Great for sketching

I love these pencils! They are good for light sketches and they erase pretty well! I’ve also been using these to sketch before I apply alcohol marker on top. Only con is they aren’t as buttery soft as normal prismacolors, but they are probably more for light sketching. I notice if I erase a spot a lot and try and draw on top, after awhile it gets slick and waxy. You get a lot of colors for the price though!

The only thing that would be close to a con is sharpening them can be tricky! Meaning certain sharpeners will eat them up and will make you unhappy….otherwise super AWESOME!!!!

Love

I love these, they are really good for just sketching..but also I've seen alot of people use them to do the under sketch for colored pencil drawings, marker drawings, and painting. When I bought mine they were a little pricey to me...but worth it...

Not so smooth

I generally love Prismacolor, however, I was a little disappointed in these pencils. They are not as smooth as I had expected, and the layering is simply not there. I understand that with erasable colored pencils the pigmentation cannot be as strong, but I had a hard time layering to get the hues I wanted. Otherwise, they are fine for those who are just starting with colored pencils and may need to erase... That feature is great.

Honestly these aren't that great. The lead in them is hard and erases about half the amount you want them to. It feels like a double let down--either give me a soft pencil or one that erases well. I would recommend to people who want something similar to get the Crayola erasable colored pencils. They at least erase completely and are 1/4 the price. They have horrible pencil cases on them, so just sand them off if you really care. Tip on both sets of pencils: make sure you sharpen them because if you don't, the wax bloom on the pencil with make them seem harder than they are. Once you sharpen down the lead, they're a bit softer.

Okay, aber es gibt günstigere Alternativen

Die Stifte tun, was sie sollen, die Farbauswahl ist gut, und ich habe auch keine Qualitätsprobleme mit abbrechenden Mienen. Insofern bin ich mit den Stiften zufrieden. Allerdings gibt es hierzulande eine weitaus günstigere Alternative von Faber-Castell (radierbare Buntstifte). Ich verwende die Stifte für Skizzen und teils auch zum Vorzeichnen bei Buntstift- und Aquarellbildern (weil sie sich besser radieren lassen, als handelsübliche Buntstifte oder Aquarellstifte). Die radierbaren Buntstifte von Faber-Castell hatte ich zuerst und war damit eigentlich ganz zufrieden. Im Internet las und hörte ich aber immer wieder, dass die Colerase um Längen besser seien (weil sie sich besser radieren lassen, einen besseren Farbauftrag haben etc.), daher habe ich einen Gutschein zum Anlass genommen, mir dieses Set zuzulegen. Was soll ich sagen: Bei einem direkten Vergleich erkenne ich keine Unterschiede. Die Faber-Castell-Stifte scheinen mir sogar minimal weicher zu sein, aber vielleicht bilde ich mir das auch nur ein. Wer es nicht auf eine ganz bestimmte Farbe abgesehen hat, kann auf den teuren US-Import meiner Meinung nach jedenfalls verzichten.

Decent pencils

Arrived in excellent condition. Sharpened beautifully with my hand-held Kum two step long point sharpener and have held the point with my swatching (see photo). They definitely erase much better than other coloured pencils but if you have very heavy, thick layers I don’t think anything will get rid of it entirely (but that is the same for graphite). Some colours lift better than others. They did move a bit with water but not at all with alcohol (which was interesting). The resistance to smudging was fairly good. The colours are more vibrant than the photo shows.

Best to Buy from Art Store

I love these pencils so much, they are excellent for sketching things out in color. Don't expect them to erase to well though, they are def a lot easier to fix small mistakes, but erasing whole pieces of work will not happen. Also I highly suggest you purchase these from an art store nearby as the lead isn't as strong as some brands, meaning that as they get tossed around the Amazon truck and thrown on your porch, they break the lead inside the wooden casing. This is why when you go to sharpen and the lead instantly breaks will happen. I had about 7/24 pencils with broken lead already right out of the box, so I do expect many more to be broken as I sharpen further down. For now, it works awesome though!

Leider enttäuschender Eindruck - Minen brechen, kein Zeichnen möglich - keine Kaufempfehlung

Die Stifte wurden für einen Test und für einen Vergleich mit anderen Buntstift-Marken angeschafft. Sie kamen sehr schnell schon direkt am nächsten Tag an. Leider waren sie nur in der Papphülle vom Hersteller und einem viel zu großen Pappumschlag von Amazon verpackt. Außerdem hat der Amazon-Bote zu allem Übel den Umschlag dann auch noch in den viel zu kleinen Briefkasten "gestopft". Da die Stifte unangespitzt sind, mußten für das Ausprobieren alle Stifte angespitzt werden. Da hat sich dann auch gleich herausgestellt, dass über die Hälfte der Stifte (schwarz, grün ...) leider nur abgebrochen sind und man gar nicht mit ihnen zeichnen konnte. Die Farbauswahl bei dem 24er Paket ist eigentlich ganz schön und auch auf dem Blatt machen sie einen guten Eindruck. Die Radierer auf der Rückseite der Stifte sind eher akzeptabel. Schade, dass man einige Buntstifte ausschließlich zum Anpitzen benutzen kann und nicht zum zeichnen. Für den Preis bin ich deshalb eher enttäuscht und würde den Kauf nicht empfehlen. Amazon sollte auf jeden Fall eine andere Verpackung für diese Buntstifte zur Verfügung stellen. Wenn die Minen gebrochen sind, bekommt man nur Stifte zum Anspitzen, aber weniger fürs Zeichnen.
