Fantastic Timer, Battery goes bad after 1 year
Overall, I love this timer. I rewired my pool pump with a NEMA 20A plug and 12 Gauge wire and this timer has been working with my 1HP pump for 3 years now and doesn't skip a beat. I was worried the startup amperage might be too much for the timer, but the timer has been able to handle it. It's great to be able to buy a cheaper timer with much more functionality than most pool pump timers. My only complaint is that the battery does go bad after a year, but that's no problem as it's super easy to re program.

very good timer, but battery does fail
This timer has a lot of capability and is pretty weather resistant. We currently have 4 units, two indoor and two outdoor. For outdoor use, we keep it under a cover and out of the direct weather. We have had one battery failure, which means that when you lose power, it loses all its setting (i.e. stops working), has to be reset and reprogramed and works until the next power failure. I understand and appreciate how frustrating this battery failure is and that a better battery should be used in the design. A reviewer stated that the battery is not replaceable, which is almost true - you need to take the unit apart and use a soldering gun to remove the old battery non-functioning battery. I looked for the identical battery replacement (disc 1.2v 80mAh) and found them far too expensive (like $8 if you buy just one). So I removed the old battery and cut two short wires, solder then into the battery connection points on the PC board and solder the other ends of the wires onto a standard rechargeable AAA battery (1.25v 900 mAh). There is plenty of room in the case for this off-board battery. Timer works as good as new.

Relay failed in one year
I ordered a pair of these timers Oct. 17 2021. I used them for outdoor Christmas light 2021 and rhey functioned perfectly. They have both failed while in dry storage indoors. The relays do not activate anymore. I cannot recommend these timers. I despise spending my hard earned money on garbage! I recommend old school mechanical timers.

Works and is easy.
4.5 stars. This model is designed to be mounted on a wall/post. This is important because mounting it allows for the outlets to point down and not up (avoid rain). If you're not going to mount, than buy the model with outlets facing down when hanging. The programming is easy and makes sense. I own two. The internal battery died on one (would be better if this product were designed to allow for battery replacement! - same 3 year lithium batteries used for Realtor sentrilock lockboxes maybe?), but the manufacturer was pleasant and sent me a replacement unit at no cost. Note: if the internal battery does die, you can still keep the unit; it's just at you'll have to reset the program should you unplug it or lose power.

Use for my 12' 12' above ground pool pump 1.5 hp 15 amp, Auto on/off is tricky to figure out!!
Thanks to all the Reviewers I was able to find out how to program this timer for Auto on/off...using the sheet manual the instructions are not clear! This is why I give it 4 stars. On the sheet look down to title "To Override the Timer" below that, it shows the 4 on/off settings with explanations for use...Auto On didn't work for me. So when programming this timer it never tells you about the "auto settings" or how to use them, so you think once you've programmed your times that it will turn on and off as scheduled (because it says "on" for first time and "off" second time)!!!...weird it didn't turn on...lol...SOOO... I'd had the timer for 10 days and it took 5 of those days to get it to turn on and off "automatically". 3 reviewers address this issue, but only one made the most sense. Following this review it is now working perfectly. After programming with the times you want your device to turn on and off (AUTOMATICALLY) as manual instructs, you hit the clock button to finish... THEN you have to hit the on off button until it shows Auto Off, that's all...device will NOW turn on and off with your scheduled times. It sounds crazy but that seems to work the best. Auto on made my pump stay on continuously. And THAT was weird to figure out without help from a reviewer who had the same problem. You Cannot contact the company for any help (number's at bottom of sheet), if you are lucky U might be able to leave a message, BUT you will NEVER get a call back! So I wadded through many reviews before I found my "Gem" reviewer. I almost sent the timer back...but once I figured out how to get it to be an Automatic Timer for me and it's doing the job well so far...I'm keeping it. Over all it's a good product, very waterproof and secure. Since I've been using it we've had deluges of rain night and day every day for a week here in Florida! It purrs along as if no rain was happening. Good Luck, Hope this helps.

Great Timer
I use this on my boat on-board chargers. I only want them to run one day a week. In the past if a battery is weak the auto charger won't ever turn off and boil the water out of it. This solved that but keeps the batteries charged. Great product.

Short life. Better keep a replacement handy.
If you use this for a critical use, I do, then you will need a backup. I recommend having a second purchased sometime between 9 and 12 months because that is the maximum I have been able to keep mine working. Sometimes it's been cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes than Amazon. Been using these for 6 years. It would be wonderful if the battery were replaceable. Besides that it does everything I need. It definitely has an achilles heel, just be aware. It's reasonable cost makes this tolerable which is why I keep buying them.

Working for several months - perfectly.
Programming can be a bit confusing until you get used to it - the buttons are marked but some of them do dual function and it's a bit of an effort to get the thing to work the way you want. Instructions are OK but I would not call them great. Most importantly it works well and is timing my night lights outside - but I wouldn't put it out in the weather, it's inside my garage. Don't know if it is weather tight, but it's a good timer.

I bought it to reboot my router regularly
I wanted a manual dial timer so that when I am away it would reboot my router regularly. I could not find a manual timer so I bought this one because if the power fails it has a memory that will hold the settings for the programming. So far it has worked without fail. It must be plugged in and charged before programming it.

Solid timer with lots of features!
This timer is excellent. You can program up to 21 individual on/off sequences in it. It can handle a wide variety of load types. I also like that it has two outlets on the bottom, which is really convenient for holiday lights. The built-in rechargeable battery is a nice touch.
