Good Caprese slicer

Well designed Mozarella ball slicer that really works. First time used created perfect mozarella slices for Caprese. I think it works best at slicing a chilled ball right out of the fridge; might tend to crush a room temp ball. Must wash with dish brush after use; rinsing does not clean cheese residue off base or wires.

Why does the price keep going up?!?

Slicer is great for cutting Mozzarella but wires are not of strongest quality and breaks easy! WHY THE PRICE KEEPS RISING IS BEYOND ME?!? first time i purchased it was less than $25, now it's almost $40 with no upgrades to product, about to get into the cheese slicer business.. WTF?!?!

Poor Quality Control?

We had one of these which made in Europe (Germany?) which we used to slice ripe strawberries for years until one of the wires broke. I ordered a new one which was identical except that now it was Norpro brand. Having been satisfied with other Norpro products, I thought this would work fine but after one use, the wires loosened. It sounds like other people have had the same problems. Norpro must be under new management or something because the quality seems to have taken a nosedive. Too bad because we loved this gadget.

A big and serious soft cheese slicer

I had expected the Norpro 18/10 Stainless Steel Soft Cheese Slicer to be only bit bigger than an egg slicer. But when it arrived I discovered it was a both well made, nicely finished in 18/10 stainless, but also big enough to handle a mozzarella cheese ball or other soft cheese about as big as a baseball softball or ostrich egg. This is a big and serious cheese slicer. It has been great for making mozzarella slices for capressa salad and for making multiple slices of cheese dice for pizzas and so forth. Easy to clean up in the dishwasher. A great slicer. RECOMMENDED.

Great for slicing soft cheese

Product is great for slicing soft cheeses such as mozzarella cheese. Is large enough for the larger mozzarella cheese logs.

Helpful Kitchen Device

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is : I would have liked the slices to be a little thinner. Although, the slices has worked well for every recipe I have used the slicer for, thus far.
