Works Well, But Noisy

Easy replacement for my home builders vent fan

My homebuilders bathroom exhaust fan had gone out for the 2nd time in 15 years. It never really did a good job of clearing steam out of the bathroom, seen from a fogged up mirror. The older paddle wheel fan shown was rated at 50CFM (I think). So a squirrel cage fan rated for 110 CFM seem to be a good choice for an upgrade. The install was easy, took me a couple of hours, instructions are easy to read and understand. My only complaint is not related to this fan directly. The new fan is designed for a 4inch flex vent duct. My old one used a 3inch flex duct hose. If I could, and I might in the future, I should have installed a 4inch flex duct in the attic. But installing this fan from inside the bathroom space was important for me. I had to use a 4 to 3 inch reducer to connect my vent hose. I'm probably not getting the whole 110 CFM because of this. But the fan still out performs my old one by leaps and bounds. The mirror gets a small amount of fog only at the very top when I take a very hot shower. Bathroom is no longer muggy getting out of the shower. So far so good.

Worked for just replacing fan guts

I was able to easily swap out the guts with these new components and grille to avoid a messy tear-out.

Great basic vent fan

This vent fan actually moves a lot of air, unlike older fans that just have a wheel or blade in a round hole, this one is a “squirrel cage” blower with a molded volute housing. It is not too loud, but loud enough to cover “bathroom noises” The fan is designed so that it can be installed into a finished ceiling from below. If you were replacing an existing fan you could conceivably do it all from below. Again, this thing really positively moves the air.

Wasn't a direct replacement by dimensions

Quieter than my old one and the online reviews said this a direct replacement for the one I was removing. This was the internet's fault, not the seller. They delivered exactly what I ordered and they did it timely. This unit is quiet and works fine.

Very quiet and strong 100 CFM fan

Replaced a 50 CFM fan that we had for about 17 years. Originally installed by builder. Very strong fan and much quieter than the original. Only issue I had was that the original install barely left room for the extra 1-1/2 inch width and the 4in vent tube now replacing the 3in tube. Not the fault of the manufacturer but rather the dummies who installed flooring, other pipes and wiring in the attic. So my 30min installed took me 3 hours to try to position the new fan so as to not have to cut a new hole in the ceiling somewhere else. Anyway, great product! Measure twice, cut once.

Not much better than the one that came with the house.

- Suction seems like its about the same as my old one. I tested it with holding a toilet paper up to it. - Installation was hard. Had to pay someone to put it in. - Has a rattling noise when it's on, other reviewers have said the same thing. - Noise level about the same as my old one. Pretty much wasted my money to get the same thing as what I had. Got fooled by the suction power stated...Very upsetting!

Powerful and good deal

This would cost way more in big box stores, this was bigger than the one I had and more powerful. Not very loud but you can hear it, its a fan. Great buy easy install if you no what your doing.

Meh

The fan is loud and almost sounds loose. It's unpleasant to hear. It sounds like a old breaking bath fan. The fan is also not nearly as strong as what I'd expected from this brand at this price. If it wasn't already installed I'd return it.

Quieter than i expected

Relatively easy to install and quieter than i expected. Certainly quieter than my last fan. Pushes decent amount of air so overall seems like good value.

Pour le prix c'est ok. L'installation n'est pas trop difficile. Par contre, elle est bruyante.
