Great quality and easy to use
I love these garden snips. They are so easy to use and the blades are very sharp.

Blades are great, housing is junk
The blades are great but today, the housing broke. The housing metal is a cheap pot metal which is too bad because I really liked using these snipers. The pink handle was a good choice because it was easy to find them if they were misplaced but the pot metal housing was beyond disappointing.

Topiary pruning
Despite their diminutive size, these snips are a very handy tool for use in the garden. The carbon steel blades are incredibly sharp and make short work of one of those things that are unforgiving of a blunt blade; new, soft shoots, particularly on topiary. The handles are comfortable thanks to the plastic covering the underlying metal and are shaped to sit well in the grip. I have just pruned the two shaped topiary bushes by my door in five minutes flat, refining their geometric shapes that had strayed a little over the last few months, back into the sharply honed items they were when first purchased. Not a single snagged or broken stem, just neat cuts that should reduce any potential for disease to enter the plants. Once done, the blades are super-easy to clean with just a slightly oiled rag and are then safely stowed away ready for next use by engaging the neat, integral catch. A great tool that is easy to care for.

Inexpensive and works well, super sharp
I'm a rookie 'plant parent' and bought this to prune/shape a turtle vine and cut some succulents for propadation. However I found these very effective for trimming flower stems, which is great as I have a weekly bouquet delivery. Works well cutting off large sharp thorns from rose stems, and makes quick work of woody and thick stems. I can't believe I've been abusing my kitchen shears for so long instead of buying these. I've had them for about 6 weeks now and found them razor sharp, comfortable to use and maneuver. Good value!

Seems a quality product for the price.
Mine arrived this morning, so straight down to the allotment to try them out. I was surprised by how small they are, but that's not a problem (could perhaps be if you have hands like shovels?) the initial impression was of a high-quality of manufacture with good materials employed throughout. Trying them out cutting tomatoes, peppers cucumbers and chillies, I realised that their small size is in fact an advantage. It is easy to get into tight places like convoluted tomato stems, and runner-bean clusters. The blade seems sharp, and the cuts are clean. I like them, but I'll stick to secateurs for thicker stems and stuff.

They broke but manufacturer replaced ASAP
These were ideal for pruning my Bonsai tree but when I hit a knot in the wood they broke. People on here have said they couldn’t find details of the manufacturer Spear & Jackson to try and sort the problem out. A quick search on the internet found an email address email sent and I received a reply 20 minutes later. I provided my address and a photo of the snips 10 days later I have received a brand new pair! Probably the best customer service I have ever had.

Not even managed to last 8 months before breaking in two sadly
Very sadly I have had to write this review as nobody got back to me with an answer to my question as to how to contact Spear and Jackson or Amazon when the returns period is out of time - sorry but I would have expected them to last a year at LEAST! I would really like to receive a replacement pair please - if someone could tell me how!!
