Ideal for Grass and Small Plants
Corona grass Shears are beautifully designed and a bargain for only fourteen bucks. Though I've been using these shears for a month it's been cutting the grasses and small plants around my yard with ease. It's not going to cut the kudzu in my yard because that's not it's intended use. These grass shears are ideal for light lawn work. Anything more heavy-duty, such as cutting tree branches or vines, you'll need loppers.

Hard to use
These do the job, however, the blades are too long and for me, it’s hard to maneuver. I think had the blades been shorter in length it would have been easier to use. It is extremely hard to lock! I ended up by another type of clippers! Don’t waste your money on these.

Corona makes the best garden tools!
Easy to use, very sharp and the three positions make these ideal for any job requiring grass shears.

Didn't last very long.
Update (2011-05-13): I have since purchased theCorona Clipper #GS 3770 Forg Grass Shear and would readily recommend it over this product. Same manufacturer, much better quality. Update (2009-08-13): Since writing this review, I have had several additional issues with the clippers that cause me to no longer recommend this product. After using these shears just short of a month, the cutting ability of this product has dropped significantly. I believe this to be a result of a loosening of the pin the top blade pivots around. These clippers went from cutting very well to barely cutting at all. Now grass often passes right between the blades. Also, the bolt I mentioned previously (below) eventually came completely off of the clippers while I was using them so I had to buy another one. Original Review (2009-07-22): I have been testing out these shears for three days for various tasks around my house. So far I have used the clippers for edging along the sidewalk, edging along a mulched area (in combination with a half moon edge tool), trimming along the side of the house, pruning a small bush, and cutting down some weeds. The shears performed well for all of the grass cutting tasks, but when pruning my bush and trimming thicker weeds, the shears struggled (although they still cut). This isn't what they are intended for, so I don't hold it against them. The rotating blades make using the shears comfortable for both edging and trimming. Before getting these shears, I used two different versions Garden Plus grass shears from Lowe's and the corona product is far superior. These shears reliably cut the full length of the blades which was a problem with the Garden Plus shears. Reliably cutting at the tip allows trimming hard to reach places using the tips of the blades. The corona shears are very solidly built from all metal parts and the blades are also very solid. The springing action used to open the blades works very well, although it increases fatigue when using the blades. One problem I had with these clippers: when cutting thick clumps of grass the spring loaded top blade has a tendency to separate from the lower blade and allow the grass to pass between them. This did not always happen, but it is something to take note of. I suspect this is a side effect of the spring loaded blade design and a product with a fixed blade design like theCorona Clipper #GS 3770 Forg Grass Shear would not be affected by similar problems. An additional note: there was a bolt loose on the top of the blade spring housing that I noticed while using the shears. I was able to tighten it without issue.

Great for hard to trim areas
Use these for years. They last a couple seasons if you care for them. I use them to trim around sprinkler heads and corners where the other trimmers can’t get to.

Best Clippers Period!
These grass clippers are the best. Metal from one end to the other - no cheap plastic! Cut great and have the option to use in multiple positions. Definitely recommend!!!!!
