These pencils are great! They are smooth, flow well, great color, much better than I even anticipated, and I'm comparing these to top notch pro pencils!

Nice and big

The only reason this doesn't get five stars is because they leave dust and crumble a little. The disclaimer says not to breathe in the dust (not that I would), but are these toxic?

Have only tried them out. Didn't need metallic pencils. I just wanted them. I wish I had bought the cheap set of crayola for 5 or 6. these were 31 or 32. they are very fat so will last forever. I don't think that they are very bright on paper.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

Someone suggested these for art projects and I'm not disappointed at all!! The big fat wide pencils fit so nicely to get in and create big marks all over. The colors are fabulous and super smooth. You will not be disappointed!! Go for it.

Nice Pencil

I'm so glad I bought these! I have just about every pencil known to man, from crayola down to Holbeins, I love to color and collecting brands is my thing, and when I came across these I watched the video about 10 times, read the reviews twice and decided to try them. They are super smooth, lay down with a ton of pigment, blendable, just nice to use. My only gripe is the size. Why so big? I don't get it, I had to buy a different sharpener just for these, but whatever, I'm happy with them. Then I was at the Blick store and bought the metallic set as well. I'm glad I didn't waffle and get the smaller set, I went with the 36. I'm a tough critic, I think most things are crap now days, but these are nice and I'd say buy them, you won't be sorry!

Metallic pencils on black paper

From a blogger’s suggestion and testing, I purchased this set of metallic pencils. I also highly recommend them. I wanted metallic pencils that show up well on black paper and I was not disappointed.

Love the wide with -- but how do you sharpen them?

The color, the softness, the ease of coloring are phenomenal ...... one problem that is quite major and that is 'how do these get sharpened?' Something to think about before purchasing that had not crossed my mind.

Great Pencils

Excellent pencils - Easy to blend, nice size for sketching and larger format studio work. You will need to purchase their sharpener to accommodate the pencil size. Outstanding quality - I'll be purchasing more of their brand.

Great quality pencils, size takes some getting used to

As the description suggests, these are very fat pencils - they almost feel like pencils designed for young children. That does take some getting used to, and I certainly wouldn't use them for fine details, but for larger scale drawing or colouring, they really are excellent. They are very soft and extremely blendable, gliding very nicely over the paper. The colour range is good and the intensity of the pigment is strong, so you can layer them beautifully and achieve a lot of effects with them. I use them a lot for backgrounds in adult colouring books because you can cover large areas without seeing many pencil lines or harsh edges, and they blend really well for things like skies and sunsets. I wouldn't want these as my only set of colouring pencils, simply because they are so fat and chunky, but they're a brilliant addition to supplement a collection.

Good pigment amazing size

These pencils have a very good pigment and the size covers large areas quickly. On the down side they are very very waxy pencils that aren’t necessarily good on all papers.

Spitzenklasse!

Unfassbar gute Stifte, wunderschöne Farben, wenn auch leider maximal nur 36. Aber: Sie sind super weich im Auftrag, lassen sich perfekt verblenden und mixen. Vom Gefühl her so gut wie die extrem teuren Luminance. Zur Lichtechtheit kann ich bichts sagen. Ja, sie sind sehr dick, und die Haptik ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, man benötigt auch einen Spitzer für extra dicke Stifte, aber ich habe viele sehr gute und teure sets, und dieser Stift ist mein neuer Liebling! Unbedingt probieren.

Super Stifte! Die Farbauswahl bei 36 Stiften ist genug. Man kann mit den Stiften nicht nur größere Flächen ausmalen, sondern auch sehr feine kräftige Striche zeichnen, wegen der dicken Mine. Sie sind handlich, nicht zu schwer und zum spitzen gehen sie einfach. Ich habe mir den Spitzer von Koh-I-Noor gekauft, der stellt jede Größe von selbst ein. Ich würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen!
