordert anständiges Werkzeug... und anständiges Werkzeug braucht immer etwas Pflege, damit es auch lange anständiges Werkzeug bleibt. Das gilt auch für Aktenvernichter; das Schneidwerk z.B. muss hin und wieder auch mal geölt werden. Das war früher immer einigermaßen Schweinkram, da man das Öl niemals so klein dosieren konnte, damit es ohne Spritzer abging. Mit diesen Schmierblättern ist dieser Zustand beseitigt. Das Aufbringen eines geeigneten Schmiermittels auf die Messer des Schneidwerks ist kein Problem mehr: Einfach eines dieser Schmierblätter genauso durchlaufen lassen wie ein zu schredderndes Blatt Papier - fertig. Ein gut gepflegtes Schneidwerk ist weniger anfällig gegen Papierstaus, vermindert Staub und sorgt (buchstäblich) für einen reibungsloseren Betrieb. Ein praktischer Tipp: Bevor man den Auffangbehälter ausleeren muss, ist der richtige Zeitpunkt, ein solches Schmierblatt durchlaufen zu lassen. Da dieses schmiermittelhaltige Blatt genauso geschnitten wird wie ein normales Blatt, fallen die ölhaltigen Schnipsel in das geschredderte Papier und verschmiert den Auffangbehälter nicht. Ich benutze schon seit Langem solche Schmierblätter im Büro und ich kenne - weil ich die auch zu beschaffen habe - die Preise. Diese Schmierblätter von AmazonBasics sind wirklich günstig... das bedeutet, dass sie die selbe Wirkung/Leistung zu einem vergleichsweise kleinen Preis entfalten. Ich bevorzuge normalerweise Pflege-Produkte die vom Hersteller der zu pflegenden Geräte empfohlen werden - in diesem Fall kann ich das Produkt ganz allgemein empfehlen. Ich hoffe, meine Bemerkungen waren hilfreich...

Convenient and effective

I had a shredder for a few years previously and it was forever jamming with paper and eventually gave up. This time when I decided to buy a replacement, these sheets were amongst the recommendations that I might consider, so I purchased them along with the shredder itself. Best thing I ever did as it keeps the teeth sharpened and lubricated which has made a significant difference and prevented blockage of the main function of the shredder itself. Very pleased and would buy them again.

Amazing, wish I had these for my old shredder, probably could of saved it.

Bought an Amazon Shredder a while back when it was on sale and noticed they had the option to get it with these sheets. At the time of purchase, there was no real saving if purchased with the shredder so didn't real bother. I was going to by them at a later stage if I really needed them. Every 2 months or so I tend to clean out the blades, as they tend to get clogged up with sticky labels (usually from Amazons Packages). Decided to buy these and gave it a go, put the sheet in and then spun it in reverse for 10 seconds. Spotted the difference immediately, blades looked much cleaner and sharper. Also sounded a bit better too when shredding. Don't really shred so many things so won't be using these as often as others do but I have put a label on my shredder just to keep a log of when it was last sharpened. Might do it every 6 months or so and change the intervals if I start using it quite a bit more.

Good value

Good value and these appear as good as any I've used before. I've found over the years investing in regular care of your shredder really will elongate its life and these lubricating and sharpening sachets make maintenance easy and mess free.

So simple to use - just like shredding a piece of paper.

Simplicity to use. Use them after around 30 minutes of shredder use time. With my Amazon micro shredder you can generally tell when they are needed as the cutting time seems to slow down and the device starts to squeak sligjtly. Once used things are back to normal again. Just feed the sharpening pouch in the feeder like a piece of paper and you're done.
